Never have I ever seen any of this. Thx for sharing this 2nd most magnificent natural largest USA canyon with us. One more thing to add to the bucket list. That last drone flight reminds me of a few movies where smoke signals would telegraph around the cliffs announcing ones travels along the canyon floor. I really understand now just how that would feel and look. No place to hide for long.
Again, thx for sacrificing yourself in the blast furnace to capture these images for us. Your the Man!

We went through Amarillo twice 3 years ago in our camper van to visit our oldest kid and his wife in North Carolina. My 18 year old daughter saw the sign for the National Quarter Horse museum and remarked ; " How cute ! They made a museum for all those ride on horses they used to have in front of stores . I wonder if they included the other rides as well ? " . When I explained to her what a Quarter Horse was we had a good laugh and no she's not blonde .

You're in part of our stomping gounds when we go fm CA back home to TX. Have logged many miles on I40 & 27 between Amarillo & Lubbock. We love Palo Duro altho never camp there since we stay with family. If you ever come again, the wildflower season is the best. It's so beautiful. Wonderful tour and spectacular drone shots! I showed this to my husband who used to regularly picnic at Palo Duro Canyon as a child with his family. He shared with me how back then the creeks used to flow over the roads and had to be driven through to cross. He remembers his dad driving through water deep enough to flow into their car after one particular downpour, which understandably made quite an impression on him! He was interested to see in your video all the site improvements and lovely visitor center. Maybe if we make it down to that part of Texas we will go there, but if not, at least I finally got to see the park I have heard so much about. Thank you so much!

It is beautiful, the Canyon just seems to come up from nowhere. It is a beautiful place to take pictures and see all kinds of sites. Also caprock canyon was awesome mainly because they had so many buffalo there that was the highlight for me in Amarillo. The museum is huge and has so much in it , it’s a shame you missed it.

Back in the 60s, there was a chair lift just past the horse stable. There may be a few remnants of it visible. Also, motorcycles were allowed offroad until the early 70s. My brother and I attempted to ride to the lighthouse double up on a 80cc Yamaha street bike! We didn't make it. Thankfully, you can't ride dirt bikes there anymore.
