They were only using it in 2D, You should explain that it can also draw straight up in the air from the table for the 3rd D.
lol it took me a second , i was like what do you mean the art is 3d ...then i realized oh you mean without laying it on the table then makein it 3d instead of just doing it in the 3 axis
The chair and the glasses were 3D. They are only beginners and I feel like they did great!

That's likely where the idea came from. Someone crafting with a glue gun wished for a smaller nozzle and stiffer material, and here we are...
I think someone originally developed the 3D pen as a learning tool for kids and for roughing out some 3D designs.

They should have gotten some instructions to get 3D objects by stacking layers like building a brick house
Might be better to show them someone using the pen, or at least explaining what it's best used for, before giving it to them to try.
