    That underhand full court pass at 1:01 was just done by Lamelo ball not too long ago and people are saying it is the greatest pass they have never seen. Well pistol Pete did it.

      Yeah, that pass is just unreal. Over half court, underhand, with English, and dead on target. Wow!

    The MAJORITY of NBA games in the 1970's weren't even televised. Hell the FINALS were aired TAPED DELAYED!!! If it was covered as it is today, we'd have tons more Pistol highlights to enjoy.

      NBA got no respect then. I remember Sports Illustrated had a small story in the back of the magazine when the Warriors swept the Bullets in '74.

    Maravich has the ball.
    Ball disappears into a parallel universe.

    0:35, 2:21, 5:32 & 6:37 These were all during his 68-point game against the Knicks in the NOLA Superdome in ‘77

    Beginning of the age of pizzaz. Pete lived ate and slept basketball. Amazing skills before injuries stopped him. If he were on a top team with the 3point shot, might have been the best ever.

    Imagine Pete and Lenny Wilkins (East ASG) in the backcourt. The other players would only have to run and get open. Amazing passers.

    Those great passes should have been great assissts, but nobody could make a shot except Dr.J...And who was dribbling like that back then? Such authority and ease #handles

      he's only underrated because of the time he played in ( the 70's) if he played in the late 80's - 90's he would be talked about more.

      Yes. Most of his career he played with guys who were so far below his skills. High school and college must have been even worse! :)

    Maravich averaged 44 pts per game during his college career. A calculation was done that if there were a 3-point line in college during Maravich's time, he would have averaged ~66 pts per game. In my opinion, his college scoring record will never be broken!!

      Michael Farotto According to the article I read, the calculation that was done with the computer program was 66 pts/game. Either way, this will be one college record that will never be broken!
