@shopchefaltacc well, super silver in sonic forces speed battle and sonic dash has been done well, besides I heard that the idw comics are becoming canon as well which they had super sonic and super silver destroying the metal virus so yeah, I guess you can say that super silver is appearing again, we should not forget about super shadow as well, yes he has appeared multiple times but he still needs to be shown more cause in almost every game there is super sonic while super shadow only appeared in sonic adventure 2, shadow the hedgehog and 06, maybe we can count forces speed battle and dash endless running, those had super shadow but the story never had super shadow again.

4:50 and 5:12 I find it interesting how even when everyone else is gathering around dead Sonic, Shadow initially hangs back and keeps his distance. He doesn't utter a word or even show shock in his face; he only closes his eyes and remains stoic and silent as if in resignation, as if seeing death was something all too familiar to him.
6:46 Then when Amy starts crying, he turns away while everyone else just hangs their heads, as if witnessing this open display of grief was too uncomfortable for him. These little details are subtle but effective, and I love how they capture Shadow's personality and show he's the kind of person who would likely be awkward at funerals, neither able to join in on openly sharing grief with others nor able to offer comfort to those grieving around him. Not necessarily because he's heartless, but because it's just his personality.
Yeah, Shadow is in no way heartless. His worst fears have come up to surface and is forced to look at death in the face once again. He wasn't able to save the people he was closest to, or anyone. It is the reason why he remains distant. He also gives limited eye contact to people (unless it was in his interest or was focused on eliminating the threat) because he didn't want to see or think about what could be the fate of his friends like when he saw Maria die in front of him - his pure, raw emotions are channeled through his actions and he was aware of how dangerous he can be around to those in his circle. Shadow's shadow was the cause of Sonic's death and he couldn't do anything to save him - the open display of mourning only hurts him more because he wasn't able to "make people happy". Shadow is very compassionate - he just could not express it so openly in fear of intimacy and risk reliving the hurt.

Sonic 06 was universally panned, yes. Everybody knows this. They could have done better with the expressions, yes. Discussing how much the game sucked and how it was presented would be me beating a dead horse. I am simply analyzing Shadow's character, what has been given here, and how far he's come as a character from ALL GAMES. One of Sonic 06's few highlights was Shadow's characterization/development. Shadow never took pleasure in seeing someone die, regardless of their alignment, because he already witnessed that once with his only friend, Maria, so naturally, he'd look away. It's not hard to make this conclusion when you focus on just Shadow in a GENERAL sense - a simple gesture like having his arms crossed and looking away (showing signs of discomfort) while the hearts-over-sleeve Amy goes about sobbing uncontrollably over Sonic, tells us a lot of things about Shadow and what was already established, even in a rushed game like this. Not to mention he is one of the most complex characters in all of Sonic's universe.

Plus he already lost Maria and losing Sonic was even worse because that's one of his new friends and he probably doesn't interact with his new friends a lot because he's afraid if he does GUN will kill them too.

That's generally a thing of the sonic games. While the gameplay itself can be a hit or miss (with 06 and Boom definitely being misses), the music is always great. Maybe not every single track, but there is always a nugget or two to find in each game.
well when the game adds a human princess kissing a dead blue hedgehog top it off with horrible game breaking bugs, and a lackluster sonic storyline sonic's story is the least entertaining the OST is 10/10 though

I'm not sure how Shadow's personality changed from then to now; he wasn't always an edgelord. He just doesn't know how to express his concern knowing he had a dreadful past- and that he pledged to both Amy and Maria. He's the kind to protect his loved ones and not let them endure the same thing he experienced, he also guards what's precious to them (that could be humanity or anything else), and now his character has been butchered. His portrayals nowadays is him being a total jerk but he was not the way he is back then. I really hope they bring back this Shadow in the next games

if they made a remake of this game, fixing everything that was wrong, all the bugs and the like, I'm sure it would be very successful, it has one of the best villains in the franchise..

They did, Well not SEGA, a fan and his team made a remake called Project 06. It fixed almost all the bugs aswell as remastering all graphic and gameplay details

No matter the criticism, I respect Mephiles as a villain for one good reason and as anticipated, ‘actually’ killing Sonic.
Sonic's friends being playable and actually helping him when he needs its most is compelling. Why did it take 17 years before that happened again?
I think Sega thought everything in the game is bad so they took away playable characters
It’s because of this games negative reception they went away from the Adventure formula and multiple playable characters not named Sonic.

Say what you will about Sonic 06, but I loved this game. It was my introduction to the world of Sonic the Hedgehog, I enjoyed the storylines(for the most part, Elise was always weird), I enjoyed the music, but while the Princess was weird, the ending that they have at the very end is heartbreaking, and the song only adds to it.
If they had cut out the weird romance and just made the two very good friends, it would have completely changed how most people perceived the story. And yeah, that ending of them saying goodbye is still really sad. 😢

I'm pretty sure it's stated in an interview or something along those lines that Shadow and Sonic are the only ones to remember Solaris due to their expirence with the Super Forms. Not too sure how accurate that is though.

Actually it was Microsoft's fault, they had an agreement about this game and Sega didn't have much time to develop this game and I'm not pretty sure but I remember that in that time they were working in other sonic game so you can imagine how hard It was

I think what would've been interesting is a post credits scene showing Mephiles had actually survived and planning his next plans because seriously just because villains are defeated doesn't mean they're going to stay gone for good. Unless they're dead almost like all the Disney villains.

Cool and I do believe it's possible Shadow and Sonic act the way they do now is because Shadow blames himself for what happened and he is distancing himself from his friends because he failed to stop Mephiles in time and Sonic is still hurt over the loss of Chip if these two things are the cause of it it would make total sense.

Sonic's death would've been emotional if it was just done right.
Broken Game or not the fact that this was the last Major Game to feature the rest of the cast as Playable (Minus Team Chaotix Cream Big and Metal Sonic) its a great sendoff for them and also this was a great way to sign off the rest of the 4kidz cast (After 06 we Black Knight and Unleashed which only had Jason Dan Bella Mike and Lisa as the only returning VA's)

I always liked Elise she reminds me of Princess Zelda but in Sonic Style and she's better than Peach Peach.
I would like to see her reunite with The Sonic Gang in the newest Sonic Videogames and this time have her meet Cream and Cheese they never got the chance to meet.

I like the no-nonsense Dr Robotnic of this game. In my opinion that made this Eggman the most terrifying of them all.
Sure he has that over the top cartoony look, and it borders on uncanny valley, but his "business professional" personality pulls it off and makes him scary.

Super forms don’t mean completely invincible, they’re just more durable and can be affected by attacks on their level

Time and better resource management, if they had both of these this game would’ve been a fucken masterpiece for it’s time. Too bad we’ll never get the same caliber of story telling like this again.

*He prepares a energy laser, but the T. rex and the Spinosaurus grabbed him by the neck on opposite sides and Infinite touched his forehead, reverting him back to his normal apex form.*

*Hyper Infinite blasts Giga's brain like he's nothing.*

Out of everything in this game, I always like to play the last episode at sundown. Why it is it's because I find it epic playing the last episode at the night time while this part of the game is dark and tense.

The 3rd story after Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros, Mario vs Donkey Kong 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic Rivals 1 and 2, Mario, Luigi ,Wario and Yoshi of the Mushroom World and Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow and Sliver of Mobius use the Crystal Stars and the Chaos Emeralds to transformed into their Super from to flight the new Metarex name Neo Dark Oak with the help of Bowser, Eggman and their friends.

Iblis and Mephiles combined into Solaris.
I'm pretty sure that if they did a story revision, things would have been so much more polished. Such as:
*Sonic an Elise would have choose not to extinguish the flame and instead found a way to destroy Solaris withour further disrupting the timestream (Which was already turbulent from all the time traveling done)
*Sonic and Blaze would've recognized each other after Rush. Silver would have told Sonic about her sacrifice to stop Iblis much to the blue blur's sadness. Maybe she reunites with them in the epilogue and we get an explaination on how she met Silver.

Awesome Video! As Sonic is a LOZ fan this game is Sonic's Version of Ocarina Of Time. Which makes Mephiles Sonic's version of Ganondorf, Elise Sonic's version of Zelda, Ibilis, Sonic's version of Volvagia, and Silver Sonic's Version of Rauru The Sage Of Light.

I really liked the Final Episode back when I played it as a kid. We can finally play as all of the characters once more. Although I don't like Rouge clamping on the rocks and you can't even unstick her because I have to touch the water or I have to find a flat surface for Rouge to unstick and stop climbing that rocks. The same thing happens on Knuckles.

the cutscenes in sonic will always confuse me. Like why do the intro and the ending have such good graphics but the in-game ones put very little detail into

I just wish this game was properly made and made Elise either an anthropomorphic creature or a full on animal like Somic, Knuckles, Tails, and the others. If that was the case, people would have one less thing to complain about this game. Also, like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, this game should have been worked on more so there were no glitches and/or bugs that would interfere with gameplay. I also don't know why people hate Eggman's design in this game so much. Its a unique take on his usual character design and is really interesting to me.

If the game was completed as intended and the romance between Sonic and Elise was never a thing, I think this game would've been phenomenal
The thing is I don't think people would've minded the romance between Sonic and Elise as much if 1. Elise was actually her own, developed character and 2. Elise was also a Mobian, NOT a human. Which is a shame because Elise could've been a good chatacter and potential love interest for Sonic if they gave more attention to their 'sheltered, well-mannered girl meets rebellious, free-spirited guy and they both learn from one another' thing going on, but their whole "relationship" falls flat and comes across as weird because she's a full grown human woman giving heart eyes to a talking blue hedgehog.
