I wd like to know how to change the battery and install a new one. I thought I did it right but it still keeps beeping!

if it keeps beeping after the battery replacement, it's time to replace the alarm. Especially if those beeping stated in the middle of a cold night.

@@GREATLFG thank you. I did have it replaced. (I live in an apartment). I now have another that started doing the same thing. Replaced battery. 2 mos later, beeping again, several times. It’s hardwired, so it shdnt be draining the battery. Temporarily disconnected. It’s just inside my bedroom door. The new one is just outside my bedroom door, so I’m not too worried.
