  • In this video we find the surface area of a pyramid. To do this we start by using Pythagoras to find the slant height.

    Hi thank you for the video. What doesn't make sense to me is why you can bisect the square to get the base of the triangle to be 3? One side measures to be 8, and the other is 6, so you can't make a perfect square from the imaginary lines or can you?

    one question why don't you finish the square root when you try to find the slant height?
    i am confused only about that everything else understandable.

      So that you can calculate this easily otherwise it would go into decimals and become very complicated

    Could you just find the area of the triangle and multiply it by 3? While, finding the area of the square.
