- Why talent doesn't mean anything if you're a jerk and other lessons in theatre!
Marianne received her BFA in Theatre Arts from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Marianne has directed many main-stage productions for Grandstreet, most recently The Lion King, JR, Rock of Ages, A Christmas Carol, Oklahoma, The 25th Annual Putnam Co. Spelling Bee, Big River, Ragtime, Annie, Peter Pan, Oliver, and Songs for a New World. She teaches acting classes for the Theatre School (greatest kids in town). She has also worked as a mentor and artist-in-residence in the Helena Public Schools and surrounding areas. Marianne was the 2015 Runner-up for the Excellence in Theatre Education Award presented by The Broadway League and Carnegie Mellon University at The Tony Awards.

This is great advice! I’ve worked with many theatre and film groups, and the key elements everyone looks for is kindness and respect!
She's actually pretty hilarious 😂 but she also teaches some really good life lessons
I felt in love with her! She is hilarious and said "a lot" of good advice. If she comes out with a book and I'll buy it for sure
What does "a lot" mean? I am still new to theatre.
She was adorable! I loved her presentation so much
Yay! Marianne TEDtalk!

Tomarrow we have our first preformance and we have to go in and get ready at 5:30 and we get out of school at 3:05 so were all just going to hang out and play games at or near the school until it's time to get ready itll be so fun
purplecatlover1825 randompizza that sounds cool. How did it go?
I did 3 productions in each year (y6 y5 y4 and y3) and all 4 times for my years's productions I fell off the stage and got severe concussion and still went on to do the shows :) Usually I got the day off of school and only had to come in when the shows were on.

Actor here. Still find her irksome and disjointed.
