Ugh... The worst, most time I've ever experienced a power outage is about two days - and I, was, ticked. It was nearly a couple months ago now. I moved in October ('23) from southern Erie County PA to western/coastal OR. It rains a lot here. One day we had freezing temperatures and rain which resulted in lots of ice on trees/branches. So, branches/trees came down and power went out. My parents and I ended up in a hotel 24 hours in. Then we almost ended up in another hotel.
I lost power for two weeks after Sandy. It was about 25°F. Somehow, my house never dipped below 50°F.
I ordered the Solix F2000, arrives today. Wish I was getting the F3800, maybe in the future.
Anker makes great stuff
Are you aware of any way to directly connect this with an existing solar/powerwall setup? That would be really cool, if possible.
I think the best way would be on a sub panel after consulting with an electrician. I love the Tesla part of Powerwall, but these overall are way more convenient and cost effective
Dying to get one of these but they are all just too expensive still
I hear ya. This is one of the best options imo as you can start with a super small system and add on later when you can
Wow, on a price per watt basis of this system a Tesla model 3 82kWh battery alone would cost $75,000. Might as well get yourself a cybertruck with vehicle-to-grid reverse charging and you can literally truck the energy in to your house from a hundred miles away if need be.
So when it’s plugged into the “smart home panel” this functions as a powerwall? Or is it only for backup purposes? If my solar is creating 6kw but my house is drawing 8kw will this automatically fill the gap?
Check with Anker for your exact setup plans, but yes it should be able to supplement grid power.
So I assume you got rid of tesla powerwalls.
Nope. Portability of these is a huge +
🔥🔥🔥
Do you know how many miles Tesla can travel without takeover?
I mean I've had like 50 miles or more if you count highway. Off highway is different because you usually won't travel much more than 20 or 30 miles without getting on a highway anyway
@@DirtyTeslathank you for replying
But power 2 large AC units? And the rest of the house. Sounds expensive.
It's just so expensive, it's almost $1000/kWh. LiPO4 batteries are approaching $100/kWh at wholesale. Of course this has the inverter, BMS and everything else, but still I'd like to see units like this at no more than $200/kWh. The Tesla Powerwall 3 is a better deal than this at around $500/kWh.
Nah.. too expensive. I will just get an electric car with vehicle to grid/load.
