This was the first Titanic film I ever watched. Despite all the historical inaccuracies, it was still an amazing film, and a lot of good came from it too. It reignited the Titanic craze and even played a role in the existence of “A Night to Remember.” In addition, I can draw a number of parallels between this film and Cameron’s 1997 film. I also think about that final boiler explosion. Despite the fact that no boiler explosions occurred in the real sinking, that final explosion in the 1953 film was, at least in my belief, the closest audiences ever came to seeing and hearing the ship break apart before the wreck’s 1985 discovery.
One of my favorite movies, one that you can watch and enjoy over and over. I like Barbara Stanwyck's no-nonsense character Julia, and Thelma Ritter is outstanding: "Sure clouded up. Well, a word'll do it quicker than a hickory stick any day". I'd like to be in that marathon card game with Thelma Ritter!
This Movie I Believe To Be A Public Dominion Film. Why Do You Feel People Should Have To Pay For Our Historical Classic Silver Screen Films From Our For Fathers. When It's Should Be Classified As Heritage Film Material. It Has Already Made It's Money At The Theater Box Office & Has Been Broadcasted On Public Television Numerous Times & Since I Was A Little Boy ( I'm 63 Years Of Age Now ) / No One Should Have To Pay For Access To Such Material. To Enjoy Our Forefathers Accomplishments In The Film Industries Of The Free World !!! ( Online Or Off. / CZcams & Others, You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourselves !!! ).
I bought it on blu-ray. and yeah it is a 1953 movie that is pretty expensive for its time. and guess fawking what! I once uploaded it and it got tooken down by disney. SO YA KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!
