Michel Polnaref is in my opinion one of the greatest musicians on the planet. The musical and melodic richness of "Letters to France" is one example among others. Thanks Dereck, you won't be disappointed with Michel's other songs. Polnareforever !
The real story is that he wrote this song in USA, because he left from France for many years. He didn't pay his taxes, that's the reason, true 😄! But he let us this pure and magic song which often makes me cry 😭 !
