Finaly, everyone must agree this lore video is masterpiece.
I've been waiting for this lol
This and The Blessing of Despair
All the ending lore videos are masterful. Duskborn is the best one for me
And everyone must agree Vaatividya is a god.
the dung eater lore he made is also awsome
Quick lore dump:
Shabiri was a worshipper of flame of frenzy, and he wanted to bring it upon the lands between. But he knew the only way to do so was through great suffering and despair, so he slandered the nomadic tribes, accusing them of worshipping the flame of frenzy.
The golden order then buried the tribe alive beneath the capital, so they could prevent the summoning of frenzied flame and the 3 fingers. But it was exactly the suffering and despair of the nomads, that brought the flame to the lands between.
In other words, the golden order fell for Shabriri's lie, and in their effort to prevent the flame from appearing, they did the very thing needed for frenzied flame's creation.
And the violin piece that played in the video, is as Vaati explained, an altered version of a piece that is played in the game. When you enter the tomb of the nomadic merchants, there are a few of them, still there, playing that music, even though their minds are already gone. They're husks, that would only attack the player if provoked.
The merchants seem to have an appeal towards their strings and music, perhaps they continued to play, so that their own music is the last thing they could hear before their deaths, helping them pass on in peace...which unfortunately doesn't seem to have worked, evident by the fact that it is there that you find the three-fingers and the frenzied flame!
I find the story of the frenzied flame to be one of the darkest, if not THE darkest story fromsoft's ever done in one of their games. It's so terrifying that it's haunting, yet also hauntingly beautiful! Honestly, all these "an elden ring movie" videos Vaati's been doing are blessings to the community!
This one made me cry. The voice acting is just heart wrenching.
Yeah the merchant's speech when he learns the fate of his ancestors is honestly so heartwrenching and chilling. I'm not usually one to cry over stories, but godamn that got my eyes welling up.
*I'll never forgive any of you*
Kale's voice actor was insanely convincing
The ring at the end is the whistle ring you use to summon your horse that she gave you when you formed the accord with her.
I'm honestly really curious if the ring melting away actually kills Torrent or only makes it so we can no longer call him to the world of the living and is now stuck in the spirit world lol
@@benadrylcumbersplatch6448 Torrent dies when the ring vanishes, which is why Melina wants to chase you down. You killed her gift, destroyed her purpose and ended the world.
It makes me cry every time i hear Torrents death sound. Fuck...it is so heartbreaking...😢😢😢😢
Vaati knocked it out of the park with this one, especially the part with Kale. Gives that character so much justice after all the cut content surrounding him.
Ngl, this level of detail for some weird reason reminds me of old school Dark Souls lore videos or BarneyBee WoW videos.
Might be because Vati and epicname was the ones that made the "old schoo Dark Souls lore videos". :P
Yup. Across every fromsoft game, Vaati has been our lore god
24:15 Yes, you do. In order to open the door, you must "divest yourself of everything", aka unequipping all your armor and weapons, completely renouncing your attachment to the material world.
You joked about that sword being the "Iron Throne Sword." But it's actually true! George R.R Martin helped with the lore (the extent of which still isn't fully known) and they have a few Easter eggs in the game referencing his work. One of them being that sword!
Another are the names of the DemiGods. The first letters in their names are either a G, an R, or an M. The Divinity itself is a reference to the man lol.
I'm 1000000% sure that Mohg was created by George R.R. Martin.
While it's true that we don't fully know what he contributed, I am aware of an interview where it was explained that R.R Martin essentially created all the lore for Queen Merika (I think that's how you spell it) and her children, plus the shattering. I want to say he said he wrote the events that take place 5,000 years before where we play the game. However I have no technical source for this, because I saw the interview over 6 months ago. So I have no memory of where I saw it.
@@Platinum-db8rc don't worry, I saw it too. Your source isn't a bust lol.
From what i understand he basically set up like the history of everything up to shattering and from there he had no more hand in it
Mohg, miquella and malenia were definitely created by GRRM. Miquella and malenia are inbred twins. I see the game of thrones influence there
This is definitely one of my favourite Fromsoft endings, there's a uniquely melancholic tone to it and is the most nihilistic ending they've ever made.
Cutting Kales Questline from the game is a tragedy. The voice actor put so much heart into the character :/
They can't even make all the DLCs this game could have. Traveling Merchants. Godskin apostles. Melina. Miquella, uhhh Elden Ring is so freaking good, i want a series of novels for it actually.
So the thing with the merchants went somewhat like this: It is implied they have always existed outside the Grace of Gold and somehow that made them susceptible to the Flame of Frenzy, they actually really hate this and take active measures to keep it at bay which is why they keep moving around so it can never take root and spread (There is even a cut questline that states a mysterious deity named Saint Trina used to help them deal with this through dreams). Shabriri on the other hand wanted to manifest the Flame of Frenzy and figured out if he could manage to get a bunch of merchants to stay in one place then eventually their despair would call the Three Fingers into the world, so he went to the authorities and tricked them into rounding up the Great Caravan so they could bury them alive in the Leyndell Catacombs. To this day, you will find what few merchants escaped hiding away in the far corners of the map, either starving and begging you for trade, fearful that you've come to hurt them or straight up traumatized and telling you to stay away unless you want to trade. Kale (The one who looks like Santa Claus) is by far the friendliest of all the merchants, probably because he's the youngest and doesn't even know what happened to the rest of his clan. In his cut questline he actually tries to harness the Frenzied Flame but is not strong enough so he gets burned to a crisp, so that part where he's whispering to let chaos take the world? That's supposed to be his last words as he lies on the ground, dying...
A tribe, cursed to wander, so their curse don't take root...
Interesting
I really like this explanation but is this whole thing with Shabriri confirmed?
@@revengance4149 as most FromSoft lore, no, not confirmed but strongly implied. Like, item descriptions are very clear that Shabriri worshipped the Three Fingers and that he was found guilty of slander which is why they gouged his eyes out, but it is never stated he slandered the merchants specifically. So you have a dude who wants chaos to take the world, and who was tried and punished for slander, and coincidentally you also have a seemingly harmless clan of merchants who were buried alive for seemingly no good reason and ended up calling forth the Three Fingers through their despair... you see how it all fits together?
@@benadrylcumbersplatch6448 I don't mean that. I totally get that. I meant the part that he slandered to mechants in order to gather them in one place which caused the three fingers to basically spawn. that was something I didn't know about nor how the merchants view the chaos flame in their eyes. Imma be honest I get most of my knowledge from Vaati and some other content creators like AGT Jake and I never heard that
@@revengance4149 right, the part about getting the merchants to stay in one place is speculation on my part, because iirc in the cut Saint Trina questline Kale mentions that the reason they are nomadic is so their curse won't catch up with them, which is why Saint trina helped them in their dreams, probably just giving them that "well rested" stat bonus so they could continue their travels lol
Ah yes, the ending that taught so many people that maybe listening to the person you want woo is worth while... although most people still just blame Melina.
I don’t blame her at all. Every choice you make is up to you while you get her to the capital. She gives you 2 warnings before you talk to the Three Fingers. I feel for her and Torrent really
@@kiraa175 oh I don't either, it just seems many do. They act like her wishes don't matter because they're 'trying to save her' without actually giving a shit about her say in the affair.
@@itsCaptainEli exactly how I saw it during my play through she is fine with doing her job as maiden why should I get to choose if she can do her job or not she hates the choice so much she vows to kill you because your to far gone and people think this is the ending surprising enough
how would anyone blame melina in this situation when she is responsible for litterally nothing bad happening in the game ?
@@dovhadark7108 yeah I don’t know how her trying to stop a life wiping maniac makes her bad at all
You can never go wrong with VaatiVidya. Also the drinks look fire
This and Artorias are the two saddest to me. When exploring the sewers and defeating Mohg i found those people and didnt think much of it. Then making the connection with their music... Unlike with Sif though, this video with the cut content is what makes it truly effective.
When you first get to the frenzied flame proscription and hear the merchants play their sad tune in an otherwise silent location with all those corpses is unforgettable.
Also I hate Shabriri they really made him despicable, not only are you lying in my face and guilt tripping me, you use the body of my dead friend yeah no screw you !
First play through, i didnt get to the church, somehow skipped it so never saw him die so i was honestly convinced he did just give it up
@@aestheticleviathan7028 fair I didnt finish his quest either but still, I aint trusting something that takes possession of corpses to give me awfully convenient deals
I’ve never killed an NPC faster.
The voice actor is so fucking chillingly talented though. It’s hard not be hypnotized by his voice.
That said, I did the full quest for my platinum, and I summoned Shabriri for Godfrey.
We bullied the absolute fuck out of the first elden lord. :P he is a MASSIVELY strong summon for that fight. He was taking thousands of damage and still ended the fight above 80% health.
I feel like an airhead , because I'm just there to kill enemies and get loot :D my brain just ignored everything lol
The dialogues in this game are on a whole new level, the voice actors did such an amazing job. MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD! that gives me the chills everytime!
You know when a character is important in a Fromsoftware game because he appears in the cover art for the game. In DS1 was Artorias, In DS3 was the Soul of Cinder, and in Elden Ring it was Vyke, the badass champion that chose to go insane and embrace the frenzied flame before sacrificing his maiden to the fire
Kale's voice actor is incredible, it's honestly criminal that his questline was cut, it adds a whole new level to the crimes the Golden Order committed against the populace, not to mention how much more in depth it makes the whole Frenzied Flame situation. When you go down into the tunnels while playing, sure its creepy, and you get little tidbits about what happened, but then seeing Kale's cut questline, it adds so much needed context and just makes the whole thing even more depressing than it already was.
I hope we get more lore about the Frenzied Flame in the DLC, because there's so much more I'd love to learn about it
would've been interesting if we were able to burn the thorns with frenzied flame, rid ourselves of the flame and have Melina return as a friend later on. or have her appear just as we approach the Erdtree to plea with us one last time
One of Vatti’s greatest videos. This one along with The Chaos Sisters video are among some of his masterpieces
I love how Vaati now focused on more cinematic storytelling while leaving the more heavy lore exposition to other smaller creators. If you want to know more deep lore my suggestion is Hawkshaw. specially his video on a DS1 character called Solaire and how that character represents the series creator himself
MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD 🔥🔥🔥
Suddenly all my friends insisting on feeding me grapes hits different.
My favorite ending and what I would call, Vaati's best video so far.
This is one of my favourite prepare to cry videos. His most recent one about D, Fia, and the age of the Duskborn is also really really good.
This video is really something else. Vaati started as a great lore master but now with many collaborators he really elevated his lore stories into full cinematographic and narrative masterpieces. Of course it's also possible because Elden Ring is an incredible game but not everyone is capable of creating this type of video.
Frenzied Flame is my second favorite ending in Elden ring. Also if you guys ever want to check out more Monster Hunter content the CZcamsr Oceaniz has great videos that discuss the ecology of MHW and MHRise. I’d recommend starting with the video about subspecies. The Nature of Monster Hunter - Subspecies | Ecology Documentary.
Favorite part about Eldon ring is that none of the endings are necessarily "happy" they all theme very heavily around the idea of hope. The worst ending "The fire frenzy flame ending" deals with the concept of lacking hope. It is one of the most powerful philosophical thoughts in video games out there right now! On the flip side the best ending (the age of perfect golden order or the age of the stars depending on your opinion of the order by the end of the game) both deal with the idea of receiving hope and despite not necessarily being happy they are definitely bittersweet and given idea of what might not be happiness now may lead to happiness later. Food for thought but I definitely think Eldon Ring is a master class on storytelling through inference. As in your subjective opinion throughout the game completely changes the message you take away from it.
This game is a masterclass on storytelling 100/100 A+
I literally did a Madness Build, using the frenzy flame to my advantage, it was fun~
Non tarnished enemies aren't affected by madness though
@@beachesandhose2374 At least it burns
@@beachesandhose2374 Yeah, but pvp is fun with it....XD does make bosses harder tho lol but yeah has burn damage at least
@@beachesandhose2374 And? The frenzy spells do tons of fire damage, the madness is just a buildup the fire damage does. Did you think they only did madness and no actual damage?
@@beachesandhose2374 it doesnt matter the frenzied flame melts everything away.
I love the idea of the three fingers, it's the exact opposite of the two fingers. Instead of a holier-than-thou pair, it's a sad, beaten, broken; destroyed trio buried alive deep underground. To the point of when you finally greet them, they're so happy to see you that they finally give you a hug before fading away.
Loved vaatis recreation of what would have been kales questline in the game if it hadn't been cut. It's such a heartbreaking story the way it's edited just makes it so much sadder, easily vaatis best work imo.
i been in that tomb, i felt really sad when i saw what was inside, could barely see the floor with how much they were cramped together in a small area...
i feel more sorry for those that still linger around.
Now I can't wait for you to see the "Age of the Duskborn" video, Vaatis newest and maybe best, it follows this style aswell. The "Blessing of Despair" one is ofc also very good.
FINALLY! CLICKED SO FAST🔥🔥🔥 MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love this ending its definitely my favourite MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD
The music in this video was so well done, i know vaati had it made just for this video, but damn…music was just as on point as the visuals!
The thing about 2 and 3 fingers is likely inspired by one of the real schisms that happend between the orthodox in Byzantium and the orthodox in Russia. Originally you're supposed to hold up 2 fingers during ceremonies or something, but the people of the Russian countryside had it mistranslated to holding up 3 fingers which caused them to eventually call eachother heretics. The russians of the taiga who continued the 3 finger tradition even had rituals where they burned themselves like in the game, I'm being vague because I don't quite remember the details. Elden Ring probably took this idea that neither the 2 or 3 fingers are "correct" because they together represent a whole hand, which is how God was commonly depicted. Drawing God was kind of taboo so in many of the paintings he is represented by a single hand in the sky. Wouldn't surprise me if we eventually therefore see the "5 Fingers" in a DLC or sequel.
I see, a fellow Tarnished Archaeologist enjoyer :)
Yura a.k.a. Lampshade Raiden is a really good character who you meet several times throughout the game and has a story of his own, but sadly most of that wasn't included in this video since his story is more tied to the Lord of Blood's plotline than to the frenzy one, so they just introduced him here to give context for when Shabriri steals his body and gives his monologue.
also the reason why Vyke couldn't claim the frenzied flame properly is because he didn't know that you have to take off your armour. we don't have that problem since a text message will appear when we try to enter the pizza door telling us to take off all of our possesions and Hyetta will also tell us that and so would Kale if his questline wasn't cut, and we cannot enter unless were butt naked but I think you can still keep your weapons and talismen on. Vyke didn't have these safety measures
the ring at the end is the horse Torrent's whistle. by the wind blow through it symbolize Torrent crying as the ring ashes away
Glad to see you guys into this.
Absolutely loved this game.
Deymmn... "May chaos take the world!" the delivery of this line, is scary thinking someone can wish this in reality. In short, the voice actor is just really effective.
I have been waiting for this for so long. Love your reaction.
Considering how engrossing the lore for this game is, I think that seeing the cinematics for the bosses are a must see! Super cool and will help put some faces to the names here
Finally, the video I waited for! Loved your takes on this part of the Story and I hope you will keep watching the Elden Ring Movies by Vaati. There's 2 others for now and I think one more to come. Then you'll have seen all of the main storylines. The next one would be "The Blessing of Despair" and then "Age of the Duskborn" which is my second favorite after the Frenzied Flame one ^^
"Tarnished Tonic"... More like "Madness Martini"
This is the best video Vaati has ever done, in my opinion. I'm so glad you saw it.
I was waiting for this one actually. Happy to see it
Been waiting for this one! Y’all are the best! Blessing of Despair soon? It’s almost as good as this one and done in a slightly different production style. His latest video, “The Age of the Duskborn” is done in this cinematic style as well and is fantastic.
The Flame of Frenzy is so powerful that being claimed by the Three Fingers basically locks you into this ending. Without it, you are allowed to choose at the end how your character will alter the laws of the world through different mending Runes that you gather by completing quests related to the major side characters. But if you have the flame within you it will immediately begin the ending where you melt the world, and all that distinguishes and divides.
The only way rid yourself of the Flame of Frenzy is to forge a needle of unalloyed gold, made from materials created to resist the meddling will of outer gods, and pierce yourself with it while standing in the storm outside time, which isn’t exactly easy to find. This will destroy the Frenzied Flame within you, and permanently end the threat of the Three Fingers.
The song gets me every time.. ._. Love Vaati's videos so much.. Kalé is soo relatable for me 🖤
Your doing amazing job for real definitely not definte keep it up
Been waiting for this one:)
YES!!! You did my request, love you guys.
Im glad you guys reacted to this! This Ending was my favorite Ending
each time the hayetta theme plays it gives me goosebumps. Coupled with her narration it's the 2nd favorite element of the video aside from kale
The best part about the Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending, is that nobody gets what they want. The golden order is punished for their crimes, Ranni doesnt get her "perfect" world, the various royal families are all consumed by the Frenzied Flame. Even the Tarnished and your player character are doomed to eternal madness. If you think about it, this isnt the bad ending, its the neutral ending.
There’s even more despair in the dark souls prepare to cry videos
I absolutely loved that Elden Ring story in particular. Instant like ^^
I could fall asleep to vaatividya speaking to me , his voice is so calm and majestic . Let alone all of his videos are top tier
I've been waiting for this one
I remember the first time I was really close the beating the game and found out because of a leak (first playthrough was offline no spoilers as best I could) and I found out that gaining the frenzy flame locked you into the "Bad" ending and I was shook cause I fully explored every nick and cranny of the game and yes I even had the Fia's and Ranni's ending ready to go and I was locked out of them and had to break my no online rule cause I sure didn't want the FF ending I chose Fia's for my first playthrough Ranni's kinda made me mad around the baleful shadow hunt part but yeah watch you guys all the time love your intro and your talks after the video ends keeps up the good work y'all
Yes this is what I have been waiting for
Vaati's got SO much more god tier content, please continue watching them lol
That ring at the end she picks up is Torrent. That whistling is him crying): he is just a baby the adult version of him is the boss see you fight
The Frenzied Flame is a question: Is this world worth fighting for? With all the murder, the curses, the endless deaths and wars. Is there any hope left. If you choose this ending your answer is NO: I have seen enough death and bloodshed! This world is irreversibly broken and we can not save it.....
Burn it all away! The good and bad, all the pain and suffering !
MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!
Or...... you can say: This world is broken, dark and depressing......
But there is still hope! There are still good people around( The jars,Alexander, The Turtle pope , Malina, shepp and dogs) There are still good things in this world, and they are worth, fighting for.
Ok now if you'll excuse me I have to go to bed.....Bye😊
And THIS, is game's evil ending.
Burning the world to ash with the flames of chaos, of frenzy, of revenge.
Destroying everything, and everyone.
Of course, there is a story behind it. A reason, as mad and twisted as it is.
I do think this video is a bit harder to grasp without the game's context compared to the others though.
Shabriri and all other proponents of chaos have been wronged in some way by life. This motivates not evil per se, but deep resentment of life itself. Shabriri himself had his eyes gouged out for slander, an awfully cruel and unreasonable punishment.
Lamp shade Raiden (Yura) is your friend throughout the game. Then he dies at the church. Next time you see him it’s actually side bitch (Shabriri) that took over Yura’s dead body & then tricks you into accepting the Flame of Frenzy.
THE COUPLE WHO ABSOLUTELY FUGGIN TOTALLY 100 PERCENT ROCK HAVE POSTED AGAIN 😊❤❤
I want to point out something important about the way Vaati and his team make their videos. Especially for these kinds of videos that have fewer moving parts, but also just in general, Vaati will dress up his in-game character as one of the NPCs or lore individuals and go through the motions of things we learn about from hearsay and item descriptions. The NPC's in the game don't actually walk around in a way you would ever catch them. They basically just appear in an area until you interact with them enough times, and then they either stay there, try to fight you, or move to a different place once you leave that current area, just so you can find them later. A lot of the scenes you watch in these videos where characters are interacting are just theatrical versions of the implications that do exist in the game when the Player is given a choice or perspective to consider. The lore, characters, and world are all elevated by Vaati because he basically does the equivalent of showing an audience previously only familiar with the idea of a painting, a moving picture, and it's all the more impressive because he does the leg work and makes it easier for the audience to appreciate all the qualities that elevated the painting by giving us cut dialogue, tasteful artwork, meaningful contemplation, and a healthy balance of visual conditioning that draws one in and helps them understand, even if they don't know why they would want to. If you were confused by him talking about grapes, then you'll probably walk out of the room at the mention of a broiled prawn quest.
Fun and kind of disturbing fact: Shibriri's Woe is a talisman that make the enemies more agressive to the player
But the disturbing things is that Most of the people that react to Shibriri the first time act with agression towards Shibriri (19:58)
Man...why does the Evil ending gotta be the COOLEST one....well actually it was quite warm
Shabriri is the name of a demon of blindness in Jewish folklore.
Both Hyetta and him are spirits that inhabit the dead.
Hyetta genuinely has no idea, while Shabriri knows well what he is doing.
When Shabriri is not lying when he says he cannot die, it's his curse, he will body hop until he succeeds in his mission.
Also a note, in Elden Ring, no one dies of old age, so when the clan was buried alive, they stayed alive, for centuries.
The Reason the player is undressed before the door, is because that is needed to inherit the flame.
In fact, it is strongly hinted that the ONLY reason Vyke hasn't burned down the Erdtree before the start of the game was because he didn't take his armor off when he opened that door.
Also when you get to the Blessings of Despair ending, the Dung Eater would better be described as a Soul Eater.
Video game stories are insanely good but usually take too long to tell. For example Red Dead Redemption 2 has protagonist Arthur Morgan and his story is probably the best told in any media ive seen ever, but it also took me like 90 hours to complete that story, where as a movie takes an hour and a half.
"As surely as night follows day.. I will kill you"
Name a harder line
Y’all should watch wisecrack’s exploration of nier automata. I loved that game
I initially was going to go for the intended ending to become elden lord, but after listening to Kale and completing his quest, I couldn’t help but go with the frenzied flame ending
Fun fact: as a consequence of open-world shenanigans and being able to go wherever you want, you can actually encounter Hyetta (who, as was alluded to in the video, is generally agreed to be the Flame of Frenzy in some way taking over Irina's body) before ever meeting Irina, and in fact even before Irina dies.
Since Elden Ring already has a bit of a common theme of dual characters (a few examples: Godrick the Grafted has an ancestor basically identical to him that you can find imprisoned for the crime of grafting; Astel, a sentient malformed star, has an effective twin elsewhere; Morgott and Mohg have projections of themselves elsewhere; etc.), you can probably imagine how this caused quite a bit of confusion in the community for a couple of months. It's still not entirely a closed case, either; interpretive lore be like, am I right?
I saw this video, it's sad but also very epic
OMG ITS HERE
I feel we don't Shakespearian drama style stories in media and that makes elden ring stand out for me it gives me a flavor I can't get anywhere that isn't fromsoftware
uncle vaati never fails
in the games of these developers, there is rather no dark path or light path, it depends on the point of view, nothing is black or white
''Are you not entertained?'' I thought the same when I went for the Flame of Frenzy ending
I can't wait for the other prepare to cry
Prepare to cry, the blessing of Despair by vaati is another deep dive into human depravity and ahem, despair. Highly recommend!
Commentairy: "Hmm" "Oh!" "Wow"
I think yall would like the Warhammer the last church animated movie.
May Chaos take the world...
May Chaos take...the world
It's actually fascinating how the followers of the Three Fingers and the Yellow Flame operate because they basically embody that sensation you described listening to Shabiri, where everything suddenly isn't RIGHT anymore. Interacting with them is like a sudden onslaught of mental warnings that you're missing what's happening right in front of you, and for them, that's the very reason they go mad. The madness they subscribe to is the idea that the world is inherently wrong down to its roots, and the only people who embrace this idea instead of succumbing when exposed are those with enough pride or ego to believe their own individuality still matters even if everything else is doomed.
Would you believe me if I told you there are people who unironically claim that this is the best ending?
Also I can’t wait for him to get around to a Prepare to Cry for Ranni’s ending, because hers is my favorite ending in the game.
I find it to be my favorite ending because it's just plain fucking cool and I could care less about the world im burning but yeah it is by far the worst ending to get. From my experience people call it the best due to a lack of knowledge on lore.
Melt it all away in the yellow flame of frenzy. May chaos take the world! MAY CHAOS! TAKE THE WORLD!!!!
The land between is cursed to never ever let anything die for very long. They all suffer and die over and over, forever. All while being enslaved by various outer gods. Ending this is probably the best ending.
@@acrab6527 It does not stop the outer gods.. It just takes their "toy" away from them... There are more toys.
The lands between is literal. And possibly the most open to manipulation by greater wills (As in the deities). But to take all that you are, your entire world. Everyone's hope and ambition. Or even lack thereof and burn it all away? The End is the end. There are not gonna be anymore chances. Unless the gods can somehow reshape it. Either the Greater Will or any of the probably countless ones that exist. Which kinda defeats the point no?
I will say that standard Elden Lord ending is very much naive. The Ranni ending is pretty much the same. But hope exists in those.
Also the curse is literally just because Destined Death was stolen. That can be fixed. It will be difficult but it can be fixed (You'd need to gather all instances of Destined Death... Every Black Knife. Malikeths sword etc. But as Elden Lord surely you'd have the strenght, and the men to complete such a task.
Or maybe relying on the Elden Ring is not your idea of a good time, so you impose your own order with the power stolen for the task like Ranni.
@@acrab6527 the rabbi ending is probably the better one this is just not good in any way at all and no more torrent :(
I was kinda hoping you'd refer to Kale as Santa Claus, many players did upon seeing him lol
I can't wait until they watch the "Age of the Duskborn" story!
Let there be only CHAOS
Literally stopped him before he could have a sip lol
Also idk why I keep choosing the "bad" endings in Fromsoft games I even did the "fires of Raven" ending in AC6
Hey so, I recommend this video review about the series "Postal", titled "The most offensive game franchise ever". Its about 1 hour long though. Thanks.
Its sad that Kale's quest was cut

I cant drink anymore my liver hurts but I can always raise a bowl of some pot or spark a ciggie during the toast
Kale is the reason this video is so incredibly moving, which makes it unfortunate that I have to explain the majority of what you heard and saw from him in this video doesn't happen in the game. The entire speech given while the character was descending into that pit is cut dialogue from a quest that can't be accessed. In-game, Kale basically just sits near the starting area as a friendly face and the first merchant you encounter. He has a couple of lines about his people and not to mess with them, as well as a couple of lines that help you with an unrelated quest, but I never got a sense of his animosity nor the scale of the atrocity committed to his people. You can still see his people massacred below the capitol in the game, but the characters never really mention it, at least not with a tone of familiarity. This was the first Vaati video that made me want to seriously commit to involving myself with his community in any way possible, and it meant so much more because of the music. I can't explain how invaluable and sensational I find the act of innovation that comes from a place of raw sincerity and conviction. I write music, and I know how impressive it is to take a tune from the game, played by some merchants and meant to be heard in passing, and recontextualize it in a way that captures the sensation that comes from genocide and the implications this corner of the world has on the grand story FromSoftware has crafted. The tune in-game does not have that level of grief nor the story like cadence that resolves with a damning resolution. In-game, it's a simple, lamenting melody that drones in and out, almost like someone left to sit with their sorrow. They took the feeling of stagnant depression and its accompanying ensemble and gave it enough attention where it revealed an untold overture wailing in burning oversight, only to take it a step further and ask "will there ever be a good enough reason that explains why we deserve anything if this kind of prejudice is permitted to persist?"
Now you why Elden Ring won Game Of The Year, and not God Of War Ragnarok. It’s not just Elden Ring that has really deep and emotional trauma of every character you meet in this game.
It’s in every FromSoftware game too,and each NPC you meet has their own emotional trauma they each endured after their world turned upside down.
This is why the fan base is very strong and the community manage to make FromSoftware so recognisable, that even the creator himself acknowledges them. Don’t forget that George R.R Martin himself acknowledges his games.
