- Players are still confused on what covenant can get what mount. In this video I hope to clear up the confusion on covenant exclusive mounts so that you are no longer wasting your time hunting a mount that will never drop for you!

This video is aimed at level 60 players, not people leveling. There are some weird inconsistencies with leveling characters that lets them get things that they technically shouldnt be able to because you arent fully in a covenant until 60 even if you threads level.
I wish you would make a video showcasing all you characters and mount collections

Got the Tahonta mount. Had Neena, the "dog" construct from the stichyard, with me. It's rumored she's needed but did not use her to loot tho (forgot). Was renown 60 and took ab 300 kills.
The theory regarding Tahonta mount is that it requires a certain renown to drop, on beta it was 40.
Would make sense, weird design though ha
I've been wondering about that mount because I have yet to see any Necrolords riding it.
I really hope they change the covenant exclusive mounts and transmogs in the late expansion or at somepoint, it just seems kinda useless to get the mounts that doesn't add to the total count since they are indeed exclusive
You're still going to have people saying "well my brothers-friends-sisters-dads-grandfather who was the best man at my wedding and the son in-law of my great great great great great great great great grandmother heard from his mothers brothers that one of their fiances looted valfir as venthyr".
Thank you Syiler for this video. I have wasted soooo much time trying to get various mounts. sigh. why in the world is Blizzard's head up their ass? From the start, it's just been a pain in the ass trying fight rares to get their drops or loot chests. You get there and find that either you aren't the right level, or you aren't the right covenant. serious PITA!!! So player unfriendly.

I got the sundancer mount last week as a night fey, multiple dropped and the guy who rode the sundancer didn't use the wings but was a DH who did some flips to reach it.
You have to use the wings otherwise it kicks you off, why no one could kill it until people had access to the glider

FYI, "sewn" rhymes with 'bone', so it's pronounced like "Bone-Sone" Fleshroc. It's derived from sewing, as it's been stitched together ^^
I just helped in a grp for Sundancer last night and I got the mount. I'm also Kyrian tho. Not sure what covenant the guy who actually summoned it was.
Very well explained, but to note Sabriel Mount can drop for players who only channel anima there, so far no data of Necrolords who looted it with lower conductor than rank 3 , also it can be purchased from the renown vendor!

To clarify: All covenant anima conductor based mounts are obtainable by that covenant only?
And the themed mounts (like Gargons for Venthyr, Runestags for Night Fae, etc.) are obtainable by that covenant only?
An example, being Venthyr I bought a Dredwing Bat mount but he is usable by all my characters. He was unlocked by renown and obtained with the anima conductor via Grateful Offering and Anima currency. 2 Gargons are given for free via renown levels and 1 is purchased for 5,000 Anima. All 3 are ONLY for that character that obtained them. It's terrible. But whatever. It's a game.
Edit: Just remember before pet, gear and mount sharing existed. You needed to obtain every mount you enjoyed one all your characters seperately. Terrible!!!
@@asmongoldsmouth9839 Yeah i remember that, i also remember just having a main and not bothering with mounts on my alts! It felt so good when mounts became account wide, suddenly an alt had that much more value and enjoyment to play it!
great info, but if my alt has nightfae mounts does it count towards the mount count on my kyrian character, even if the kyrian can't summon it?
No it doesn’t count. I have all the mounts for necro and night far but my kyrian pally can’t use any other than the fox and the green bird thingy

Thanks a lot for clearing this up! I wish this would have been obvious in game as well so people could have not wasted time in the first place but I guess not wasting people's time wasn't on the priority list for the one month delay ^^
Yeah, it's pretty confusing that the mount journal tells you about mounts that your covenant can't obtain, wouldn't take much for them to add one line of text for clarity
@@Syiler Turn off unavailable as a filter and they don't show up unless you are in the respective covenant. Also for the Phalynx, Runestags, Gargons, and Tauralus mounts it says the covenant in the journal. For example Tahonta, it also says Necrolord.
I’m sad we won’t be able to obtain mounts or transmogs from other covenants until the next xpac
Oh damn, been farming Hopecrusher every day now. Well, I still got Gorespine and Hulking Deathroc as Nightfae, if that helps! I can still get Famu right?

I can tell you all that the Dredwing Bat mount from Sinfall (Revendreth/Venthyr) is account-wide. You unlock him at Renown (whatever level) and he costs 5000 anima and 100 Grateful Offering. But all the Gargon mounts are only on the character you unlocked/purchased those mounts on. I have 3 Gargon mounts and only my toon I used to receive these mounts can use them 😑
Are all 3 Venthyr, because if not that is why you can't use them on your others.

sabriel does drop ive seen it a few times. only from necrolords from the 2 i did witness. makes sense since its not in the journal for any other cov.
Im talking about the boar not the Tauralus. There hasnt been a single confirmed drop of the boar between wowhead and Secret Finding Discord, so I feel you're confused somewhere here.
@@Syiler well you said sabriel, in the video he does drop the armored bonehoof taurlus. wich boar are you refering 2? if there was a boar involved in that its removed from game. seems all the boar mounts are either multi cov related, i.e nerissa, wartusk. or a vender for being exalted
@@atomicfurball I clarify perfectly in the video @ 06:00 that im talking about the Bonecleavers Skullboar being removed but Sabriel is still worth killing as a Necrolord for the Tauralus mount.
@@Syiler my mistake, was a bit confused you right, from the journal and sources i only seen the taurlus as the only drop. i was thinking you ment that instead. was there at one point in time in the beta where sab dropped both? Regardless this is a fantastic video. i only for a few weeks ago discovered that some rares mounts only drop for those cov. ie gieger etc. i wish i knew this earlier. it confuses players because its in the journal and has a source. game doesnt tell you it only drops for that cov. Keep up the great work

Great video man but i have this question ...Do i have a chance for Harrika mount if i am not level 60 but i am venthyr already ? Same for Hopecrusher and That Green Fox?
That is something I cant fully answer, characters under level 60 act in a weird way. Essentially yes though you do have a chance at some of these mounts, for example Hopecrusher was confirmed to drop for a sub level 60 character doing threads of fate as Venthyr but that may not be the case for all of them
Can confirm I got drop from Hopecrusher on my lvl 51 Venth toon. However, you will not be able to learn it till lvl 60. Unfortunately after been learned this mount can be used by Venth toons only.

I really want an unarmored tauralus but i'm a venthyr. Even if i level a necrolord and obtain the mount, i can't use it on my venthyr?

Iv seen people with nightfae pickup loot Gieger mount before..u just need the covenant to summon the mobs.
Oh have any proof of a non necrolord person getting the mount?

@@Whiteboi3439 Were they max level? We'd need some kind of proof considering the wow secret discord containing tens of thousands of players and wowhead kill data/comments, there hasnt been a single confirmed non necro loot of it

The Sabriel Mount is still dropping, a friend of mine got it (He is Necrolord)
The boar? Or the Tauralus? As I mentioned the boar is gone but the Tauralus still drops

@@Syiler i was "wasting my time" on that rare yesterday and 2 kyrian and a night fae got it to drop. i didn't believe them when they said what covenant they were so i looked them up and sure enough, they weren't lying. so idk what to tell you.
As a level 60 character? Because they would be the first person since beta and launch to get it as non venthyr, so you can see why I wouldn't be able to just believe that.
The mount even says Venthyr on it in the journal. Also, if you toggle off unavailable on a non Venthyr it doesn't even show up because it is unavailable for other covenants.

Night Mare is not in here. That is a Night Fae only mount.

@@fridahultgren8865 you linked an early beta post, it was changed for live so that anyone can get it. You just need to speak to a guard at the heart of the forest and ask them to get Ysera out for you

Some people consider it a hobbie like building a track car or a ricer or like writing songs on piano or guitar etc, or like woodworking. The differences are WHAT are you getting out of it? Happiness? Then that is all that matters.
"Wasting of time" is subjective. What you enjoy, I may consider a waste of time and vice versa. It's an opinion.

I have been wasting my time since shadowlands came out I'm not coming back until wow feels less grindy which I know might never happen but it's worth a shot
Problem is that when it's not grindy people race through the content in a day and then complain that there's no content and stop playing anyway.
I left Wow back at the end of MoP for the same reason. I was strongly considering coming back until I saw all these factions and felt zero affinity for any of them.

They should pull the mounts from vendors that are 1% drop from rares , it takes away the purpose of doing the rare each day when you can just buy it anyway .

Providing as much info on this as you can would be great, as you would be the first person since Shadowlands launched to claim a non necrolord, predatory plagueroc drop. If you have Rarity installed and can share the screenshot or anything to prove you got it as Venthyr at max that would be great

Ah leveling doesn't really count, you arent officially in a covenant until max even if you did threads leveling and picked venthyr

Sundancer is 100% drop chance for the person that uses glider and gets him down. I myself have gotten it and have helped +5 people get it aswell and every single one has gotten it on first try. If you don't get it, then it's probably bugged :)
Haven’t gotten it first try and have seen others fail to do so aswell, don’t think it’s 100%
@@baileysavino9158 I know that there was a bug that they hotfixes that made it so even if you were the one who used the glider and got it down you didn't get the mount. So now as long as you are the one who gets it down its a gurenteed drop when you beat it :)

i quit playing this game it is a waist of time it takes so damn long to grind every damn reputation for everything there is no time to just enjoy the game it is pointless unless you can stay glued to this game 24 hours a day why play it i used to enjoy it but now i do not even bother with it as far as i am concerned blizzard can have my account i have played since vanilla so why bother any more just a let down
