    The one problem that I commonly see in covers of this song is the rhythm of the opening riff, everybody seems to play it comepletely straight sixteenth notes, but there's more to it than that, there's bounce to it, there are sixteenth notes that are accentuated to really give it that jazzy bounce to it.

    If I counted correctly Ohmura is shredding Chicken' picking' stuff at around 140-150 bpm which a good 14-15 nps alternate picking while string skipping and chicken' picking'....That's some amazing speed right there.

    The second guitar player, the one with the Malmsteen-like strat is not Takayoshi Ohmura ! This is Katsu Ohta, one very unfortunately, almost unknown japanese hell-of-a-guitar-player. Check him out too, he deserves it !

    I hate it when people call this soulless because it is robotic. It's power metal so it is supposed to sound like this. If he changed it up it'd be progressive metal.
    There is tons of soul in "soulless" playing. Check out the famous piece Leyenda. Meant to be soulless and yet one of the most celebrated pieces of music for classical guitar. The more robotic you play it the better you are considered at playing it.
    Calling it soulless is just another way of saying you can't actually enjoy this.

      I like them both myself. Seems to me the Fury's have a bit more bite and allow the attack of the pick to jump out. I do for some odd reason like the Hs3 in the neck position. Seems to have a bit warmer punch.
      I do notice when you step on a wah with the Fury's, they scream and cut through nice though.

    Excellent guitar work. The first guy played a really cool tune, had a bit of variety to it besides the straight forward shred. Second guy was also excellent, not so catchy tune but man is he fast.
