It’s been unfortunately discontinued though. Get one if you ever get the chance. I love mine and will never sell it
These are a good Amp a friend of mine as one and it rocks. Every time i go round there I have to go on it. You can get Dime's sound easy on it and getting just some brutal sound's out of it is crazy Ola made a Great Amp with Randell.
Makes sense that you can get Dime’s tone, since Ola is a massive fan of his.

Great demo Ray! I have the Satan 50, I run it into a Recto 112 with a KFK 10 band and Horizon Flux Echo in the loop and a Precision Drive in front and it does the modern metal thing as good as anything I’ve ever played before!

Sounds amazing my first amp I bought was a randall combo.
Randal is underrated for sure. Sounds so good.
If you dont stick a parametric eq in the amps loop. Jump the loop with a small patch cable use the fx return dial as a extra gain stage. Channel volume is related to the fxloop S/R. sweep lean towards 10am for a recto cab. The highs are dangerous, I dont go above 5.5 or it's too much. Lows I set around 7, mids I move around 4-6. depth&presence you dont need much of both passed half way.
I agree the clean channel is really nice.
You can make the satan sound like a Mesa/bogner. If you add the right tube preamp infront of the amps clean. I prefer it this way.

Hoping ola makes a preamp pedal out of the satan. Like the kraken preamp. The next best cheap and accessible option on mooer, most of the modelers they make have the satan on it. Seeing as ola and mooer are bros, I feel like the next step should be mooer amd ola making a satan preamp.

It’s definitely a unique sounding amp and it’s cool to see one of these appear again. I own the 50W version and love it dearly - the gain channel is super versatile from fuzzy to super tight modern.
The Kill switch basically adds another gain stage and is intended to „cream up“ leads. I don’t like any boost in front of it and frankly you don’t need it. Dialling down the girth tightens up the low end the same way as a boost would.
Is it „the best“? Nah. It’s all a matter of taste in the end.
Nice, dude! It took me years to find my Satan. I run a KMA Pylon in front, and I run it (ABY) with a Randall Titan with a parametric EQ in the loop (for a super mid scoop). As far as "best metal amp", I'd say the EVH Stealth (100 watt) would win over the Satan, but with the Satan / Titan setup, I've found "my sound".

Man, it's awesome to see people like you & Ola still carrying the torch for rock&roll/metal !! I hope R&R will come back strong as it was when I was young. My son plays in a metal/hard rock band here in our neck of the woods. Not much $$$ to be made, but they do it out of love for the music. I used to play out when I was a young man, & I still play at home. 50 years of string bangin!! Rock on bro !!
Randall makes some epic amps, once I grabbed my 1503 combo, I hit a brick wall on wanting to get anymore amps, it does it all for me, good cleans, and channel 2 and 3 have great characteristics, 2 great for rhythms and channel 3 just cuts through for those mad leads. Sadly they are going up in price these days running anywhere from $1000 to $1600 dollars, if you can find one for a good price, I 100% recommend most Randall amps out there, just don't get one if you want something quiet because these amps are scary loud, your house will shake. This head sounds epic from your demo.

I got to try it at the Randall booth at NAMM when it launched, with Jocke Skog and Ola Englund fucking around and tweaking amps while people tried them. I got to try it with Washburn Solar 7 and the amazing "Vinter" Solar 6. This amp KILLS.
I like some of the demos dry without the backing track. You know a little mixture of both.

What pick ups are those
Had one of these but it would make a horrible high pitched feedback/oscillation if you turned it up even with no guitar plugged in. Had it looked at under warranty and replaced all tubes and tech who talked to randall said they told him that’s just normal. I got good tones from the amp but must have gotten a lemon unfortunately. Ended up selling but maybe should have held on to it as they seem to now be going for double what I sold mine for

It’s Ola’s signature amp so it was made to his liking, but as far as who engineered the amp it was a collaboration between Randall and Mike Fortin.

I wouldnt say the best metal amp of all time.... but everyone has an opinion
... as a few of us plays a bit guitar and what-not around, as well ... nope, it does not sounds better than Thrasher. Impressive name that is, but nope, after a few our tests with the both - it does not sounds better than Thrasher, (and especially not in the studio setup) while the Thrasher and that edition both is 3 times overpriced, soon as it leaves the United States market teritory, (sold online or not, neverthless) either by the goods, pricetag or design :).

I had the Randall Satan 120w…definitely not the best metal amp of all time. I didn’t like it much at all compared to my other amps.
