Biffa, the splitter that mixed both machinery parts and plates has no use anymore and removing it could possibly make it easier to input the plates 27:28

You never want two different parts on the same belt. If the two sides of the input of the splitter differ in frequency (which is an inevitability) the side that is greater will overflow the output belt with parts stopping the entire process.
might be more usable if you make your primary lines down the middle to be alternating on the ground and in the air, then you can easily put the splitters in. Might then need to add a 3rd layer once you go further along.
It is reaching perfect levels of planned chaos. Love it.

Edit, you mean this spagetty line I think,they started making 'the bus' in factorio. Splitting off the items you need where you need them. Just to get things organised more. Down side if of cause that the first few machines are getting all the parts and the further down you go the less parts will be available...
FYI, you haven't changed the loaders to output on the splitter factory. don't know if you caught that. you'd probably will see it in the next episode.
if you split the machine parts first (move the splitter to the right one square) and use the outside split for the production then raise it over the plates with a splitter for the plates, you can keep your bus line and only have machine parts on the second level. (drop it back down after.)
another option since you're noticing spacing option is to put the output of machine parts electrical components on the second level. you can stack conveyors above the current plates and rods. then if you need something you can split it and bring it down. It's also visual thing where you can say the object on top required the object below roughly. I'm assuming the later products doesn't need more plates and rods, so you can just drop the machine parts and electronic components down to ground level beyond the factory that needs plates and rods.
I love that idea Takumi. Before reading your comment I was thinking this; the item that needs to be split of, first raise it, then put a splitter on, bring one side just down to continue on the line, the second halve is then used to go into the machines. Cleaner splitting and your idea to have the outputs one level up makes it perfect! The possibilities are endless and our creativity is getting better and better LOL

ADD A SPLITTER DIRECTLY BEHIND THE CURRENT ORIGIN SPLITTER...FOR THE PLATE LINE THAT IS LOW...THAT WAY IT WILL DO A FULL LINE ON BOTH LINES...RIGHT NOW ITS DOING HALF A LINE ON BOTH LINES...IT IS THE FIRST SPLITTER THAT SPLITS THE PLATE LINE IN 2 AT THE BEGINNING OF THE BUS
this is going to get complicated fast isn't it😅, also when you unlock conveyer belt II, do you need to rip everything out and replace them, or can you just upgrade it in place?
because if you need to replace everything... you're gonna be there a while
You can upgrade it in place, I was so happy when I realized this. If you have ever played Satisfactory, it works just like that. Just click on the old belt with the new and it replaces the whole segment.

So I just got this game yesterday, I noticed the ore resources do eventually go away while the bots mine it. Do ore deposits regenerate or respawn after the mining bots finish that resource? Love the video's by the way and can't wait to see what you do with Foundry! 🥰
There finite but there are massive deposits that you can find that with a little bit of oil (Fracking Fluid) you can turn it into a infinite deposit. Oil is finite but is over tuned so you get way more oil per patch.

It looks like on your plate production chain, the last on the line are lacking ore.
I was thinking, could you create a component "buffer" by putting a storage container to grab the output from a refinery or whatever it's called, and then place an output on the container?
I mean, I'm sure you could, but would it be useful to do it?

I'm not sure if the resource deposits can run out, or if they are practically infinite. I figured that if they can run out, it could be a good idea to create a buffer for when you need to find and set up a new mine. I dunno, I guess I'll find out in your future videos.

On a more serious note: _Satisfactory,_ while _amazing,_ is NOT the end all and be all. You can NOT dig terrain in _Satisfactory_ while you CAN in _Foundry_ (and _Minecraft._ )
Does one “need” to landscape in _Satisfactory_ ? No, but some want to see more of a cross between _Minecraft_ and _Satisfactory_ and Foundry_ MAY fill the need.
Unfortunately _Foundry_ misses the mark for me but some will be happy with it since they complain about _Satisfactory_ not providing “direction”. (Its strength is also its weakness.)
Competition in the factory building game is good - it inspires people to try new things.
@@MichaelPohoreski I never planned to go this deep in to it. I do get your explanation. And you make valid points. For me a personal thing, will probably the graphics. While Satisfactory is running on UE5, with Lumen. And god... I love Lumen so much. It's really hard to come back from it. (In the same genre). Probably a personal thing, but my eye wants something as wel.

Is it really a good idea to make a main bus line?
When Ore pockets deplete.
In about 12-20 hours there will be no more ore deposit.
I'm all down for stock piling, but making a bus line in early game... that just seems counter productive.
But it does look pretty good.
Sidenote, I had the same thought about using multiple research units... but it doesn't work. It doesn't increase speed it just uses power.

I really wish CZcamsrs that play first-person perspective games would stop gesticulating with their mouse to indicate something. For some of us, it's quite nauseating. Looking around to show things off, fine, but the quick shaking of the mouse ... can be rough.
