    Great video!
    I just had ppf installed on the front end of my car, and I expected the corners to be done exactly as you did them in your video. Unfortunately, the installer had a different method from yours, and the wrap was cut just short of the corner in such a fashion that the last millimeters on the corner ware not protected. I fear the edge will 'grab' dirt and it will be noticeable untill i really get in ther and clean it.
    The installer claimed that tucking the ppf under the corner would result in pealing corners in the short term. I got 10 year warranty, so I did not argued to much, but I was still left with the fealling that it could be done as you demostrated in your video.
    In my opinion, your method seams to delivers a better job that what I got.
    Your video was very thorough and instructional. Keep up the great work!

    Thanks for the video! If possible, would you be able to release an PPF instructional Vid on the small several inches of paint/front bumper of the Bronco, along with the fenders if possible! Really appreciate it, keep up the good work!

    Will more PPF videos of the Bronco be coming soon?

      The next time we have a Bronco in, we will do a video with it. Is there anything you would like to see?

      A video on bulk wrapping the hood. Also considering the wider tires on the Bronco that fling rocks up the side, a full PPF wrap of the front/rear fenders and doors would be great!

    Can you show a closer shot of the corner when you cut the film like you were doing when you trimmed off the excess ? It’s hard to see how the trimmed corner should look when you cut it with the knife and also your forearm was in the way as you were cutting it…

    What are the top 3 difficult car colors to apply PPF?

      In my personal opinion, black is the worst because even the smallest spec of dust can look much bigger than it actually is. But then again, if you nail an install on black with no contamination, lift lines etc, it looks amazing!

      Black, dark blue 😉

      Black, White and Yellow, white and yellow because they show lint fibres that float around in the air and contaminate your install during installation

    Whenever I try to wrap a corner with tack solution it never sticks at all, it refuses to wrap even in the slightest amount...

    • @DriveProtected
      @DriveProtected  Před 2 lety +1

      Are you using tension to hook the film around the corner like mentioned in the video? Without any tension, it will never stick.

      @@DriveProtected I was not... I hadn’t realized that was a requirement. I’ll try stretching the film around next time. Thank you!

      @@AustinH7 Are you using pre-mixed tack, or ISO/water mix? Ironically, I've found the ISO/water mix often works better for a tack solution in favor of the dedicated mix.

      @@cornercarverfan I’m using iso and water. Do you know What ratio should I be using?

    • @cornercarverfan
      @cornercarverfan Před 2 lety

      @@AustinH7 I use 91% ISO with a 3:1 using filtered water. Eric's video mentions the same, with the exception of his preference of sing 100% ISO. czcams.com/video/QlLH-t_6uig/video.html
