Great painting Skip, we appreciate the care and detail put into these posts, wish more folks would see them and comment, but I just tend to be a "blabber mouth" by nature, I guess. LOL. Yes, the smaller study, and prep, can be the basis for much bigger paintings, perhaps with a bit of photo reference added in for the final scale required. I have actually gone the other way too, taken a big painting and went back to do smaller studies to see if I could fix stuff not working in the bigger one! Then you can always go back again to do the big painting, and see if it works now, and if not, you can....... Just kiddding!! Cheers!
