Me too. I honestly thought I would be doing a little better than this after working so hard on it all year. It’s good to know I can just go back to my tinker time in the garage at any time without posting everything I do.
@@KJRaycing So did i to be honest, maybe as the hobby/sport gains more popularity more people will want to join in on the amazing FUN that are cross karts/buggy's.

Love the mass video dump! Excited to explore different options for the rear end. My daughter likes your build videos and wants a kart of her own. I think the solid axle will be the way I go for hers.
I hope it works out. I had them scheduled to be released an episode every 10 days… but that did’t really align with the quick build part… my daughter is super pumped about this one to as she will finally get some solo seat time!

Fantastic video on the jig setup. Your crossbcart design and performance is outstanding. Too bad I have aged to the point of its getting hard to get around and do all that welding.

Perfect Move, Covering the lengths...and because I have not built mine yet I might length it 3" because I am 6ft 1" and like space for my legs. Plans are Awesome.
Thanks man! I wanted to share this info in the build earlier this year, but it just seemed like too much… I don’t think 3” is going to affect handling very much at all.

I wanted to ask if all the welding on the frame and jig be done by TIG welder? or should i get a MIG welder?
Well thank you! You can absolutely use a tig welder for everything. I would love to start using tig!

Sounds like you’re a youngin… you would enjoy building one with a predator engine a lot more, then when you have that experience go for the one has too much power 🤜🤛

thanks for video. I been looking for a project with my jd2 hydraulic bender. i just ordered a crossfire pro cnc last week. I might try to design mine tho . how long did graphing take you? i have bend tech pro software, but I dont have tons of time working with CAD software so buying pre designed plans might just be smarter the first time around. Do you have an estimate on about how many feet of tubing you used? thanks for the video and inspiration.
You can get the plans and save yourself a lot of trouble… it was 6 months of design in cad, a chassis to make adjustments from, 3 more months in cad and a second chassis to make sure everything worked, then a few more months and adjustments for a third and final design chassis. You’re looking at an overall 15 years of design and research. There is a plans overview video on my channel that gives total tube lengths needed and a full walkthrough of everything. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, building these has inspired a lot of guys to build VF-1’s 👍. Enjoy the build 🦾
@@KJRaycing I did find your videos explaining details, thanks for the reply. My favorite quote from your video was about fabraication and easy fabrication. I liked that.Probably the number #1 reason why i got a cnc plasma cutter(easy). I will use my better judgement here and just buy the plans when I get ready to build. I bought the jd2 a few years ago and recently got the whole Air/hydraulic setup from jd2.kinda wish i new about the rogue fab before i bought the jd2. anyways, thanks again.
I think for those who have limited space a jog should also be collapsible so when you are done building one you can fold it up and store it
I just cut the tack welds loose to store them.

I bought your plans and starting to get steel around. I am 6’ tall is the 3” extra needed or is more for someone taller?
Definitely wouldn’t hurt. The standard chassis meets crosskart racing specifications for length, if you don’t plan to race definitely stretch it a little to make in comfy 🦾
Why did you stretch it 3 inches? I bought the plans and wondering if the current plans are updated to include the 3 inches or not. Thanks :)
This video shows that you can leave it how the plans are or stretch it. You can stretch it however much you want or leave it as described. 👍
Normally the garage floor slopes down towards the garage doors.

These are awesome, do the digital plans come in both metric and imperial? I’m wanting metric as imperial is not my thing
First you need a flat and level floor, which most garages aren’t.
Or level the jig on an uneven floor.
I am trying to follow the instructions. I'm having trouble figuring out what a squared rectanle is. Can you help me please?

No where in the plans does it reference a “squared rectangle.” If you are referencing the video I say it’s a perfect square but it’s actually a rectangle where I made sure all of the corners were perfectly squared before welding, “squared rectangle.”
Aha. That makes sense a rectangle. In the video it said rectanle.

Why not make a jig out of wood with the same measurements but a whole lot cheaper and lighter?
You can absolutely do that! The measurements are in the plans and the material is up to you 👍

Where can I find the instructions on stretching the jig/frame? Is it just J1, J2, J24, and J25 that need to be stretched? Any other things I need to consider? Maybe I'm missing this in the plans.
The instructions are included in the plans and I walk you through step by step in this budget crosskart build series. Set aside some time to watch each video in it’s entirety and resist the urge to get all of the info in 30 seconds… 😉
Is it fine if my verticals are off by 0.2 or 0.3 degrees? Very tough to get everything perfectly square without lots of specialized clamps and stuff.
Absolutely fine! The chassis is designed to be very forgiving. There are guys that have used 5” CLR dies when the plans cal for 4.5” if that tells you anything. Also the fab work you see from me is not absolutely perfectly bent…
