@Leecander and these guys are the future legends. when the real malmsteens and gilberts finally pass, it'll probably be your kids or grandkids who'll be talking about the ohmuras, the syus, and all those other young rippers everywhere. of course the pioneers will be remembered, but in due time those who carry on the baton of guitar-oriented music will continue their legacies.
WOW, I have seen a lot of guitarists who pick very fast but I NEVER saw anyone pick o fast entirely with his fingers......Hes got REAL strong fingers........
Tengo más de medio siglo de vida, he visto infinidad de músicos. Lo que hace Takayoshi es descomunal. Creo sin temor a equivocarme, que de los nuevos, junto a Nita Strauss, son los mejores pero lejossss.
@icyfire011 It was really tragic how Malmsteen damaged his hands, at least he had the courage to get up and play again. He's progressively getting better again. But Takayoshi Ohmura is so beast at guitar, way cleaner than most shredders and a master at scalloped frets. If you compare other people who use scalloped frets they don't use it as well as him. Like Karl Sanders or Joe Stump are blown out of the water by Takayoshi.
@OnlyModeratelyMad Well, Malmsteen forged this style of neo-classical rock. It's before Malmsteen and after Malmsteen the Guitar Rock Scene; even if you like it or not. Period.
He's not 24 in this video. He's not even 24 yet. His site says he was born Dec 26, 1983 which only makes him 23 now. This video was on his cd Nowhere To Go which was released in 2004, which makes him no older than 20 at the time. Regardless, he's an amazing player. Cheers...
Actually, I hear a bit of Vinnie, a bit of Morse, a little Takasaki, bits and pieces of a few of the greats...some of his other songs recall some Cacophony stuff. All in all, cool!
i'll say the same thing i said in the other version. "yjm" is most likely the person who had originally uploaded the video to another site before it was brought here. and it just happens to be the initials of yngwie. ohmura has this on an album. find me somewhere of yngwie playing this, or on an album of his and i'll believe yngwie wrote it.
@acdcislaw Yeah, I have to agree with Nivlaxia on that one. Paul still does all his old racer x stufff. And if anything....he's cleaner and more metered now.
@OnlyModeratelyMad I absolutely agree with you. I have nothing against Malmsteen and Gilbert, but it's so damn annoying when people keep comparing them, or even going as far as saying these young shredders are copying them.
@OnlyModeratelyMad Cause nowadays there are no more NEW shredders, they are just guitar players who play like... There's no guitar innovation. In that case, Takayoshi is a mix between Yngwie and Impelliterri. I have to say that 3:44 is amazing btw :)
He has his own style, sense of free play and a passion for music. You should create your own style anyway and not trying to be another guitarist. This guitarist improvises to. Live version is always better when he plays.
well it was actually rhoads, blackmore, and this other guy who were like the innovators of the neo-classical genre.. yngwie just exposed it a lil more... i think.. i don't really remember
@mattwildchild Look up Hellman on youtube. He uses a few good gt-guitar books. One of his biggest video's is taken from a book. As is a few others. I can't remember the name of them right now. They come with backtracks and such. But starting on the books Hellman has shown will get you playing like Syu, Takayoshi, ect..
@OnlyModeratelyMad You are also forgetting that when you do get to this level of playing.. There are no licks you just can't do. Just how much time you spend practicing it.
A Japanese --Malmsteen-- not taking anything away from him as a guitarist, but no "SOUL" with his technique. I prefer Akira Takasaki, just as fast and a lot more "soul" in his playing. Cheers to good rock n roll
Never forget this video since I found it 3years ago.. still amazed me til now
Same here, I found him 7 yers ago. And this still gets me to tears :D
Thank you for keeping my childhood alive all these years....
Excellent melody....excellent Musicians....what more can I say.....
From a old man in Georgia,,,USA...go for it.....
Best Sweep Picker Ever, You Have Taught Miyako Well.

OHMURA has always been true to playing Esp. Fucking love his playing
A quality guitar player like Ohmura has to use quality guitars like ESP! His signature model is amazing!
awsome I love it! takayoshi is one of my fav guitar players in the world
I love his level of precision.
El mejoe guitarrista de la historia, no hay no va a haber uno como takayoshi
a Proper shredder who does not look shredded himself!!!
The chicken picking part that starts at 2:38 as absolutely mind-blowing!
11 years later i found you back!
yes, the sound of the rythmic guitar and the solo guitar remains a lot this impellitteri song
I read all your posts-
relieving that somebody gets the connection.
WOW, I have seen a lot of guitarists who pick very fast but I NEVER saw anyone pick o fast entirely with his fingers......Hes got REAL strong fingers........
Perfectly Takayoshi!!

Live Performance Musician From Japanese it So Amazing and Superb. Live performance it same like in the studio version🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Outstanding.
AWESOME SONG BTW

very nice playin! reminds of impelitteri's aggresive and fast shredding!
Sound a lot like Impellitteri
Svil Buscus i believe Chris was one of his biggest influences, and Impellitterri does have quite a following in Japan
21st Century Chicken Pickin :)
@@diademz2002 I've always love the string skipping part in this music exactly because it sounds a lot with the 21st Century Chicken Pickin

i think so.
he respects impelliteri and discussed as him on the magazine.
i expect that he will grow up further more in the future.
takayoshi y norifumi shima son los mejores....... lanrompen aguante
amazing

Feels like the intro of TFFB of galneryus the first melody
O.M.M. you speak complete sense!
Anyone, where can I get the DVD of this? I think this guy is awesome.
This guy is fucking amazing.
@OnlyModeratelyMad
Well, Malmsteen forged this style of neo-classical rock. It's before Malmsteen
and after Malmsteen the Guitar Rock Scene; even if you like it or not. Period.
Lol, I didn't even think of that. Nice one!
I love this guy! of damn! he's like the japanese yngway
He's not 24 in this video. He's not even 24 yet. His site says he was born Dec 26, 1983 which only makes him 23 now. This video was on his cd Nowhere To Go which was released in 2004, which makes him no older than 20 at the time. Regardless, he's an amazing player. Cheers...
@WhiteDeath Bull, there is always room for innovation. Whether it's intonation or rhythmic syncopations or whatever there is loads of stuff
wow, all the people in the audience probably died watching his insane skill if you hear them applaud at the ending ^^
Really good math!!!!!
cute guy
dude seriously I think ohmura totally owns paul and malmsteen. they play alot of repetitive stuff but this guy is amazing.
Actually, I hear a bit of Vinnie, a bit of Morse, a little Takasaki, bits and pieces of a few of the greats...some of his other songs recall some Cacophony stuff. All in all, cool!
what you sayin those chops are amazing
fuck he is young! i had to order his c.d power of reality from japan, it cost heaps but is soo worth it. i can listen to this over and over again!
it seems that japanese people like very much neoclassical metal!!!!!all the japanese guitarists that i see play like malmstenn....and very good also
Great guitarist. I can hear some impelliteri influence here
Man, ESP strats have sexy paintjobs!!!^_^
reminds me of dragon force, except these guys can actually play live
crazy chicken picking oh wow....how beautiful.
i'll say the same thing i said in the other version.
"yjm" is most likely the person who had originally uploaded the video to another site before it was brought here.
and it just happens to be the initials of yngwie.
ohmura has this on an album.
find me somewhere of yngwie playing this, or on an album of his and i'll believe yngwie wrote it.
everything
wow , seems like this was a concert of japanese guitar players , syu's Doukoku was the same concert i think , BTW ohmura kick ass in this song!
速弾きが、すごいですね。
@heryblax malmsteen don't forget ritchie blackmore and randy rhoads, they were huge contributors, too
Just get the album?
Google Virtuosos Guitarristas. Should be the first link. Then search for Takayoshi in the search bar in the blog.
niiiice xD
@acdcislaw Yeah, I have to agree with Nivlaxia on that one. Paul still does all his old racer x stufff. And if anything....he's cleaner and more metered now.
This guy is amazing, im sure he hit every fret on every string in this song alone...
he looks young, anyone kno how old he is?
19
that 2.37 2.50 is just perfect.
does anyone know where i can get some guitar books? same style as Takayoshi Ohmura, Syu, Gentaro etc
3:31 i love this kind of groove XD
@OnlyModeratelyMad I absolutely agree with you. I have nothing against Malmsteen and Gilbert, but it's so damn annoying when people keep comparing them, or even going as far as saying these young shredders are copying them.
so fucking awsome
yeah, those 80s kicks sure do it, dont they lol
@OnlyModeratelyMad Cause nowadays there are no more NEW shredders, they are just guitar players who play like... There's no guitar innovation.
In that case, Takayoshi is a mix between Yngwie and Impelliterri.
I have to say that 3:44 is amazing btw :)
holy SHIT he's a speedy one
That's AZN power. ^^

Pleasant surprise, alright! LOL
中盤まんまimperitelliの17th chickenpicking ぽい
スウィープ部分はすごいわくわくする
He has his own style, sense of free play and a passion for music. You should create your own style anyway and not trying to be another guitarist. This guitarist improvises to. Live version is always better when he plays.
sounds like 17th century picking by impelleteri
Have you retrieved the video of Highworks by Ohmura and Vitalij Kuprij?
well it was actually rhoads, blackmore, and this other guy who were like the innovators of the neo-classical genre.. yngwie just exposed it a lil more...
i think.. i don't really remember
i tried to learn this song..... its inhuman and he does it perfectly!!
The guy with the V Got pawned
@mattwildchild
Look up Hellman on youtube. He uses a few good gt-guitar books. One of his biggest video's is taken from a book. As is a few others. I can't remember the name of them right now. They come with backtracks and such.
But starting on the books Hellman has shown will get you playing like Syu, Takayoshi, ect..
Anyone know the ESP that Takayoshi is using? Seems similar to the vintage Esp's Except without the whole vintage part.
That guy on the bass looks like hes going for the some look-alike asian lemmy kilmister haha
camera work sucks but he is awesome
@OnlyModeratelyMad You are also forgetting that when you do get to this level of playing.. There are no licks you just can't do. Just how much time you spend practicing it.
Ohmura is my favorite Japanese guitarist, 2nd is Syu.
A Japanese --Malmsteen-- not taking anything away from him as a guitarist, but no "SOUL" with his technique.
I prefer Akira Takasaki, just as fast and a lot more "soul" in his playing.
Cheers to good rock n roll
lol wow is that Kentaro? cooool
He Makes it look so fucking easy.
sounds like yngwie
i love the part from 2:38
Ain't that the truth.
2:12
Seems a young Japanese wine-less Malmsteen.
Com'on this guy wears even the same rings as Yngwie...
