Surdarshan 'Sunny' Singh Chana is an exponent of tabla and jori. He studied under Bhai Gurmeet Singh Virdee, in whose memory Darbar Festival was founded, and also studied with legendary Benares maestro Sukhvinder Singh ‘Pinky’ for 14 years. He is known for his expertise in dhrupad and knowledge of rare rhythmic compositions. Hear more of Surdarshan here:

Jori is bass tabla , the two are different instruments and cant be compared or replaced.Jori goes very well with other classical bass instruments such as surbahar and rudra veena, your understanding of music is equally dumb as your name
Jori is option to pakhwaj not to tabla... tabla and jori are played in different way no way you can replace tabla with jori.
A tabla and a harmonium is always a good combination

Is there any diff bw tabla n jori????
Tabla side is same as kharaj (bass) tabla. Bayan side is taller than tabla, made from wood rather than metal, and there is no black spot, instead, atta flour dough is applied to make the bass sound. The Playing style is almost identical to pakhawaj (that is why it is called "jori pakhawaj"), rather than tabla (full hand is used for ta, rather than index finger like na, and there is no pitch modulation of bayan like tabla).
Jori is very close to pakhawaj
