"On June 7, 2016, VanderWaal auditioned for the eleventh season of NBC's talent competition show America's Got Talent, singing her original song about identity, "I Don't Know My Name". She was selected by one of the show's judges, Howie Mandel, as his "golden buzzer" act to skip the next round and perform in the live quarterfinal round. Simon Cowell called VanderWaal "the next Taylor Swift."
VanderWaal again performed "I Don't Know My Name" at the September 14 finale episode, then introduced a performance by Stevie Nicks, who compared her own style with VanderWaal's. At the end of the broadcast, VanderWaal was announced as the season 11 winner. She was the second female winner and the second child act winner in the show's history."

Bernadette Teaches Music just let it all out! And just think you’re talking normally. My vocal teacher told me that not opening your mouth widely is my worst habit, but I learnt to fight it and eventually got it. Just do it! I know you can!

I got a crappy $13 denver ukulele last year. Have been practicing but with other videos and they don't teach like you do. There too fast and not precise for newbies.

Idk if this will help but to get started I would play the notes once and switch it made it slower and sounded quite sweet but it helps and then from there you can add more strumming

I just got my ukulele and I already learned how to play riptide so far I’m doing pretty good with strumming but switching notes and singing at the same time 👎not going so well

Try this:
1. Play only the chords but think about the words/lyrics in your head
2. Play the chords and hum the song at the same time
3. Play the chords and sing a few words/lyrics
4. Slowly add more words/lyrics to this
Riptide is a great song to start out with. I have been doing uke for about 4 years now and I still have it memorized. I haven't played for a while so rn I am learning the more advanced strum patterns... my sister likes to watch old AGT vids and I saw Grace Vanderwaal and was like, "Wait.. I know this song..." Immediately fell in love with her music. Not many popular musicians play uke anymore... I am glad we are still teaching it lol

Audrey Box Vlogs! Just practice really slowly at first and then gradually speed it up. It takes time and patience. I struggled with it at first, but by practicing, I can now do it without even thinking about it. It just comes natural to me. So keep practicing and don't give up!! You'll get it eventually! :)

I’m having trouble switching to G
Madeleine Todd try some hand exercises like put your hand on the previous chord and shake your hand then put it back on the same chord. Do this a couple of times with the previous chord and do it again with the G chord. Now put your fingers on the previous chord and switch to a g as quick as possible. Then shake your hand. And try switching it over and over. I hope this helps!!!

Honestly, that's the trickiest part of the song. It is not easy. I recommend you focus on one part of the song before you tackle the next part. So focus only on the beginning today. Tomorrow come back and tackle the next part.

When your singing it sounds like your tying to be quiet and your teeth are always close if that makes sense when your singing try and open your mouth a little more and be louder no offence
