CSX Mainline Railfanning In Central Florida

I set out to railfan the CSX mainlines in Lakeland, Plant City and Tampa, Florida hoping to catch as much action as possible in daylight hours. It did not disappoint at all! Plenty of unique power, long trains and views only possible with the use of a drone. I start off in Lakeland at CSX Lakeland Junction. Right out the gate, I run into CSX local O710 meeting A782 with ST70AH #8900, basically a new Tier-4 SD70Ace leading and a parked CSX mainline freight. Moving south, we catch a local just completing its work in Plant City as it heads back to Tampa where I headed next to check the action at Yeoman Yard. There I catch a yard job, a mainline local, light engine move and then Q442 departing for Waycross Georgia with a rare lashup and slug set. Racing back north to Plant City, I run into P091 with heritage Unit #822 trailing, another light engine move, Q442 and finally P092. Action filled day you dont want to miss!

Awesome video. I’m a big csx fan. I have never been to plant city but I have been to the Tampa and Rockport csx facilities. Great places. You do great flying the drone man. I liked and Subbed. Also thanks for checking out my channel. It means a lot. !😃👍 David
