For me, The best way to defeat la dama negra was by going back of the ship, and use chain shots to slow it down and then ram it continuously.
I try that but it's mortars still hit me when I was doing that

I didn't have any issues defeating the legendary ship. Always hoped they'd release more in a dlc but atleast we have skull and bones now
We waiting skull and bones for years... And it started okey and i think they destroy it in the process.. February coming right?
El impoluto is the strongest ship among the four but the secret for its quick defeat is to dodge its raging ram from a distance then if it getting close shoot with heavy shot and scattered any fire Barrels since it likes charging.
At least before facing any of these ships you should fully upgrade all your stuff to elite by following: swivel gun, mortar, fire Barrels, hull armor and heavy shot That's it You are now capable to defeat any one of 'em just avoid their deadly mortars and hit them in the back with heavy shot or chain shot keep distance for a short while then shoot mortars, repeat until you achieve victorious.
Note: their mortars are extremely fatal always keep close to them (especially behind them) to avoid hit by mortars or their deadly side cannons.
Why didn't you brace while the ship was ramming you?

I defeated the Royal Sovereign and the HMS Fearless on my 4th try 😩 I was starting to get annoyed at them 😂
They were also the hardest for me, especially when one sinks and the other goes ballistic to avenge his brother
Mortar are completely useless, was so disappointed
Mortars one shot most ships except man o war and the legendary ships

@@DoRatorMinoit is possible ive done that to all the legendary ships, tho the la dama negra one is hard since it has an invisible platform on the ship but still managed to do it

Do you have some program to fire those Y shots? you fire them too fast and perfectly to be real, so i believe youre cheating
I don't, I simply aim and shoot.
Hey,. AC player here. You can just hold the Y button when firing swivels (in PC, it's the Shift button by default). It automatically fires your swivels into the enemy ship's vulnerable spots.
He’s not cheating literally all you do is hold down Y and it fires consecutive shots…
