@@holyspiritfire8268 you just said that the evidence in this video proves to you that you still can't make sense of what you saw lol. Also Randi is trying to point out that all of this is a game of statistics and that raw data has to be obtained under controlled conditions. you can't make assumptions on a tv show to satisfy the entertainers. it's important that he doesn't make any "promises" or statements saying what would qualify as passing because they haven't made a test for her yet. if you've seen the tv show he's hosted, they also use statisticians to find what percent of the questions or "problems" the psychic has to get correct and most of them hover around 75-90% depending on the difficulty. else the psychic has a chance of correctly guessing. I don’t think the caller were planted in this case. If callers were on it, they would have come up with something way more convincing, like exact guesses of exact names for example, instead of these vagues “something about the chest” nonsense
As is typical of so-called "psychics", this woman just engages in generalities that apply to millions of people (e.g., the deceased person was thin or heavy, had cancer or chest/breathing problems before he or she died, was thinking about or was in the process of buying a new house or moving to a different residence). And her statement that she doesn't know initially who she is talking to when she does a reading in which she claims she is communicating psychically with a deceased person, gives her an obvious excuse, as Randi correctly pointed out, if she gets facts about the person (that the caller requests her to tell the caller about) wrong to say that she simply was "communicating" with someone else! These b.s., so-called "psychics" are just total frauds who really do not possess the special/extra mental powers they absurdly and laughably claim! That was real wasn't it"? And Randi told him, no it was just a magician's trick. The congressman or senator said, "No, I know when people are trying to fool me, that trick you did was real - you really do have special powers or abilities don't you"? And once again Randi told him that Randi did not have special powers or abilities that other humans don't possess, that it was just a magic trick. Once again the senator or congressman said to him, " No no, I know when people are trying 'to pull the wool over my eyes' - that trick wasn't a trick at all - that was real wasn't it"? No matter how hard Randi tried to convince him that it was nothing more than a magician's trick, the guy wouldn't believe him! Can you imagine what the people of the state that that guy represents or represented would think of him if they realized that he is or was that idiotically stupid as to believe that Randi had special physical or mental powers that no one else possesses? They would undoubtedly think, "Why and how in the world did we elect this idiot"?!!!!
James Randi has dedicated his life exposing these fakes from around the world and the importance of his work cannot be underestimated. No one has ever been able to collect on his (originally $10,000) million dollar reward which has been around for decades. Wouldn't you figure that their would be one that would take the challenge and win? Shayneby Shaynebi, there's a lot more than guess work in mentalism, the guess work is only about 1 of the 30 or so techniques. Good mentalists deserve their credit for diligent learning. That bullshit ‘reading’ for the first caller was also given, practically word for word, in another documentary on these fraudsters. ‘He had difficulty breathing before he died’. Hilarious.
"his death was very sudden and very quick. He was sick for a long time, the family knew he was sick, he knew he was sick, but his actual death came somewhat sudden" That basically covers 90% of scenarios. If they said he died suddenly, with no signs, she would probably say something like "ok. he knew he was sick and he did tell a family member. I don't know if that family member was you" etc, etc
I have seen Rosemary in person, years ago, in one of her shows, she is so generic with her readings she is bond to get it right for someone in the audience. she repeats same scenarios over and over again, they are all the same. She mentioned the house thing when I saw her also, among the public there is always someone that had a situation similar. She never says any names, she is always insecure on who it is that she says she is hearing or seeing, stating she is not quite sure, that is her safety valve, so if she gets it wrong, it's no big deal. she was describing a young boy that died in a car crash, he died suddenly, I thought she was describing my son, but then I realized that I wasn't the only mother that had lost a son in a car crash. that is so common. Since I did nothing to get her attention she went to the ones that did, mothers that were holding up their hands, or emotional, mothers or parents that in some way did something to catch her attention. If she really sees and hears these loved ones, why are they never precise? either they speak with her or they don't. why do they never tell her their names and point to the relative and tell her, look my name is Pinocchio and that is my mom, the one with the red dress sitting there, and her name is Cinderella? never happens! she is too generic.
why did larry have to ask if it was a mother or father on the last caller??? he just made th 50 percent chance a 100 percent by asking the question..and funny its while randi couldnt hear the call

Let's look at the reading at 31:50 - she got the hat wrong, the leg wrong, then she tried to say she just saw a hat and mentioned that her dad wore a beret. The readee went back to her grandfather. Everyone knows someone who was in a war, especially if that person is of an age that a relative fought in WW2. James' test is simple for the psychic. She'd have to make a reading, and the people they read would have to select their reading.

When Rosemary responded to the caller from Iowa, I noticed that she seemed to be looking in several directions other than the one in which she claims that a teenage girl had appeared to her. If I saw an apparition I would stare at it closely rather than look in another direction which Rosemary seems to have done.
Love how she keeps misrepresenting the test - "you'll surprise us with..." James keeps saying they would agree on the test parameters, would not surprise her with anything, would not make up new hoops to jump through as they went.
Rosemary at 9:07: "I'm either a liar, a cheat and a charlatan. OR I'm crazy... or that I am the real thing." Ah. So if she can eliminate two of the three possibilities, then the third *must* be true. Right? However, she neglected to mention a fourth possibility: that she has no special powers at all but *believes* that her cold readings are, in fact, genuine (although deep down she knows they aren't). Therefore, she's not a true medium but believes that she is and is, then, not a liar, a cheat or crazy... but still has no special powers. She makes/allows herself to believe that she has special powers so, technically, she's not lying... to us. Maybe to herself.
Nah, I think she’s just skilled at cold reading. I think it’s obvious this is just a technique and she’s consciously doing it. It’s absolutely obvious to me. Take the first caller: by her voice you could tell she was probably a slim built white woman. Best guess is that her father was slim too. So she throws the slim man. Re height, she just said can’t tell if tall or not but quite tall but maybe not (which would have applied to all cases), and then she throws the “chest related illness “ which covers like 90% of the most common death causes (hearth attack would do, lungs will do, pretty much any cardiovascular or respiratory desease could be thrown in which are by far the most common death causes, etc). The two roses was the “KO” punch that, if worked like it did, wow... if not she would have said “he really planted too, one for you as well” or smtg to that effect. She would have missed only if the guy died in a car crash or smtg but those are like 2% of deaths. Note she didn’t specify, said “chest related”... so this ghost is able to tell her “chest related” but not “hearth attack”? This ghost can say “2 roses” but not his bloody name? The name would be actual great evidence that she was legit. So simple, just the name! How can people believe in her?
It's funny to hear these people say that they wont take the test because they don't need the money. Take the test and give the money to charity. Why does ANYONE believe these people can talk to the dead.
I am seeing someone standing just to my right. Appears to be a rather average build man. I can't say for sure who this person is. I don't quite know what the meaning of the message I am hearing. I'm getting the letter B. He keeps repeating the letter B. It could be initials of his name. Wait I can heat what he is saying more clearly. There seems to be others that are wanting to come through so it is hard to focus on this man standing just in front of me. But I distinctly hear him saying the letter B followed by another letter. Perhaps it is the initials of someone that has passed. He is shaking his head no as if telling me that it is not someone's initials. Now he is practically yelling the letter B and, oh I have it now, followed by the letter S. He is now yelling BS!
C Smith - I observe that psychics are protecting people from their own frailities ; weaknesses . Regarding the caller from Tulsa, Oklahoma: The only communication she received from the supposed deceased person or actual person appearing before her was about a leg injury. Again, the apparition did not bother to furnish any information as to his true identity for some unknown reason. Besides, everyone during some point in their lives will suffer some kind of leg injury. What's more, the caller simply related the leg injury to his great grandfather who died of a leg injury during the American civil war. What soldier didn't? The previous caller simply filled in the blanks by relating something associated with a house. For one thing, most people live in houses, and most people move and experience some problem with moving house. The caller simply looked for possibilities that would confirm what Rosemary had said.
"I'm talking with somebody, a male figure who was very, very sick before he died. I see some other people who were in the hospital before they died. I see somebody who had pain in their chest."
Just give me one medium who can predict when a crises such as a bombing or hurricane is about to come through so millions of lives can be saved by the aid of these people.
It would be wonderful (we assume) if someone were privy to this kind of information....but everything does happen for a reason, most often reasons we don't know about, even tragic things. No one can explain the why's of the spirit world, but perhaps there is a reason we do not know beforehand about worldly crisis.
I guess the next time we hear about a child being abused either physically or sexually, we just need to all sit back and say,” It happened for a reason.” Gotcha!!!

She does maintain a good poker face, though, lol. 16:55-Internal dialogue (she's building up her story), 17:06 -Auditory Construct (she's creating a narrative for the story), 17:13 -more internal dialogue, 17:14-more auditory construct, 17:18 -massive auditory constructs -this is particularly telling because she is relating visual imagery and her eyes are not engaging in the eye movements associated with the experiencing of visual imagery. She is engaging in purely auditory constructs. That is, she is concocting a story -she's telling a story about seeing an image -she is not seeing or visualizing any images. What a crock! She has had training in drama.... A very good actress... Shameless too, lol.....

She can't even get a person's *name*, much less any salient and specific information without probing with dozens of guesses until something lands enough to run with. The extent of her magic psychic ability is "Someone you knew at some point in your life knew someone who died of a condition that had to do with their chest." Well get me the nobel peace prize, that's a statement so specific it just absolutely *proves* psychic powers. Look, it sucks that people die, but we have to get over it. The irony of cold reading is that the more intelligent, eloquent and educated you are, the better you can do it, for example, when Randi and Derren Brown do it. In contrast the professionals are usually of average intelligence at best. What does that say about the victims? It says that they are not only vulnerable in an emotional sense. Education is the enemy of ALL forms of exploitation, that's why it ain't free anymore.
Funny the way the 'spirits' are always on hand for these readers. what happens if the spirits are having a dump in the spirit toilet or on a road trip to spirit disneyland or just watching spirit sky tv and are too busy. this is just laughable bull but the sad part is they are praying on people when they are at their most vulnerable . its disgusting.
The woman on the phone did give it away that there were multiple rose bushes! When she was saying the story she said "ROSEBUSHES", then the psychic interrupted and said it wasn't just one special rosebush it was 2 ROSEBUSHES. Which if you think about it makes perfect sense, she already knew the man was older, very thin, had a pacemaker, so probably was not in great physical shape, therefore hearing ROSEBUSHES, she knew it was multiple and it would make sense given the other facts it was only 2, not 4-5-6 rosebushes planted as that would be a tremendous amount of work for a man in that shape to do in a single planting session. lol SHES A FRAUD!
In fairness to the charlatan the caller actually said "he had just planted a rosebush from my mother...." then the medium said "you mention one rosebush, there are actually 2". Do you need a hearing-aid?
...it’s funny how the ‘supernatural’ has such limitations, isn’t it? Vampires can be defeated by garlic, werewolves by silver bullets, and ghosts by specifics.

James? Jim? John?" 2 minutes later... "He's telling me about the injury he had to his left knee, and how he was in a lot of pain before he died, but when it came he was ready." ......Well which is it? Are they muttering random letters/sounds to you obliquely or are they in full, articulated conversation, in which case there's no reason instead of talking about vague ailments and pre-death pain they wouldn't just say 'I'm John Smith from North Carolina, my daughter Carrie is there in the second row, she fell off her scooter in Pinkledown Road, January 1972 and has four children named Flopsy, Mopsy, Pudding and Poding.

Love that she described her grandma as crazy and her eyes cannot relax
"my mind is perfectly open but I don't have a hole in my head" the perfect retort.
James Randi has dedicated his life exposing these fakes from around the world and the importance of his work cannot be underestimated. No one has ever been able to collect on his (originally $10,000) million dollar reward which has been around for decades. Wouldn't you figure that their would be one that would take the challenge and win? If someone were truly psychic don't you think they'd go to the nearest casino or pick the winning #'s in the lottery and clean-up?

Shayneby Shaynebi, there's a lot more than guess work in mentalism, the guess work is only about 1 of the 30 or so techniques. Good mentalists deserve their credit for diligent learning. In England they nearly always say they see an outside toilet for the 1950s and 60s. A lot of the houses had them. Then they say they see a lady scrubbing clothes on a washing board. Most did that because it was before washing machines. The gullible then say it must be their mum or nan. Doh.
The one million dollar challenge says it all. The fact that no ones won it can’t be argued with.
And it's super extremely easy to do if you have actual powers.

Plus note she says “something about chest”, not hearth. With chest she covers hearth, lung, respiratory, etc i.e. the most common death causes.
Her thing..just giggle at everything Randy says.like he's being a silly. *has believer Larry all intrigued...lol

I’m so glad to know that my loved ones are lingering about so they can talk to me about roof tiles. 😂
The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked :who can know it ? Jeremiah 17 :9

LOL..i like how Rosemary was the one who posted this video, along with her career destruction.

Thank you for sharing!
Love how she keeps misrepresenting the test - "you'll surprise us with..." James keeps saying they would agree on the test parameters, would not surprise her with anything, would not make up new hoops to jump through as they went.
If she can truly speak to the dead then she should get 100 percent correct how ever many questions are asked
Right, but nobody can "Speak to the dead" so..
"I'm either a liar, a cheat or a charlatan" You're all three of these Honey !
She said "and"
@@tarantulacake3561 Then, all two.

She is engaging in purely auditory constructs. That is, she is concocting a story -she's telling a story about seeing an image -she is not seeing or visualizing any images. What a crock! Why won't she put him to the test and dispel his doubts, by telling him something undisclosed about him?
Rosemary believes that each person's business is their own...If she didn't know undisclosed information about him on her own, she would never ask (and even if she did she probably wouldn't get an answer) the spirit world for "secrets" about someone else.

She can't even get a person's *name*, much less any salient and specific information without probing with dozens of guesses until something lands enough to run with.

2 minutes later...
"He's telling me about the injury he had to his left knee, and how he was in a lot of pain before he died, but when it came he was ready."

I have a grandfather who went to war and had a uniform. He often wore fishing hats. He was very tall and slender even when he was older.I think this can apply to many people especially since the woman who called seemed to be an older woman and likely had a male relative who went to war. Simple.
