    I just brought this grill and wanted to convert it to quick connect to our Aliner pop up, so of course I go on CZcams to see how it's done. I gotta say YOUR video was SUPER helpful!
    Thank you!

    Thanks for the info and link to the brass fitting to allow the removal of the regulator and adapting to the larger quick-connect. Works great!

    Really helpful, prepping for a trip to New England in 2 weeks, thank you for adding the links for the 'no regulator' fittings, will arrive tomorrow!

    The o-ring means it's a compression fitting and doesn't need the plumber's tape. If anything, the tape is what will cause sealing issues. Clue in, boyo.

    Well done. I've had my Q 120 four years now and it's still working as well as day one. Do the maintenance and cleaning on a regular basis and yours will go the distance.

      Check out "The Fire Escape Griller" on youtube. He does all his grilling on a Q 1200.....................

    Great info! The QD could also be rigged to feed an external reg for bottles. Could you re-purpose the bracket to support the hose? I worry a trip over the hose could snap that little aluminum valve. Cheers.

      Mine is close enough to the RV that nobody walks over the hose. No trip hazard. Rather not carry an external tank when we can go direct on. I now use a 3 way that feeds my Weber, black stone and fire pit

    If anyone is looking to remove the regulator from the grill, to connect to their RV propane connection, here’s the adapter I used:

    Would you like to test propane quick connect fittings ?

    Just curious when you compared with and without the regulator were you connected to the trailer for both? I am interested in knowing if there is a difference when using the regulator with the 1lb throw away bottles vs no regulator connected to the trailer?

      @sfe  Před 6 lety +2

      Big Stein I only tried it hooked up to the RV. Because the RV already has a regulator. If you use a portable propane bottle you would need a regulator.

    The link to the brass fitting with regulator does not look like the one in the video. I’m thinking i have ordered the wrong one.

      It will still work the same. It just doesn't have the little extension the one I used does.

    I was watching this over and over. Not all the reference parts on Amazon are the same parts that you shoe on the video.

      You’re welcome. This is meant for removing the regulator on your grill, and adding a quick connect that attaches to your RV

    Hi Nice video. I have a Grill like that just got a camper with gas line at rear. Can I leave my regulator on or do I have to take it off when using quick connect hose to trailer.

    • @sfe
      @sfe  Před 4 lety +1

      It won’t get as hot and the flame will be restricted. Your RV already has a regulator so your doubling up by leaving it on the grille.

  • @byronhowe6753

      Do doubt. It’s so dirty now. I’m going to pressure wash it.
