Thank you so much!!!! All the videos I watched on converting my club car never say anything about those two wires from the charge plug. Been stressing about what to do, now I know. I have a different design club car than you so my conversion to a different charging port for lithium was easier, accessing on board computer was a bit more involved. Thanks again for posting this video you helped me a lot.
Great video. Helped me with my Li-Ion upgrade on and Icon i40. Understand now what to do with the new charger and what to take out from the old one. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
@@kartkrazy I see this comment so often. When it reality, it makes no difference at all. You're getting rid of 300 lbs of lead acid and replacing it with 90 lbs of lithium. You could hold the battery in your lap and the cart would ride just fine.
Nice build. I recently saw an interesting golf cart build. The guy added a gasoline generator so he could do long distance. Muffler was fairly quiet. Series hybrid EV. Like a FiskerEV
Really well put together video and information. I just installed the ECO Battery 51V 105AH thru hole kit in my club car precedent and it fit like a glove. No cutting to get it to sit flat and the positive and negative is opposite so the cables are long enough. Not being critical of your install but thought I would share. I share your thoughts on lead acid batteries. Also I will look into selling the used batteries to the parts store!
Hey thanks for the video. Allied sent me a solenoid and voltage controller. Should I keep the original club car solenoid? 2007 club car precedent. Thanks
Question: I’m completely new to golf carts and golf cart mechanics in general. What do you think the odds of a first timer doing a lithium conversion successfully? @kartkrazy most carts today and those you see in golf cart communities are already equipped to run headlights, horns, usb ports, sound bars, etc. They're not as basic as what you've shown. They need more.
Nice job, what does that kit cost? A little tip for the next time you want to drill a hole in existing spot where old battery light is just take a piece of scrap wood and you can use a spring clamp to hold it and this way you have a solid spot to start your pilot bit on your hole saw and it shouldn't move around on you.Merry Christmas.

Always install on passenger side for weight distribution.

I’ve had an Allied 150Ah with a Plum Quick (in a Precedent) for over a year. It’s been a great setup with great mileage. I really enjoy the videos.

What kind of mileage do you get.
@stambo39 lots of variables go into that…type of terrain, how many passengers, driving habits etc. I would say 30-45 is a good range

So the ignition and lights were the cords from the old computer?
No other wiring necessary?
This cart did not have headlights. Otherwise, a voltage reducer would be needed

Totally up to you… Either should work fine
Tks for the video..what was the cost for the battery pack and charger??...also how do you change the code from 3 to a 4 or5??
The cost of the battery set up is about 2500… The highest speed code that you can get is a speed code 4, and it has to be done at the dealer

What about the lights, horn, turn signals? I noticed your cart isn't equipped with them. You're still going to need the on board computer, correct?
The on board computer has nothing to do with the lights… it requires a voltage reducer
