Im attempting a servo change next week . I dont want to encounter any issues . I have watched other videos using the servo for corvette . This video is the only one showing trimming the rod . I dont have that tool .
Fixed my 2 3 flare and a slip when shifting to 3rd at higher rpms, my o rings were really worn out and had to be leaking the old servo would just fall apart if you held it above the table Now it shifts like new and can't make it slip
So you didn't have to push in the cover to remove the old snap ring? I thought that's what you had to do. So do I just pry my old one out then I'm scared I'll mess it up and it won't come out doing it the way you just did any advice? I have a 4l60e 2001 Silverado.
I bought a corvette servo from you for a 2005 Suburban 4L60E. When I removed my original servo it had an additional spacer that was sandwiched between the cover and the larger piston. Do I need to transfer this spacer over to your Corvette servo before I reassemble it? Thanks 🙏
@@fuzzymoto896 I didn’t get a response. The install was easy enough. I tried it with the spacer and without. Seemed like the shift was a little more harsh with the spacer installed. I removed it and the shift was a quick crisp shift. I’ve been running it without the spacer since then. Seems to be doing fine.
@@qm2092 I really do appreciate you responding and providing the info on the spacer. Makes me feel much more confident about trying this. I wish you all the best, Thanks.
@@mafosa8519 ya like I did and had to drive around with no 4th gear or lockup until I did it all over again and install the correct shorter servo pin... SONNAX factory gives the CORRECT procedure at: sonnax.wistia.com/medias/6vk91vkb9g
Reduces slipish/lag between shift itll shift harder/quicker with the Corvette servo instead of slipping in between shift causing it to compelley fall on it face
Thanks. What you said at 3:09 happened to me. Dumped a gallon of oil on the road and got a tow home before I finally heard "the snap"
Definitely glad I watched this, mine got stuck going in and the hammer did the trick.
I have one of these Corvette piston kits coming in the mail for my 03 suburban 1500. I hope it will be as easy as you make it look
Thanks for sharing
How did it do? I just ordered one for my 08 suburban
Any good results?
Where you get it from?

Tony, you made a great video for all of us .....GREAT JOB !!!
It had a corvette servo in it already, u can tell by the ribs on back of the piston, corvette are 5 rib and Camarillo and trucks are 3 rib

Great video...thank you
Got 1 question if u sell them pre-assembled how do you know the installer has correct clearance
Do I need to put the clip on the spring I have an already to install assembly

Did you ever get your question answered? How did the install go?

So pin length is not important to check- just slap 'er in ??
i dont think they want to complicate things..

What is the reason to upgrade for a corvette servo?. I have a 2011 gmc with 5.3L

Do you sell them? Or you only sell the parts kit to get rebuilt?
