India is not overpopulated. South Korea and Bangladesh are. You have to look at the population density. South Korea has a higher population density than India. Bangladesh has a population density that is 2.5x more than India. "Overpopulation" only occurs if the land area cannot support the population.

Don't worry too much. Some people would benefit from it. Some people may not. Competition is gonna increases, prepare and adapt to it.
Two child policy badly needed in India. Low income are having more children than middle and upper income groups, and sadly their children are not receiving the required education or skill set. That will be disastrous for our country's economy, and bad for all income classes.

After 50 years, most of the people will have to keep bodyguard like we keep a mobile now. Personal Security will be the most valued.

Overpopulation is certainly going to affect the environment. The big cities are just exploding and air pollution is a major issue for metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata.

As per GOI, 80 cr people are poor in India and not able to earn for food also. Assuming we are 140 cr currently, India's population should be approx 60 cr so that all can live a decent life.
Also, I feel that population growth is explosive in the poor category because they have more than 2 child per couple where as elite and educated have less than 2. My sample size could be wrong, but this is what I feel.

Yes very true. There should be a one kid policy in india
Dear Akshat
This video is really really exceptional. The way you explain the subject is very knowledgable, it clear most of the doubts.
😊
Plan 1 kid only it is very difficult to raise two kids nowadays.
The average delivery expenses in hyderabad (at some decent hospital )is 1 lac .
First birthday expenses will be minimum 2 lacs to 8 lacs .(depends on family prestige ).
School fees every body knows.
Two kids means must and should they have car .
Salary never depends on no of kids or married or unmarried and income is not guaranteed.
Expenses on kids are guaranteed the moment women is pregnant and even after death.
Job security in private sector is zero.
Have 1 child only, save money for retirement, live happily .
Here in village 1 St delivery cost is either 0 or max 2000, 1 St birthday cost is may be max 1k,why in hyd it is more
School fee is 0 in govt. School ,,till ,6 th i read in govt. School, till 12 th in pvt. School fee was 10k-15k,, I am a Hindi medium student still cracked Jee without coaching and Got NIT Warangal CSe ,I was not aware about cs and tech bcos never saw computer in my life till 12 th,got fucked up in college, graduated in end of 2019,,now in a Gov. Thanks for the video sir.
Very informative video .
Paisa sab kuch nahi, outside India, life could get very depressing very fast, telling from 8 years of experience, rather think to apply knowledge and make opportunities in India. Make your country great.
Nice video but it would have been nice if you would have talked about state wise differences in population growth.
Western, southern and far north states have TFR below 2.0 which is below replacement rate.
On the other hand, poor BIMARU states like UP, Bihar, Jharkhand have high TFR and its these states that will drive up the population.
This may lead to heavy migration from these states to other parts of india and we may see ethnic conflicts/tensions in the future.
TFR of West Bengal is 1.6 in the year 2020
Great video. Couple of points -
1. On macro scale, India would benefit by having mandatory ITI / diploma training for all youths instead of some 10th or degree requirement for jobs.
2. There is a huge group of IT engineers in 8-15 experience group that could use some new direction. Could you please suggest videos targeting that crowd?
Thanks for watching

I'm amazed how so many people in the subcontinent consider this overpopulation to be an asset. Most would change their mind once they experience the far superior quality of life for average income people in many other countries.
Really dumb argument they have alr developed so no need for adding extra populations and whatever they need they import top talents from India and china like USA .. jus see china their popn has started declining this is catastrophic for the country few years later they’ll have more older pop else which is a liability to any co7nty and less working class people … and most states in India are having their fertility rate close to 2.1 and some even below 2.1 only Bihar rural is having I think 2.7 or 3
And fyi Tokyo had 3.7 crore popn so you need an efficient government and not cry overpopulation

Really awesome video, well researched and easy to understand. I recently moved to Germany and my reasons to relocate were also similar and there are various challenges associated, but overall it was a good decision.
Germany, France and UK are in Decline...any asset you buy there will lose its value over time as Standard of Living/ Per Capita income is rapidly falling in Germay
@@Enigma0071 Assets we can buy in India, who is stopping us to do that. We just have to be smart with investments. Wealth distribution in European countries is fairly equal as compared to Asian countries and govt ensures that.
@@imshikhararora yes, government ensures wealth distribution by taking away 47% of income in taxes. And as the government is in massive debt so the social security is also not sustainable in few years
@@Enigma0071 Highest tax slab is 46% and the tax structure is progressive like any other country. And return on tax is better as education and healthcare is completely free, non-discriminatory, best in the world. Public Transportation is one of the best in the world connecting multiple countries. Infrastructure is much much better. And govt ensures wealth distribution by laws in this area like minimum wages, worker rights, unemployment benefits, worker seat on company's board. And talking about debt, countries debt is always calculated in terms of Debt-to-GDP ratio, and India has much higher than Germany. Every countries has some pros and cons. So, you need to think which set of pros and cons you are okay with if you have multiple options.
There are challenges and some things that Germany is lacking like low level of digitisation and high bureaucracy, and of course different culture and language. But you are completely missing the point, its not one way ticket. Any time you can book the ticket back to India. Its like having multiple homes and access to multiple financial systems.
@@imshikhararora I am also an Australian citizen but I only invest in India even though Real estate is crazy in Australia. Population density should be considered based on the land area available. Indian population is 7 times more than the land area available for habitation.
We need to keep building vertically instead of horizontally
@@gokulkrishna4011 :/ that's not the point. How much will you accomodate. In the end you have to eradicate the root cause which is overpopulation.
@@humanwhobreathes2385 How do u propose to do it
@@gokulkrishna4011 by implementing a one /two kid policy and making awareness about overpopulation in schools a compulsory topic to know about. And basically preaching the idea about how only kids are not lonely kids. Mostly people don't talk about this until they're older and when they're older it's all influenced by others' ideologies and other pressure from relatives which is why it's important to educate children and keep them informed about this from the beginning so that they can be in their right mind when and if they get married in the future and want to have a family, keeping the environment in mind.
Also, the ratios , percentages, and the distribution in population.. and the quality of population matters..
With time ,india's population quality is going to go down.. facts..

I believe a country is over populated if it cannot grow food to feed its population. No food imports. land and resources use produces enough food to feed the population and also absorb environmental shocks. This is how ecosystems work in nature the optimum is achieved over various ecological shocks and resource usage.
The population needs more than just food

Banks these days easily provide loan as they can seize the whole asset due to non-payment = more profit in long run.
in 1987 a Swedish and a Norwegian paster told me this when there was not much awareness or technology, "every where I go there are people and people, your problem is overpopulation, in my country I can walk easily on the roadside platform, I can drive a car easily on the road, I can afford quality food and a good lifestyle, India's problem is overpopulation" this is what they told me, I wrote speeches regarding this for this foreign missionary and translated it in local language, but politicians and government authorities banned them from creating awareness and the people here as well didnt want to listen, they only want to listen to what then want like free money, free things, money for votes, dirty politics etc today India says its population is 140 crores but I think it will be 200 plus crores because there are lots of people who dont have an identity card to be counted..........
It varies statewise.. Punjab is experiencing low fertiity rate and migration. U.P is still having highest birth rate.
