I’m starting to journal for the first time as well. I did one about 20 years ago but not very much. I don’t know if I want to bullet journal or just keep a planner. I’m not clear on the difference. I like the freedom to just create my own. I found on Amazon journal stencils. Also ordered from Michaels creative 6 hole punch and binder. I’m going to try and cut specialty paper with my trimmer, to fit in my binder. I’m not sure how this will turn out but I have a lot of goals to track. It’ll be fun!....I hope.😂❤️ Also trying to get ideas on Pinterest as well as utube. Thanks! I love your videos!
Hello! There are so many to choose from. I've been in mines for about 2-3 years. LOVING it! For this year I've put 5 of them together. So there are few different layouts. Different sizes too (classic/BIG/and Mini). There is a teacher planner (I think some new ones may be coming out in March (end or so). I got me few of them (for use/Not a teacher) for my kids (so everything school kids related goes in there. So much you are going to LOVE it! Many accessories too. Have fun in your Happy Planner planning.
If you don't have a Joannes near you... my walmart just had the planner basics, fitness, budget, seasonal, and Mama ones in a mix of classic and mini sizes for $3.50 clearance.
I just got a deal from Walmart a couple of days ago. They have boxed sets with a full sticker book, paper, sticker rolls and a pouch to hold it all for $5! But not all Walmart stores sell it. You have to search for the ones that have them in stock.

I kept a classic HP for all of 2017 and am now using 3 Minis for this year. Two of them have become a transformer. Love HP so much 💗. Their stickers are so awesome. I purchased mine on sale too but the deal wasn’t as good as yours.
I too bought a Happy Planner for the first time a week or so ago, but I only use to it to record a Bible verse, or a funny thing I heard. Recount and record things I did that day like the synopsis of a book I read, movie I watched. I have an Inkwell planner as my main planner as the paper is unbelievable quality. Then, for my business, I have one to separate client information and social media entries. A Large desk planner for Household things so everyone can refer to it. I actually do like the Happy Planner stickers a great deal and have 3 books, so far. Ultimately, what people seem to be doing is decorating, , not planning. Sorry guys. Time is of far more value than money and my time can't be spent putting a washi, sticker, post-it, charm on every inch of my planner. It seems to be some desperate attempt to fill the void. ;-)
The books you got that have the circle in the middle of the cover and say are sized to fit the Mini Happy planner. I use these also in my classic sized planner. A lot of new products are about to come out in the March release along with many new planners for the 18 month planners that start in July.
I started planning using a Target dollar spot binder, insert and Dollar Tree washi and DT stickers. I follow Marie over Crafty Girl who makes her own planner spreads and uses things like cards, enevelopes, the stickers etc to REALLY decorate her planners. You should check her out!! DT slso has come out with planner stickers and planner packs. I love all the sticker packs you hauled btw...
My sister and I just got our Happy Planners a few days ago. I didn't even know about them until your video. We're both excited to create our planners. Yesterday we went to Micheal's and the stickers were about 10 bucks on sale, but we'll have to check out Joann's! Love your videos.

I will check out my Joann's but it is a small one and didn't have all that much last time I was there. I would love to see which planner you, your sister and your Mom choose. I got one on sale that was 18 mo so 6 months was already old, but I didn't want to spend too much as I figure out if I'm going to really do this. BUT...I'm hooked and love it.

All of the sticker books that say mini in the middle of the cover are designed to fit the boxes of the mini happy planner but once you get used to your style you will probably use all the sizes.
I wish family would work of planners with my this is also my first year with the happy planner but i also it easier and more fun and motivational if I have some one to do stuff with like working out exercising but i cant find any one to plan with me
There are three sizes...Mini, Classic and Big. There is also a Happy Memory Keeping Planner (by Happy Planner), which I have seen in the Scrapbooking section at Michaels. It is the Big size. Love my Happy Planner!
Oh I like the smaller size a lot. But my Joann's is totally out of all happy planners and nearly all the stickers! 😞 Have you watched "The Magnolia housewife?" ( On CZcams ) She does a HP Wednesday I love her planner. Not everything is for very body but she does a beautiful job.
FYI, some of those stickers you bought are labeled to fit the Mini size planner, like the one your mom liked. But you can make them work for the classic size you own, but it doesn't always work the other way around. Just a tip. I really like the Happy Planner and want to get started but I’m very careful about what I bring into my home, I want to make sure I’m not bringing clutter or what may become extra clutter into my home. My concern with the Happy Planner is that I don’t see where I can purchase the yearly dates insets only. It seems like every year you have to buy a whole. We Planner which means I will start to accumulate the binding discs and covers year after year. Could someone confirm this and speak to how to quit my mind on the potential waste if my theory is true? Thanks!
The Working Mom Juggle I believe (I’m not 100% sure I am new at the happy planner ) but I’m pretty sure you can buy inserts or what they call “extended year pack” which comes with 6 months and they are not dated so you can use them whenever and write in the dates. They are inexpensive so you can buy two packs and have a whole year ☺️
Well, 98% if the Happy Planner is the "insert" - calendar pages, with the first page of the Month at a Glance tabbed to index the months. So everything gets used up except the laminated front and back covers and the binder rings. Many people like to archive the old planner for reference and memories. If you're planning to throw out everything but the covers and discs, you can reuse them by cutting paper to fit and punching it, creating your own notebook. Or you could ...throw it all away.
I've read a lot of the post and I smile, because I am caught up in the happy planner cult, as well. It may be obsessive as one of the posts says, but it is also a lot of fun. I've met so many Instagram planner friends. For the newbies, all you have to do is search youtube and/or instagram for 'happy planner' and you will be kept busy watching videos for days. Love your videos . Honestly tho , why do you need this many stickers ? Even if they are clearance , it's just so much excess . Just my opinion . Do people need stickers to get something done in a day . Just my observation . Working on a budget would be easier without buying 1000's of stickers .

Please understand - this is only my opinion. Am not intending it to be a criticism, because we all are entitled to do our own thing. That being said, this "Happy Planner" thing seems to me to be just another gimmick that someone (or group of someones) thought up as a way to rake in the bucks. It seems to me that using a standard planner (if one is so inclined to use one) is more cost effective, especially time wise, that using something that is, by design, going to use up those precious minutes saved by sorting thru, choosing and then having to add the stickers to you planner pages, not to mention the space on those pages being cluttered up with the stickers. I would find all the doo-das and gee-gaws stuck on my planner pages to be distracting when checking what I have on the pages, not to mention the distraction from task at hand of organizing my planner entries to serve the purpose of keeping me organized and on track and on task as the case may be. I have always be able to get by using a simple spiral notebook, an old school composition book, or even a calendar with lined or unlined blocks where I can write in the important tasks or events that I have to keep track of. I'm old school and one of my objectives is to not only save time, but to also save money - the cost of shopping for a fancy planner and gimmicky stickers and decorating the planner would not fit my budget either time wise or money wise, both in acquisition and use.
cimogm there are all different types of planning. You just have to find what works for your lifestyle. Personally, I used to be a scrapbooker but have no time to do that now. The beautiful stickers and pretty planners fill that need I have to be creative. It brings me such joy to see my pages decorated with cheerful quotes and pretty images. Is it a money maker? Absolutely. But it’s what I choose to spend my money on! Just another perspective. It sounds like what you’re doing works for you! 😊

I just spend an hour today posting medical & dental appts, home improvement & repair appts, and some other personal stuff related appts from today to the end of the year, along with notes regarding bills typically received each month (as reminders to be on the lookout for the bills because there is a regular problem with the post office not delivering the mail correctly), deliveries to be made and when, notes on when I am supposed to be receiving follow up calls, etc. As I said I was able to get all of this posted in my $1.00 planner from the Dollar Store. Had I used a planner like Happy Planner and spent time putting in stickers, who knows how much time that would have taken.....time that I spent planning my meals for today and tomorrow, doing 3 loads of laundry (including folding and putting away), etc etc etc. That's all I was doing was making a point that messing with stickers uses up the time saved by using a planner.
cimogm but I’m sure you watched tv, read a book, knitted, etc . There was sometime in your week for what makes you happy and this is what makes us, who plan, happy. I don’t spend all that much time each week setting up my planner, maybe an hour, but it’s relaxing and run to me 😊
Before I retired, I used a Steven Covey planner for years, then migrated to electronic calendar and planner system. I enjoy using the Happy Planner now. It's not about efficiency, it's about stopping to smell the roses. It's about looking at planning not as chore to be accomplished as quickly as possible, but as an opportunity to reflect on our lives, our goals, and things that bring us satisfaction or joy. It's about using a sticker with an inspirational quote to lift our spirits. It's about using cheerful colors to set a more cheerful mood about doing the ordinary chores in our lives. It's about pasting in a checklist so we can track our progress and remind ourselves that even though there is always more to do than can ever be done, we made progress today. It's about positive reinforcement. Subtly, it's about planning to be happy in our everyday lives, by taking the time to do these small, enjoyable things that brighten our days.

Please understand - this is only my opinion. Am not intending it to be a criticism, because we all are entitled to do our own thing. That being said, this "Happy Planner" thing seems to me to be just another gimmick that someone (or group of someones) thought up as a way to rake in the bucks. It seems to me that using a standard planner (if one is so inclined to use one) is more cost effective, especially time wise, that using something that is, by design, going to use up those precious minutes saved by sorting thru, choosing and then having to add the stickers to you planner pages, not to mention the space on those pages being cluttered up with the stickers. I would find all the doo-das and gee-gaws stuck on my planner pages to be distracting when checking what I have on the pages, not to mention the distraction from task at hand of organizing my planner entries to serve the purpose of keeping me organized and on track and on task as the case may be. I have always be able to get by using a simple spiral notebook, an old school composition book, or even a calendar with lined or unlined blocks where I can write in the important tasks or events that I have to keep track of. I'm old school and one of my objectives is to not only save time, but to also save money - the cost of shopping for a fancy planner and gimmicky stickers and decorating the planner would not fit my budget either time wise or money wise, both in acquisition and use.
cimogm there are all different types of planning. You just have to find what works for your lifestyle. Personally, I used to be a scrapbooker but have no time to do that now. The beautiful stickers and pretty planners fill that need I have to be creative. It brings me such joy to see my pages decorated with cheerful quotes and pretty images. Is it a money maker? Absolutely. But it’s what I choose to spend my money on! Just another perspective. It sounds like what you’re doing works for you! 😊
It’s a hobby , people do it because it brings them joy, it may not be for you but to those who enjoy it it’s not a waste of time or money
@@michellewalters4807 No kidding. I stand by my comments though. I just spend an hour today posting medical & dental appts, home improvement & repair appts, and some other personal stuff related appts from today to the end of the year, along with notes regarding bills typically received each month (as reminders to be on the lookout for the bills because there is a regular problem with the post office not delivering the mail correctly), deliveries to be made and when, notes on when I am supposed to be receiving follow up calls, etc. As I said I was able to get all of this posted in my $1.00 planner from the Dollar Store. Had I used a planner like Happy Planner and spent time putting in stickers, who knows how much time that would have taken.....time that I spent planning my meals for today and tomorrow, doing 3 loads of laundry (including folding and putting away), etc etc etc. That's all I was doing was making a point that messing with stickers uses up the time saved by using a planner.
cimogm but I’m sure you watched tv, read a book, knitted, etc . There was sometime in your week for what makes you happy and this is what makes us, who plan, happy. I don’t spend all that much time each week setting up my planner, maybe an hour, but it’s relaxing and run to me 😊
Before I retired, I used a Steven Covey planner for years, then migrated to electronic calendar and planner system. I enjoy using the Happy Planner now. It's not about efficiency, it's about stopping to smell the roses. It's about looking at planning not as chore to be accomplished as quickly as possible, but as an opportunity to reflect on our lives, our goals, and things that bring us satisfaction or joy. It's about using a sticker with an inspirational quote to lift our spirits. It's about using cheerful colors to set a more cheerful mood about doing the ordinary chores in our lives. It's about pasting in a checklist so we can track our progress and remind ourselves that even though there is always more to do than can ever be done, we made progress today. It's about positive reinforcement. Subtly, it's about planning to be happy in our everyday lives, by taking the time to do these small, enjoyable things that brighten our days.
