  • Not a review or a critique, just my first ride, we have had a unusually rainy winter here in Southern California, the trails were just barely dry enough to ride. I have been looking for a bike that would fit in between my 170 mm travel Fezzari La Sal Peak enduro bike and my Specialized, epic Evo, the epic Evo just didn’t have the type of geometry that I felt comfortable on going down the local trails here, but it was a great climber, it was great for longer rides that didn’t have any steep dissents in them, and it was very light at 26 pounds, my Fezzari, La Salle peak climbs very well and it descends awesomely but it does weigh 36 pounds,! I like a long slacked out bike, so I got the extra large Izzo core 3, the geometry settles right in between my specialized Evo Epic and my Fezzari, La Sal Peak, and at 30.20 pounds it’s right in between in weight as well. First ride impression so far is that it’s a very capable bike, and I am going to enjoy riding it, I will do a more thorough review after I get some more rides on it, and on a little sidenote I will say I think the Izzo is a gorgeous bike. I love the lines on it.

Can’t believe you got it muddy on its first ride! 😂

I know! I thought it would be all soaked in by the time I was riding, well it was, but it was those areas that had the large puddles, I came up on them and was thinking NOOOOOOOOOOO, not on the first ride! but as soon as I got to work I washed it, looks like new again 🙂

Around the ladders is the thing now?

I havent ridden those ladders for a while now, too much dirt has washed away from around them and it was a drop going off the end of it and into the turn.
