You honestly do not need to know A lot of Math, but basic math in order to measure your fabric into a shirt, blouse, jeans etc.

my niece had such exceptional drawing skills and imagination. She dreamt of becoming a fashion designer and living with passion but she neglected it to study journalism. Now every time someone mentions it, she gets very sad.not everyone has the chance to follow dreams :(

Not always. You have to learn pattern making and need geometry and fractions for that but once you are out of school and design for a company you don't really need it because most companies outsource their pattern making.

i wanna be a fashion designer too, its my dream since i was 9. i think first of all you have to have the talent, and you have to work hard to reach your goals.

It takes a lot of perseverance but if you really want it you can make it happen for yourself. I am one in NYC designing for a start up called The Style Club right out of college.
