Linus actually dared Nintendo to strike him, because he was annoyed that they only attack channels which seemingly don't have the resources to defend themselves in court.
I would LOVE for Nintendo stinging a hornets nest and loosing in court. They certainly need a stern talking to.

@@Mat-hr1dg I don't think you want that to happen, if Nintendo loses in Court it could mean the end of mainstream gaming, cause it literally could mean anyone can make emulators and sell them, publishers would not make money off their games, so why make games, Nintendo would lose money on making and developing consoles, so why make them. Obviously they would not lose and take it lying down, but that is the trajectory, either emulators get completely illegal, or it could destroy the gaming or even any computer program. So people need to stop being so naïve, and selfish. Capitalism works because IP, if anyone can take what you make and resell it at a cheaper price or for free it destroys that particular market, because why would you continue to invest in it when someone can just steal what you make.

This is the thing I hate about CZcams allowing corporations to abuse their power. They can click a button or have a bot do something, whereas CZcams creators have to go through a long manual process to get this rescinded.
Just another way for CZcams to drive out the content we actually come here for. They are setting the table for a competitor to come in steal everything with having to work too hard.

CZcams needs to remove the ability to issue strikes to those who keep sending fake strikes like nintendo
The problem is that they have to have SOMETHING in the works under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to maintain their status as a Safe Harbor. And we all know that Google's been all about AI and The Algorithm long before ChatGPT made AI the new hotness. Instead of having a system that's fair to both parties, it's much cheaper to bow down to the group that could sue them into oblivion and tell the group that can't to go fuck themselves. And Google knows there will never be a video hosting site to dethrone CZcams, so viewers and content creators get to polish knobs for all Google cares.
Nintendo needs to be dismantled and has all of it's IP moved to the public domain.
CZcams is a train wreck. Just wait until you get your monetization crippled because YT claims to have detected invalid traffic on one or more of your videos but won't tell you which video, where the traffic came from or how to remedy the situation. Lots of YTers are suffering from this right now and YT is simply saying "tough". So much for being CZcams PARTNERS... creators are now just CZcams serfs who will put up with whatever is thrown at them or leave. I miss the good old days when YT really understood the meaining of "partner".
I can see how that one is going badly internally though. These illegitimate traffic claims are assumed to be malicious from the start (since the bulk of them is probably small channels with auto-generated videos, but the general public only ever gets to learn of the bigger channels caught in it by mistake). Seeing it this way: asking about it is treated like a potential cheater asking how a cheater got caught: once it comes out new cheaters will take care to not be caught the same way.

So glad I dont have anything nintendo anymore. The strangle hold they have on videos or streamers is insane and people need to stop buying Nintendo products until they stop this predatory behavior and shame on YT for allowing this crap.
Whelp, guess I'm never buying another Nintendo product again. I appreciate this channel too much and to see it get bullied, I can't in good faith spend money in support of that bully.
I wish I could boycott Nintendo, but I haven't been buying their products to begin with. My daughter only got a switch when she could afford to buy it herself when she got her own job in college. (And it was a used device.)

Get your own domain that you can stream from and direct CZcams users to your site. So play it safe with CZcams streams and gets users to sign up to a mailing list and notification system that you have full control over.
Yeah. nobody would sign up for that. There's a reason why people go to CZcams...this is where users are, and changing that is MONUMENTALLY hard.
@@1337GameDev I have to agree with this point. I have both GOG and Steam, but I still buy and play most of my games on Steam, despite the GOG launcher being able to see and launch Steam games. And while I occasionally watch content on Twitch, I do most of my watching on CZcams. Once a habit has been established...
Also, setting up a streaming site is very costly and quite frankly a pain in the ass. Ask Luke of LMG fame about launching Floatplane. I know Nebula's had similar issues.
Nintendo would just send official cease and desist in this case and you'd need a lawyer anyway.

Yes. I'm not sure what Visa Reese is under, but most visas have time limits. If he doesn't and INS picks him up, one of the actions INS can take against Reese is to ban him from ever coming back to the US. That's why there's been lots of posts to find Reese a spouse in the US, as marrying a US Citizen almost immediately grants the non-US spouse a green card and the ability to stay in the US as a resident alien.

I feel like we the viewers and members of the tech community need to start pushing back against Nintendo and push back against CZcams for letting things like this affect a small creator for so long. It is VERY unfair that LTT has an android on switch video, but UFD can't have theirs and that is just the tip of the iceberg. I am so so so tired of hearing my favorite tech-tubers having issues with Nintendo and EVERYBODY agreeing that they are a scummy company, yet all Nintendo has to do is say 'Zelda' or 'Switch' and everybody comes running. Y'all either need to STOP supporting Nintendo, or stop acting like you don't approve of them and then spend your money there SMH

as long as they don't do the ufd tech content on another channel it "should be" ok. Many companies have multiple channels, they don't have to stop doing everything because one was disabled.
