This is really cool, it perfectly captures the tension I felt when reading Crichton's novels. I want to see the Jurassic franchise come back to its roots: pure unapologetic horror/survival. I look forward to your next works!

The shot where the Sauropod's leg moves is absolutely spot-on! It is a masterful shot that brilliantly reflects Crichton's description of Grant's first encounter with the Apatosaurus on the island in the novel.
Furthermore, the concept of a playful Allosaurus is both fresh and horrifying. In fact, it's the freshest idea we've seen since TLW.
Keep up, we want to see more! I wish some day you will be able to turn this small picture into a live action short movie.

I thought it was adorable how the Allosaurus rolled over and played dead too. He really just wanted to play, he probably wasn't even hungry which is why he didn't eat the guys leg.

OMG, Allosaurus is a cat! It played with him like a cat with a mouse, and it even knocked him over the edge!
Allosaurus was like "oh we napping now? Cool" and laid down to sleep. Then got grumpy when the human decided to change its mind. He should have given it a blanket and snuggled up instead. Then he would still be alive
Amazing cinematography, we straight up are drawn to the main character when he’s rehearsing his dancing, feeling good for having made it, the animals are on point too, clearly we see that like bears, large cats- allosaurus fragilis wouldn’t be above bonding with people, but are still so dangerous with the wrong behaviour.

Dark & actual horror where the dinos manage to freak out the unfortunate ones & get them in the end!
Kinda like the opening scene in JWFK - that trex chase in the rain was one of the good & “proper” scenes in that movie - a surprise attack with the trex emerging from so close behind him, then a brutal & all out chase with no saving the guy in the end.

This is the sort of adult-oriented horror style I wish the JP/JW franchise would focus more on - giving us real tension! Great job making these short films!
Maybe, if Universal Studios hear enough people wish for it, we'll get stuff like this in an adult animated series, more short films like Battle At Big Rock, an official live-action CZcams shortseries or the biggest wish of them all: a live-action tv-series!

These are some of the best short movies Ive seen, you've made Jurassic Park what Crichton intended it to be. The movies are cool but Crightons books showed how scary those things are.

i didn't pay attention to the name of the island in the opening and thought i was watching levine and diego's arrival to isla sorna and kept wondering for half a minute where the other guy is. great job.

@@ashes.lollol Algunos animales modernos como zarigüeyas o serpientes tienden a fingir su muerte para no ser atacados por animales más grandes, por ello pensé que al tirarse al piso estaría tratando de evadir un carnívoro más grande en la cercanía, pero la razón real solo la sabrá el autor del vídeo.

@@BSC8987 he was "Grizzly Man" the animal loving idiot who trespassed on a US National Park in Alaska for years camping with wild animals. He would film himself interacting and approaching wild Grizzly Bears very nonchalantly despite multiple warnings from Law Enforcement. Surprise, he and his girlfriend both died from a bear attack.

I like how these shorts take inspiration from the good parts of the Jurassic World films as well as the park trilogy.
Great short. Although I am questioning the main characters rationale in camping on an island inhabited by dinosaurs lol
Really liked this one, well I've liked them all actually. But this one stands out because you really captured Ed Regis and the adolescent rex with this one. Wonderful use of the allosaurus by the way because honestly I really like this particular species of dinosaur. A shame that it was never featured in the novels.

Just discovered this channel a little while ago. No idea why you've never been recommended to me before now. I'm a Jurassic Park fanatic, and regularly watch videos on CZcams. Analog horror isn't really my jam so most of those videos don't scratch my dinosaur itch, but your Blender videos are absolutely incredible! Where were you in my life growing up! God bless you, and thank you for your incredible work.

What I understood is that the Allosaurus smelled the guy and noticed he smelled strange (alchool? the dude was drunk) and due to a survivour instinct (don't eat spoiled flesh!) the Allo first pretended to be "dead" to check how its prey would react. If the prey gets up and runs, the predator knows the prey is alive and good to be eaten.
...OK thanks for the "perhaps" explanation that explains the sequence of events depicted in this "sort of" horror film.

I think if the Guy stayed quiet and still in his tent he would have been ignored and left alone. The allosaurus has no idea of what a tent is, or that they can hold meat in them. So if you came off, no indication of being a good meal, it would have gone just by perhaps a little confused at the multicolored thing, giving off the meat smell.
I love it! Funny and still has tension. Keep it up!

Y’know, this “Allosaurus” behaves a lot like the Carnotaurus from the Lost World novel by Michael Crichton. They had skin that could mimic their surroundings, and that was way before the i-Rex. Nice reference!

I love you creativity and freedom in story making. even though I miss the facial expressions, still I feel the thrill in all your videos. The random dance was funny, but I am really curious as to the story. How did he end up there and why do the humans never have weapons?

One small thing though.
Usually when large animals, especially predators, move through an area, lots of the smaller creatures including insects will stop making noise in an effort to hide themselves.
With the first Allosaurus stalking nearby, you could have cut all the insect sounds and left a few seconds of very tense silence before the carnivore moved away and the sounds started up again.
It could have been done a second time as the Allosaurus was stalking around the campsite.
Just some suggestions.
