Oh god.. I just realized... Ken and Akechi both have the Justice Arcanas.. So, it kinda makes sense that Ken can somehow relate to Akechi..

@@chr1s415 He meant normally, without being plucked from different points in time. Ken and Goro were born in the same month, June 1998, so they are actually very close in age.
Also they look similar.

I can explain why teddie called akechi goro. In fact, i have two explanations.
1. teddie doesn’t know about social etiquette. He has lived in the tv world for ages, after all, so it would make sense for him to not grasp social behavior that everyone else was raised with. He’s only lived in the human world for a few months at this point, so social interactions are still new to him. But what if he has learned proper etiquette in those months? Well, then we have option 2.
2. teddie wants to make friends. Teddie is essentially a small child that has spent far too long in solitude. He has yearned for friends so much that he literally changed his appearance to be more appealing to humans (which is the best reason for a mascot character to look like a mascot i’ve ever come across), and now that he finally is around people, he wants to be friends with everyone, all at once, right this instant. Ever notice how teddie tends to use nicknames? That’s no coincidence, is all i’m saying. In short, teddie uses akechi’s first name because he considers everyone a friend, including him.
Anyways, this has been this weeks episode of “some dude on the internet defends teddie persona 4 because he is a good character people just don’t see it because puns are bad for some reason“
I don't mind puns. He's not in my favourite characters list but I do like him more than Morgana. Mostly because Morgana is there basically the entire game except for September. Unlike Teddie.

@@ChadHellgado no, i just like to offer different opinions to people. This channel belongs to someone with strong distaste for teddie, so this is the best place to bring out my teddie analysis. When i see someone call kanji gay, i bring out my essay proving the opposite. Persona characters are basically all incredible and well written, but not everyone is willing or able to take the time to understand them all. That’s why i’m here, to offer insight.
Also i think about persona a lot because i have nothing better to do, so that may contribute to this
gosh thank you, teddie is legitimately one of my favorite persona characters ever from an introspective view that literally no one else bothers to try to understand him, i love him forever
@@dededeletethis9940 kanji is strongly coded as bisexual which gay is an umbrella term for so hes absolutely gay. that said if you were implying hes also attracted to women not just men thats fair.
and in regards to teddie idk about the others but personally i dont mind the puns, i just hate that he constantly sexually harasses the girls and its meant to be "funny". i cant stand morgana for the same reason.
I'm sorry I'm still not over how Teddie is literally the only person in the whole series who has called Akechi by his given name. TEDDIE
It really is nice to see you talk about Akechi. He's a character that means a lot to me too.
Teddie is shaped like a friend.
I mean if I had to pick someone too oblivious to respect the rule that you don’t use personal names if you don’t know the person extremely well it’d be Teddie. And I feel like while Akechi tries to cultivate the appearance of being friendly he also strikes me as acting particularly formal and polite- generally not someone you would assume would be comfortable with dropping the name formality if you have any kind of social grace. So it’d have to be Teddie in the end

Well considering the timeline, it's safe to say that he's in Joker's party meaning they are actually privy that Akechi knows more than he is telling in the main game. Wouldn't be a stretch that they already deduced that he is the black mask killer and he is just subtly joking about it.
They do in fact already know about akechi planning to betray them. The p5 gang is taken from during sae’s palace, since that was (at the time, royal wasn’t a thing yet) the point in the game where the party is the largest. And we know that when the group first visited the palace, futaba snuck some spyware onto akechi’s phone, which is how they figured out he was a traitor. They couldn’t have known for certain that akechi was the black mask, but they did know that he was evil
the Marie poem mimicry is one of the funniest parts LMAO
CrystAAHHL's face when she's trying to have both Naoto and Shinji in her party was very relateable to me as I had done the exact same thing multiple times.
Ken knows what's going to happen to Akechi, cause they are both Justice Arcanas and that's sad... :(

Akechi truly is a complex charcater and relatable in so many different ways. If things were different like he told joker. Those two could have been really good friends

All the MCs seem to just be a gold mine of absolute comedy and I’m all for it.
Y'know, Ken and Akechi ARE pretty alike. Mother issues, way of vengeance... except Ken HAD someone to snap him out of this, while Akechi.. had none.
Wish they could meet in P 5 Arena or smth like that,when Ken is much older and Akechi is in his dark suit. It would be interesting to see how Akechi would react on Koro's liking him THEN.

I've always been split on my feelings about Akechi. My main problems being that I feel the story hand waves his actions bit at the same time he is an interesting mirror to what the Phantom Thieves could have been like.
I'm new the channel and have been binging these highlight videos. And your silent tableaus to MArie's poems is some of the funniest stuff I've seen anywhere
that ken / akechi bit at the end reminded my of my Hip Little Conspiracy Theory that akechi and ken are brothers. similar hair color, same arcana, and born at similar times and ken doenst know his dad + Shido def seems like he'd cheat.
also everyday holding out hope for a p3 x p5 thing bc ken is like deadass the same age as the phantom thieves chronologically

Yeah, Akechi is a great character, and relatable in his own way. I used to be just like him: Putting on a fake smile for the sake of making myself look good and being acknowledged. Nowadays, i'm Third Semester Akechi: I'm me, 100%, and while I'm not perfect, I am happy with who I am. I'm always looking to improve myself and my actions, to be a better human being and learn from my mistakes, but at the same time, just like Akechi, I grew tired of others using me and pretending like they cared when their own interests were greater in their own mind (My principal asked me to spy on my classmates and friends during my high school days because I was trusted and liked by many people; i didn't do it, but I was still asked to). To me, honesty and integrity matter most in life when it comes to people, even if said people are not good; I'd rather someone be outwardly mean and honest about how they are than pretend to be kind, but have an ugly spirit within. Goro, he's that character struggle incarnate to me, and I'm glad I was able to see I wasn't alone in that kind of thing in life.

One of my strong suits is being self aware. I can notice when I'm being stubborn but trying to fully stop it is like trying to stop a moving car with your hands, you can buffer it a bit but you are going to be run over in the end.

When I find myself relating to negative traits in a fictional character ( like how you are with Akechi ) I almost always grow to despise them, maybe because I see my weaknesses that I despise in them .

Akechi really is Imposter Syndrome the character. (Before anyone gets mad, I know his character is much more complex than that, etc. I just wanted to comment that I think his character is a very good representation of it and it doesn’t cost him not adding stakes to the plot of p5)
