    I find it easier to put the clips into the flare first. Match it up with the old clips while it’s still on the fender. Take out the old clips. Then push the flare on with the new clips already attached to it.

    Thx. I have a front one damaged from someone denting the Taco just in front of the door. I would take a bit of extra time to clean the inside of the flare as well, since its off.

    While you were there, you should have sprayed some fluid film or PB Blaster Rust shield in those holes, because that is where the rust starts inside the fender.

    The underside of the fenders are corrosion magnets. I have a 2002 4Runner and the flares are all loose. I might just leave them off and fill the holes with fiberglass.

    Do you need two different colors of clips?

    • @OutdoorTaco
      @OutdoorTaco  Před 2 měsíci

      I’ve linked the package for these clips, the different colors are to differentiate which clips go where; as the size of the holes on the truck are slightly different. Hope this helps!

    If I like how it looks better without the fenders but I don’t want the fender holes what should I do?

    • @OutdoorTaco
      @OutdoorTaco  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Great question! A suggestion from the TacomaWorld forum suggests using epoxy, Bondo or some other plastic filler.
      I've personally never used Bondo or plastic fillers to plug up holes but from what I've seen it seems like an easy DIY solution. Let me know how it goes!
