  • Selina Busby is an academic and theatre practitioner who makes performances with community groups at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She is a principal lecturer in Applied Theatre, teaching on both the BA Drama, Applied Theatre and Education and the MA Applied Theatre courses. As a practitioner, she works in prison settings, youth theatres, and with young people living in adverse conditions both in the UK and internationally, with current projects including work with communities who have experienced homelessness or who live in informal housing settlements in India and New York and also those in the prison system in England and in Malta.
    Selina's talk considers whether theatre can change the world; a city, a community or even an individual, asking if change is possible, or, if it is just a utopian fantasy?
