Thank you so much for watching!
What an honor to be commissioned for the beautiful cabin print! And, it is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!❤
So interesting! I love what you're doing with your land Laura & Jonas! 💚💚💚💚💚💚From Vancouver, BC Canada.
Ahhh the lovely Noops!
Once again a wonderful video. I find looking at these images so peaceful.
Glad you like it! :)
I smiled to see your neighbor’s dog sitting on your lap as you worked. Clearly he is liking his new neighbors and all the activity. I saw later that his owners are keeping him confined to home. Sad for the dog..but I understand .
Splendid ! The print will be treasured I'm sure!❤
What a beautiful place, and the progress you are making is fantastic!
If round bales of straw are available, have you considered light clay straw (or slip straw) wall construction?
Your videos are wonderfully made, and I’ll never tire of seeing your ink creations or hearing your soothing voice. Thank you for taking the time to share.
Best wishes from Texas
Hi, thank you very much for watching and the compliments! Round bales are available indeed, and we will consider the clay straw technique in the future if we add a room to the back! We have found reedbales instead, hope to get them in august. Thanks for following!
Inspirador o seu trabalho
I just found your channel and am thoroughly enjoying catching up with all your videos. 💕 I am amazed at how hard you two are working to create your place in the world. Also, I think your neighbor’s dog is smitten with you. 🥰🐾

Thank you for inspiration-idea - gas bottle fueled compact hot water system
Hey Laura en Jonas. Geweldig om te zien dat jullie je droom waarmaken. Ik heb jullie kanaal pas ondekt en gelijk geabbonneerd. Succes!!!
great work
Wow!
From France, south west, thank you to let us discover seasons in north Europe, in a island, I am wondering, what makes the red colour of your walls, do you choose a special soil localy to have this colour? Baltik see I saw it decades ago as I went as an au pair in north germany.
Leaking rain water container - Alosha may know how to detect and fix leakage
Another great video, thank you!
I'm interested to see how you'll build the chicken coop: how will you protect them from predators? Or are there no real predators on the island?
Hi Laura, I love your videos. Thanks for sharing all your hard work! I have a question about the round wood house. What did you use to protect it from rotting in the ground and how long do you expect it to last?
We used pine for this, dug holes, and filled them up with gravel around the wood. the wood was first charred on the outside , and the underside of the trunks we also protected with a layer of rubber. I don't know, personally I expect at least 30 years, hopefully longer. We followed the recommendations in Ben Law's natural timberframebooks.
Thanks! I'll check out that book.
Do you need to rinse the seaweed to remove the salt before using it in the garden or compost?
Salt levels are not high here. It's all good after a good rain :)
Do you make a good living by selling your
artwork?❤
It's okay but could be better. I would definitely not be able to do this if I have rent, mortgage and a lot of bills to pay in a city :p
