Jenny you have created a monster in me... I have made 60 of these in the past 2 days. They are like potato chips...you can't make just one. I cut all my pieces to make them. I didn't have any jelly rolls. I am using fabric that was my sisters, she passed away 2 yrs ago. I plan to keep it for myself & it will be my memory quilt of her.

His school colors are dark green and white, so I bought two mixed dark green jelly rolls and some dark green print for the back. I hope mine comes out as beautiful as Jenny's. The tutorial is very easy to understand. I hope to continue making other quilts with Jenny's other ideas! Thanks for being such a friendly, informative teacher. We love you.

I just love this easy quilt... I'm making in 30's fabric for my aunt who was born in the 30s... It's just a little different because I put the long strips on the wrong side, but it goes up and down like Jenny's so I am happy with it... I did use the 5" charm pack because I had them... I'll have to wait to do the outer border and the backing util I go home next month and be able to get some 30s fabric to go as the outer border and backing... Love your tutorials Jenny, I have watched 'almost' all of them and have my list of quilts to do...

Love the quilt Jenny. Just whizzed up the blocks yesterday (I used yardage I'd had for my granddaughter for ages). Can I make the comment that instead of cutting the background fabric into 5" squares, I cut the 5" strips. I cut 16" off my strip sets then added the white stripes (which I had cut in half). This gave me a three strip set that I then cut into 5" sets. Was a lot faster and less work.

Okay, it's high time I made my version of the "Two Step Quilt"! I have the same jellyroll, but instead of a white background, I plan on using a dark charcoal background (it should make these colors POP! The only thing I have to be careful about is making sure that the darkest color in this jellyroll isn't butted up against a charcoal background square (I'll be certain that I flip that particular strip around). Can't wait to get started; I had to finish and clear out the quilts on my design wall. Thanks Jenny and Crew. You guys ROCK❣Lindsay, Sacramento.

This is a fun, quick pattern that always turns out good. It can be switched up by using a patterned charm pack for the center squares and either solid or batik strips for the sides. Another gorgeous idea is to use a dark center with some very bright fabrics for the strips. A dark grey is gorgeous for this. Any way that you do it as long as there is good contrast it turns out gorgeous.

I used the layout from the Block magazine rather than this one as it worked better with my fabric choices. One thing I have learned from watching Jenny is NOT to pin. I used to pin everything but still the seams were off. Now I pin almost nothing and my seams are perfectly aligned. I didn’t see how the nesting would work but it really does!

I had been designing a quilt for my daughter's 10th wedding anniversary, combining squares (which I'm going to transfer photos to) and a rail fence type with different Hawaiian fabrics -- and then you did a tutorial on what was in my head and couldn't get onto paper. Thank you -- but don't tell my daughter and son-in-law about the quilt-- it's a surprise ;)

I was looking for a light, summery quilt to make using a jelly roll I already have. This looks perfect ... but, once again, at about 70" x 83" it's not as large as I hoped. I love the tutorials and making lots of Jenny's quilts, but I've often found them not quite large enough for a bed. I'm new to sewing, after being away from it 35 years, and like when I can follow a pattern completely and not have to wonder about adding more blocks and borders. I made one quilt for my queen bed at 96" x 110" & it could be a tiny bit smaller but it's about right.
