That would have been so much better, especially since Spider-Man has called himself Batman at least twice. (Runaways series 1, and The New Animated Series.)

Also, I hate when a trailer shows the title then cuts to a jokey scene, every time I'm in the theatres I scream, "got to end on a joke"
I pitched the "I'm vengeance" line to my sister and I was mocked, she laughed at me, oh, how she laughed. She called me a dumb hick, at a dinner.
Keoghan is pronounced ki-owe-gun, The g can be silent in parts of Ireland (has become Keown and variations) but Barry is from Dublin (as is Domhnall Gleeson…) and uses the hard g pronunciation. Anyway, big fan of the podcast!

RE: Visual quality in Soider-Man NWH (and Marvel in general). There's a lot of stuff in recent films where you can tell that the characters were shot on blue screen and comped in later. The scene that stood out the most for me was when Happy is talking to Peter at May's grave - Happy is lit totally wrong, and it's obvious they weren't on set at the same time.

You guys remember Columbo right? That series about a charmingly disarming detective who dresses like a homeless flasher?
Well when the original NBC run came to an end, the network decided to Greenlight a spinoff focusing on Columbo's infamously unseen wife Mrs. Kate Columbo, without the permission of the original series' producers.
The series starred a young Kate Mulgrew, Janeway from Voyager, as the recently divorced wife of Columbo who somehow also gets involved in solving murders.
It was a massive flop and the connections to Columbo only pissed off fans.
So to try and save it they played down the connections to Columbo in later episodes, before dropping it entirely, and renamed the series three separate times across its two season run before it was cancelled.
The show was so infamously poorly received that when the original Columbo returned to air on rival network ABC nine years later, Columbo made a jabbing reference to someone going around pretending to be his wife.

No spoilers, the post-credits really are as bad as the reviews say. If anything, the reviews are being too nice. They're absolutely fucking atrocious.

I think most of the reviewers share your sentiment but they have to be nice if they ever want to go to another Sony premiere.

BBC2 before school in the mornings. Literally never heard it mentioned since though.
I mean, No Way Home is shot like a high school comedy movie in the same way Homecoming and Far From Home are. That shot with Flash Thompson in particular is a joke and would look absolutely absurd in the style of The Batman or even one of the more serious MCU movies.
Highlander: The Series was a great martial arts show about an immortal Scotsman.
Raven 2002 was a kids show that I may or may not have watched about an immortal Scotsman.
Raven 1992 was martial arts show that is not about an immortal Scotsman but stars Mortal Kombat Conquest's Jeffery Meek.

Guys I live in the town Riverdale is based on. It's not actually called Riverdale. It is a very quiet town along the Merrimack river in Massachusetts USA called Haverhill! It is literally the most boring place anyone could live. There's nothing to do, no spaceships, no time travel, no talking dogs. I am bored to tears literally every day of my life!

Joey isn't even the first failed spin off series starring Matt LeBlanc. He played a boyfriend of Kelly Bundy in a Married With Children episode, and they decided to create a series around his character. It was called Top of the Heap and lasted only a couple of episodes.
I've seen two different reviews of that series, and you still had to remind me it existed. It might be the sitcom I think the least about of all the ones I know.
Cherish Monthbius before we have to wait again
I think a cool BACKstory for joker would be as follows: in a past life we find Detective Joke E.R. working in some sort of behavioral analysis unit for the police and that’s why he’s always one step ahead of Batman during an interrogation. PLUS he knows exactly what kind of crazy criminal The Riddler is in the movie The Batman, starring RoBAT BATTinSON, son.
As it was one of my favorite movies of all time as a kid, I love that somehow, Robot Jox keeps coming up in conversation in the media I watch throughout my life. lol
Can't believe you didn't mention "Baywatch Nights", the show that ripped off, sorry, "was inspired by" the X-Files (spin off of Baywatch, obviously).
Is it wrong that I look forward to people hating on Morbious...and by Morbious, I mean Jared Leto.

Absolutely, I'm excited to see the train wreck. I think this is the first time I've been excited to see something I know will be bad.

I get the feeling that it will have some really atrocious moments, like the post credits, but most of it will just be boring af, like so many bad blockbusters. So I’ll probably just wait for the clips and reactions on CZcams, rather than pay to sit through two hours of that crap

Raven is an excellent UK kids gameshow. Well loved and missed by people who were students at the time who watched it while skiving off.

I really hope we don't actually see a free Joker in the next Robat Battinbat movie - and the Joker stays in Arkham and Batman has to keep going back to him for advice until eventually he's released in movie #3.
i agree that it would ruin the riddler reveal but the cut joker scene explains why the joker knows to make a connection with riddler at the end in arkham (joker should have been taken out entirely tho along with some of the penguin stuff, cut it down to 2 h 20 m would have been the greatest movie ever)

I agree with the NWH part. It doesn't take away from the movie. But it's there. The only issue with the final battle I had which is soo dumb is that Tobey's suit is MCU-ified during battle. 😂 His eyes are way too white & his webbing doesn't pop out if they're going for the same Raimi look. This is only during battle btw.
I recently watched all of Star Trek the original series for the first time and I'm glad to hear someone talking about that weird episode with Gary Seven because I thought I'd fallen asleep and dreamt it. Surprised you guys didn't mention that Gary has a pet cat that wants to have sex with him. I can't imagine why it wasn't picked up as a spin-off and has never been referenced in Star Trek again.
What’s interesting is on that suitcase it’s not the smart professor hulk we have now, it’s the old smashy hulk we all know and love which makes me think will we get that hulk and have some version of wolverine vs hulk but with Deadpool instead whereas in the hulk can go all out on screen with the person he’s fighting because Deadpool can regenerate ? I don’t know, would be cool, but would prefer it if it was our boy Logan to throw down the dice with Bruce in an all out brawl first

This movie was so bad. It leaked online and it’s the first movie to get negative downloads. I tried to rent it from my local rental shop, asked when it would be due, and the girl behind the counter begged me to keep it. The soundtrack to Morbius is just a soundtrack of suicides by Sony execs

I've known about Simpson's on Tracy Ullman for years, but I only recently learned that people think it's a spin-off. Which is so weird. It's more like a reimagining or reboot, or retool, if anything. A spin-off is a couple of characters in a new setting. Not the same family in the same house, with different personalities.
Not going to spoil Morbius but I'm just going to say: I cannot wait for your review next week.
When Netflix killed the Dark Crystal TV show after already having financed the puppets and the sets and the filming and CGI overlay technique development needed to actually make it I lost a lot of faith in it as a platform for content I’ll enjoy. Dunno about the rest of the world but in the UK it seems to be increasingly just celebrity cooking shows and similar boring played out cheap ideas these days.
You weren't alone in liking the Dark Crystal show. That went some way to making up for the Hobbit and Star Wars movies being crap.
Tbh, Age of Resistance being cancelled was the most understandable for me. I mean, it was just soooo expensive to make - I’d say it was probably unlikely that they were ever going to make any more. The Jim Henson people actually pitched a much cheaper animated version - it was Netflix themselves who pushed for the full fat version. I’m still gutted that it got cancelled, but I’m also glad that we got it at all

38:49 I hate to be "that guy" but I'm just saying in cars 1 before the race at the end there are jets that do a fly over and they're normal jets lol also a young girl car is seen with a toy jet which I'm struggling to understand how she's holding it now that I think about it😂 but cars was one of my favorite movies as a kid trust me the jets are in there, briefly 😂

I think they're fine/average.
They're both certainly better and more enjoyable than Alien Resurrection, The Predator, Prometheus and Covenant.

The original Alien is basically a slow burn slasher in space. And Predator 2 is a slasher in the big city.
There's more to all of these movies than that. That's just a generalization.
But to me, AVPR, while obviously not as good as the ones I'm about to mention, is better at capturing the oppressive encroaching darkness and uncomfortable wetness of the original Alien and the unrelenting swarm chase feeling of Aliens.
Nicholas Cage came to my house & he was rude to my whole family and my neighbours so.. I can confirm it is in a sinister way lol.

17:26 Exactlyy and I also fear the same thing because I’m feeling that NOW about Marvel🤦🏽♂️ I’m a massive fan from day one but and people who are the same will drift off if they keep going down this path of “here it is, love it cus it’s marvel” nooo keep putting the work in that made the MCU what it is today! There are soooo many great characters and stories yet to be brought in and I just hope it’s all done the right way and not just because!
I think the main issue is they're doing too many things at once, and they do these long reshoots so the movies effects looks unpolished in parts. I think dr strange will have the same problem as well

So from what I've gathered... All the stuff about Oscorp and Spiderman and the original Toomes stuff is gone. He's just in the post credit sequence, and again in an obvious ADR and stuntman shot. Oh and Loxias Crown is now Milo Morbius... Even Matt Smith hasn't a clue. But Morbius is taking place in Venom's universe... Which now has Adrian Toomes in it. The blip isn't a thing... They just let him out because he just appeared and they've no reason to hold him??! 😂 Ridiculous.
The ONLY reason I had to watch this was to see how the Amazing Spiderman Oscorp, Raimi Spiderman, MCU Toomes and Daily Bugle all would tie together.
It's CRAZY to think that this was basically filming the same time as Far From Home... I really think that Morbius was hacked apart by execs and difficulties with the Marvel and Sony deal.
The early leak of the film, where Morbius meets Toomes in prison, where the guy Tyrese is playing, his robot arm is made by Oscorp etc... That mentioned the Blip... That sounded WAY more cohesive and not actually half bad... This sounds like everyone gave up when it was butchered by the studio mandates.
I feel bad for the director and the crew and cast of these films who are really passionate about these projects but end up with hot burning garbage like this.
I think the awful Post credit scene is where a stuntman in a new Vulture suit lands in a field to meet Morbius and then a clearly ADRd in Keaton says stuff about getting Spiderman or something.
