      I had chosen the higher ladder by unlocking the window where I was at in the time in return bottlenecking them so they could only enter only one at a time.

    The Founding Fathers of the United States were visionary individuals who played a pivotal role in shaping the country's foundations. While they possessed a strong belief in the potential of the United States, it is challenging to ascertain whether they specifically foresaw the nation's future as a "juggernaut" in terms of its global power and influence.
    The Founding Fathers, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and others, were driven by ideals of liberty, self-governance, and individual rights. They sought to establish a new nation founded on democratic principles and the pursuit of happiness. Their primary focus was on creating a system of government that would secure the freedom and prosperity of its citizens.
    While the Founding Fathers possessed great ambition and hoped for a successful and prosperous nation, the concept of the United States becoming a global juggernaut in terms of military, economic, and political power may have been difficult to fully envision or predict at that time. The world was very different during the late 18th century, and the Founders were primarily concerned with establishing a stable and functioning republic.
    However, it is worth noting that the Constitution they crafted, with its emphasis on individual rights, limited government, and a separation of powers, provided a strong framework that allowed the United States to grow and evolve. Over the centuries, the United States did indeed experience significant growth, both in terms of territorial expansion and industrial development, which ultimately led to its emergence as a global power.
    While it is impossible to determine with certainty the extent of the Founding Fathers' foresight regarding the future of the United States as a juggernaut, their foundational principles and the enduring nature of the Constitution have undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping the nation's trajectory.

      I'm sorry but this is a genuine question as for non-US citizen even after checking the definition "constitutional republic" it seems exactly the same system like in most EU countries (with exception of constitutional monarchies). There is a basic main law aka constitution and elected legislative body. It looks like we use slightly different terms though as representative democracy is description of both US and e.g. German system. Democracy being the opposite of dictatorship allows people to decide (directly or by elected representatives) the future of the country. If it's only lost in translation pls let me know but "democratic tyranny" is an oxymoron 🤷‍♂️

    • @jrowlet
      @jrowlet Před rokem +2

      @@pavelmacek282 So our original constitutional republic was a hybrid mix that balanced democratic institutions against anti-democratic institutions to prevent the excesses that result when there is too much democracy or too little democracy. Originally, the House was democratically elected (still is), Senate was appointed by state legislatures (amended in Construction to elect by people, and that amendment turned the Senate into the disaster that it is today), President is indirectly selected by the Electoral College (still is), federal judges are appointed by President and confirmed by Senate (still are), and the state and local governments have always been laboratories of democracy that have different ways in which the officials of different branches of state and local government are chosen. The governments of all other nations (including in Europe) have very different ways of selecting their officials in their branches of government. No nation shares our very idiosyncratic blend of governance.
