Apparently you can't use the circle to search feature with gestures enabled without the gesture highlight bar, and maybe the removal of the swipe up for all navigation is related but I genuinely cannot see a reason why they'd remove it at all.

    I really like your style presenting what matters.
    For OneUI6.1, Removing the "old" bottom gestures (left, right, middle) is very sad news, as I'm using them for ages. I've set up OneHandOperstion+ gestures short+long (so in total 6 gestures - of course hidden) for the sides instead. As the even older 3 buttons (menu/home/back) still exist, that was completely unnecessarily and user unfriendly
    Also to choose battery max 80% as new top level for protection may be Apple like, but why now giving us an option? To watch low level is at least as important for battery life but 20% - 80% is only 60% of the capacity which may not be enough to get through the day. Battery life span using max 85% is not much worse than max 80%, with both being a big improvement over 100%
    And why removing super slow Mo?
    We will see what arrives on S23 series, but removing features is something I really don't like.

    Do the AI things they did in S24U coming to the S23 series? Or at least to S23U?
    I feel not bcs maybe it depon the new processor or they will make it limited for the new phones so they can sell well....

    • @SamMobileTV
      @SamMobileTV  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Samsung have built in measures to protect against that type of burn-in. This is also the next gen display and Samsung have allowed options to be selected to have it auto turn on and off as needed in certain environments.

    I don't understand what is happening with Samsung, first they modified the quick settings to make it difficult to use with one hand, and now they remove the option of gestures imitating the 3 buttons as well as hiding the navigation handle. Honestly, OneUI 6 has several positive points but these two in particular are making me wonder whether to update to 6.1 or continue with 6.0. They even removed Blur from the home screen, it looks like it was a hasty update, poorly finished, you were already better Samsung 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

    They removed the possibility to hide nav bar is surely because the draw to search new Ai feature relies on the indicator long press

      If that were the case, they could have kept the old navigation features as options and just showed a pop-up explaining the AI features can't be accessed with legacy navigation gestures enabled. That's what they did when they introduced refresh rate options. If you wanted to be able to get the max resolution of the display, you had to lower the refresh rate to 60Hz because if you switched to 120Hz, resolution would cap out at 1080p. So they gave you the option to use one feature while letting you know that would mean not being able to use another.

  • @Cez-ario
    @Cez-ario Před 3 měsíci

    I don't mind if they lock the Dual Rec on 1080p on the s23 ultra, if I can use the front and back camera at at least 1080p30 it makes no sense to not allow me to use 2 rear cameras at the same 1080p30

      Nope, it requires the S24 displays, which use less power than the displays on previous devices. Also likely gonna remain exclusive to flagships in the future because of their variable screen refresh rates.
