    The Hawker Typhoon was pressed early into service during the war because it was the only aircraft at the time that could not only keep up with the new Fockle Wulf 190, but it could also catch it,From the Normandy landings into a three month period 666 Pilots ,56% of all Typhoon pilots lost their lives in action over France ,Holland,and Germany flying dangerous low level sorties,tank busting ,attacking goods trains and military targets,at that low level the flak would have been murderous,Typhoon pilots were mostly volunteres from other squadrons flying spits and hurricanes, There is no memorial to these brave men and women who flew and paid the untimate sacrafice, many of us think there should be.,the supreme commander in chief Dwight D Eisenhower, said the chief credit in smashing the enemy sprearhead must go to the rocket firing Typhoon of the second tactical air force, the result of the strafing was that the enemy attack was effectivley brought to a halt,and a threat was turned into a great victory. There will soon be a Typhoon taking to the skys again from the Typhoon preservation group, then may these brave men and womens endevors never be unsung and Hawker Typhoon MK1B , RB396 will be their flying memorial ,my thanks go out to them all. warbirdsnews.com/aircraft-rest... hawkertyphoon.com/

      i can bielive that,thats why after normandy all tanks stayed camoflaged and stayed in the hedgerows, because they new if they were spotted by a typhoon they were toast.

    • @tiagodagostini
      @tiagodagostini Před rokem

      @@skidzholeshot1316 Well historically they were in danger but not toast. Post war assessments show that the accuracy of rocket strikes was under 17% success ratio. So dangerous for the tank, but not a death sentence when spotted by a single plane.

    Your maneuvering could be much better if you use rudder. You like to climb and bank over to begin your runs, throw in rudder to bring your nose around. Happy hunting!!!
