I've listen to it thousands of times and it always brings a smile to my face and comforts me.
Always wanted to tell you how that recording has helped me through the years and to thank you for everything you've done for culture, music and humanity.

I remember playing his Children's Songs when I was a teenager. His work really inspired me to open my horizon to new levels in playing the piano and improvising. I meant to see Chick finally in concert in Vienna, Austria in March 2020; that was unfortunately postponed due to the Covid situation to Feb 22 this year. A great inspiration and legend will be very much missed! His passing came as a shock to me. R.I.P. Chick Corea.

I found out just an hour ago that the great Armando Anthony "Chick" Corea past away two days ago on February 9,2021.
My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Gayle Moran de Corea and to the rest of the Corea family.
Chick brought such aesthetic beauty to the world!
Chick's music will continue inspiring generations yet unborn.
His wonderful music will live on for eternity.
My! What a legacy!
I was blessed to shake Chick's hand on August 18,1974 after a Return To Forever concert at Doug Weston's Troubadour.
I again shook Chick's hand at a Stanley Clarke concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in 1976.
I am so proud to say that I, although I wasn't credited, did my little part in getting a CD released by Chick called "The Complete "Is" Sessions" in 2002 on Blue Note.
Back in 1990, I lobbied Michael Cuscuna, Blue Note reissue coordinator, to see if he could collate both the "Is" and "Sundance" album tracks plus the many Alternate Takes onto one release!
I felt this period of Chick's recording legacy deserved to be better represented in that these sessions were released in such a haphazard form by the sessions producer Sonny Lester.
The two original albums were fine but there were alternate takes with different titles on various compilations.
After contacting Mr. Cuscuna and he writing back to me in 1990, I pretty much forgot about the potential release until one day in 2002 when I was staggered seeing the double CD "The Complete "Is" Sessions" at Amoeba Music in Hollywood!
I was so proud of Mr. Cuscuna in getting this project accomplished!
I first heard Chick when my late brother Anthony brought home a copy of Return To Forever's "Hymn Of Seventh Galaxy" and being blown away with the album!
Being of Latino heritage, what hooked me in was those Latin sounds and the celebration of life in the music!
I'll never forget it!
Thank you for all the joy you brought into my life!

I know that you've returned to forever, but this was so incredible, i got lost, missed the tick of time while listening and watching this improvisation, what else could i've expected, will watch all the others later. I know that this is a term that is used losely lately, but this was actually inspiring, i haven't given myself a chance on playing the piano lately, for almost a month, but have experienced other arts, i was listening to my improvisation and i realized that you've been a big inspiration, hope to make something great some day, but for now, i'm happy, thank you so much. Will never forget about you.
After days of sadness, this recording comes as a blessing… A great of reminder of the playful genius he was, and a beautiful ending from the guy who inspired me for the past 30 years. Thank you maestro, rest in peace knowing that you left the world a better place than you found it.

For more than 50 years, Chick Corea has been at the music's forefront, helping Miles Davis usher in his mind-blowing fusion projects in the late 60s, heading the free-jazz outfit Circle and the influential Return To Forever in the 1970s and fronting his own Akoustic and Elektric bands in the 80s and beyond. RIP. My hero.

This is one of those rare times that I felt lonelier when somebody passed away. It is probably the first time that I can not say "life goes on". Chick Corea had the biggest part and influence in my love for music listening experience for the past forty years. I don't want to believe he is gone.

Chick Corea has been definitely one my favorite jazz giants of all time. Yet I still can't believe how real this is. I'm so heartbroken by it. He really was my first ever jazz musician to look up to. I remember listening to his first #1 hit song "Spain" back when I was in high school. I would later dig into his music and sit down and just hear all of his greatest hits, his concerts, and watching him perform was just amazing. I'll never forget how truly great he was. His music still lives on and may he rest in peace. I'm glad that I own two of his records on vinyl. They are both piano improvisations 1 & 2. Chick Corea. Thank you for your wonderful work of music. We will still keep on listening to your music. No matter what it is, we will keep on playing for you and your fans who you inspire very much. Thank you for your wonderful advice. We will miss you chick. You are a legend. You will never be forgotten. Your music will dedicate us to become a better musician.

I wonder if he knew how little time he had left. Was he still receiving treatment at this point or was it terminal?Obviously only close friends and family must have known. It’s quite a shock read of his passing.
Was gonna see him live in Gronau last November... I'm devastated. A legend, so human and joyful and creative; I hope his beautiful music will provide some consolation and continue to inspire all of us.

Heart Breaking. I listened to him growing up. He was one of those legendary artists who I had always hoped I would get the chance to see perform once I get my own life in order. I was watching his videos here and sharing them with my dad during the pandemic. He looked so healthy, I had no idea he was dealing with cancer. I'm really thrown aback. Bless you man
😭 Look at the at the end of this masterpiece. Look at the joy the music still gave him after all these decades. Like a child mashing on the keys and hearing the wonderous sound that comes forth for the first time. This is how a true master approaches their instrument, like it's the first time every time and anything is possible. I had the privilege to attend one of his performances in Minneapolis in 2000. I wish I could remember more of it. It was amazing, there was just so much to take in. RIP Mr. Corea, one of the all time greats that ever was or will be. You have now returned to forever.
