Exactly what I needed, thank you!
As Paula already posted, great video as usual. Very informative and we will definitely hire you as a guide next time to ride around London! Although I may need the ebike LOL
Thank you for this well presented video
Thanks so much for watching 👍😀
Thank you sooooo much , spent all day yesterday trying to get the app working 😢😢😂
I found the app a pain to use to book the bike, but good for the bike locations! Thanks for watching 👍😀
This is such a good I formational video. I have always been afraid of renting the bikes. We need a tour guide to help us know how to navigate around without getting run over. Lol
Thanks Paula, maybe you, Al & I will do a ride next time :) A pub to pub one? :)
Sounds like a plan.
Thank you for this vital information. So important for tourists to the UK from out of country. I appreciate the details!! They look safe and easy to use. Love the app as well. Not a bad price at all - you should see the insane prices for bike rentals in the US in tourist areas. LOL I would try my best to bike in the special bike lanes so I dont have to worry about the issue of forgetting to be on the correct side of the streets. Especially in London and in the intersections there. This is great when going long distances across London so I can save my energy in walking. Much appreciated!! Blessings
Great stuff to know in case you need to get somewhere quick 👍😀🚴🚴🚴
Great
Matt wanted to rent bikes when we were there but I said no way 😂With you guys driving on the left side of the road, I would have totally crashed into something or someone. I watched the people on the scooters weaving in and out of traffic and it was terrifying to me but they seem to know what they're doing. I miss London so very much. We will come back when we can. We're now taking care of my elderly mother and can't get away. I'll just watch your videos and live vicariously through you. Oh and p.s. I told my daughter you and J are seeing Harry at Wembley and she gave me the, omg I wish it was me look on her face. Harry was impossible to see in Toronto with the exorbitant ticket prices, She's seen him twice so at least she has those memories for now 😀😀
Hope all is okay with your Mum and yes some of those that donthat weaving make me wonder how they do it and have no broken 🦴🦴🦴! Oh no shames prices were mad there, we got some great seats and good prices as well and two weeks too go 🎶🎵🎉🎊
Great video, thank you so much! I've always wondered what was necessary to get to hire one of these :) They look heavy, how do they ride? Are the tyres solid, if not, what happens if you remove a bike from a stand and discover shortly after that it is faulty in some way (flat tire etc)? Do you just push it back in to its stand and use the same code to take another bike out? I'll check to see if you have created any videos for the other bikes I've seen in London (the green ones). Once again, thank you very much for a perfect video presentation! (PS - are there any electric bikes in London you can hire?).
Yes, you're right they are heavy but that makes them more stable. If there is a fault with the bike the previous person that hired it can press a button after docking that there is an issue and then no one else can use it until it has been checked by the service team, who you see a lot around the different stations. You'll always get a new code although this may change on 1 March as they are introducing a new £3 fee for the day but in no more than separate 30 min rides. There are also electric bike you can hire from some of these stations and I know that a company called Lime do the green ones - haven't been on those yet but will add to the list as another video to cover, thank you :)
Thanks for the clear explanation! One question. If i take a bike for under 30 minutes, dock it and then take another bike a few hours later, will i get charged extra?
Yes, you are charged for every 30 minute block or part of that you use it - hope that helps :)
Ah yes the Boris bikes 😁 But no just no Lime must be removed from the city. I feel Santander are the closest to regulatory if such a thing was introduced.
Lime is a big no it's getting bad press and with good reason.
So what happens if you don't bring the bike back on time?
You are charged for the next time block until you do :)
is the bike also for a kid 12 years old?
No, these for age 14+ 👍😀
How interesting 🤔. I wish they had been around 😕 when I lived in London, I would have used them. Do you need to wear a helmet ⛑🪖 ?
It's not a mandatory thing to wear a 🪖🪖🪖, but good for safety. I always forget to take mine!
I thought these bikes were free if you had it for under 30 minutes ?
Unfortunately not, currently £1.65 per 30 mins
I use the bike to go to work anyway 180 pounds I had to pay becose someone nipped the bike you are not covered by insurance at the call center they say if someone attacked you whit the 🗡️🔪🔪🔪🔪 becose you give you life for a bike maybe you are free of charge and the bikes are in poor maintenancebis like you play at lottery you never know what you get 😂😂
