Back when John Morrison was the main attraction and Ricochet as Prince Puma legitamized Seasons 1-3 until Ricochet left and Mysterio and The Mack along Ivelisse, Fenix, and Pentagon gained attraction with Brian Cage
Angelico has pulled off some of the most _insane_ spots I've ever seen in wrestling! If he could have stayed healthy in LU- even in AEW- I think he could be huge!!
The Speed Angelico was falling when hi hit the 2 guys in the ring, the other guys may as well not be there and he would have probably hit the mat with the same force!!!
Years ago, there was once a man named Dario Cueto, a devious businessman who once led a company called Lucha Underground, based in Boyle Heights. But one day, Dario disappeared, having been overthrown by his own father, Antonio, who inadvertently burned the company to the ground. Because of this, an anonymous promoter from Britain purchased all of the company's assets and sold them to mainstream companies (WWE, NJPW, IMPACT, etc). Suddenly, Dario resurfaced, and at the same time, Antonio disappeared, leading to the creation of a rumor stating that he killed his father out of revenge, having learned of what happened to Lucha Underground. With a target still glued on him, and with the rumor going around, Dario decided to go on the run, adopting the alias of "El Jefe" Cesar Duran. Eventually, he became the new leader of a group known as Promociones Dorado and the founder of Azteca Underground, the spiritual successor to Lucha Underground. He and his new venture are currently working with Major League Wrestling.
I just saw my all-time favorite Lucha Underground move. Angelico's Double Splash off of the roof of the building to the middle of the ring! Thanks for reliving it for me Lucha!Lucha! Lucha!...
His promos were better when they let him talk in Lucha Underground. Then he developed a heelish side during season 3. He got to NXT and shined. Then when he got to Raw, they fed him lines like how they Roman in late 2014-2016 when he had to have a live mic in his hands. They could've built Ricochet based on his actions. Words will come later in the gimmick. He could have had the best character arc in his main roster run with his feud against The Hurt Business, but WWE wrote him back down the rabbit hole. Could've faced Shelton, take his spot, Shelton gets a US title shot against Bobby IF he beats him in a non title match prior. Morrison could sabotage The Miz, a second match between Miz and Morrison in FCA Match. Shelton is US Champ, drops the title to Riddle after some months, and Ricochet & Cedric become tag champs eventually splitting from MVP when MVP's contract expires.
He is definitely wasted in WWE, although, to be fair, he is quite a bit older now and probably would not feel nearly as safe trying some of these spots today. Prince Puma Ricochet is best Ricochet, though, for sure.
Hopefully he signs with MLW- so he can wrestle with his wife Taya again! Watching real-life married couples Nick Aldis and Mickie James face Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green at Impact's Multiverse of Matches was something to see!
I remember watching this in like what 2014? It was the first wrestling show I watched outside of WWE. Got me into watching more promotions ^-^ LU at its prime was the best show to watch. So many damn good wrestlers with Matt Striker's hype commentary to go along with it.
These guys our like a family you can see it with all the high flying moves and the people taken it making sure for the safety of their opp its a beautiful thing
At least we've gotten to see Sammy Guevara reach his full potential in AEW... Pentagon and Fenix are both still under Contract with AAA- I believe. They've also been doing this extreme (and violent) style of Lucha for almost two decades now... They're going to HAVE to slow down- lest they end up as debilitated as someone like Mick Foley.
Best wrestling Promotion of the best 20 years. Maybe 30 years. Incredible video. Dazzling stuff. Will be re-watched a million times more than any of Ricochet's horseshit WWE run. Criminal how it crashed early and only Penta, Fenix, and Swerve Strickland went on to bring this kinda heat to bigger stages.
Lucha filled that void of wrestling after I stopped watching in like 07-08ish I'd watch it every now and then but I really feel like it gave WWE the best challenge before AEW
Back when John Morrison was the main attraction and Ricochet as Prince Puma legitamized Seasons 1-3 until Ricochet left and Mysterio and The Mack along Ivelisse, Fenix, and Pentagon gained attraction with Brian Cage
I really liked Wlllie Mack, surprised he was signed and made a star in either AEW or WWE. I think he's in TNA though? I could be wrong.
4q4
No bud, NO ONE was attracted to Brian Cage but nice try.
The fuck 🤣🤣Ricochet was not prince puma 🤣🤣🤣

Lucha Underground was the ultimate game changer. No one did it like they did and it was probably the greatest wrestling show I have ever seen.
agree
NJPW better.
Anything better then WWE
@@duckmercy11nope 👎
I agree! The storyline, the spots and the camera angles made this the best at that time!
4:26 is probably the best & most iconic lucha underground moment
Angelico has pulled off some of the most _insane_ spots I've ever seen in wrestling!
If he could have stayed healthy in LU- even in AEW- I think he could be huge!!
I'd say that or the Penta vs Vampiro match.
8:12
I was completely shocked when he did that.
The Speed Angelico was falling when hi hit the 2 guys in the ring, the other guys may as well not be there and he would have probably hit the mat with the same force!!!
Angelico jumping off the ramp into and dropkicking him off the ladder will forever be one of my favorite wrestling moments
Most underrated Wrestling promotion ever...it's a damn shame it ended so fast...
Man I miss Lucha Underground, dat shit was when wrestling was popping, no cap

Wrestling is so much more fun in intimate venues like this. Small crowds right on top of the action is the way to go. Plus, that ring sounded so good.
@8:13 holy christ man, angelico' did a leap from the top balcony into the ring a an insane dropkick damnest i ever seen that musta been 25 feet away
johnny mundos accidental springboard corkscrew cannon ball elbow drop was kinda epic 😭😭 1:59
4:28 that was unbelievable
The storyline with Penta and Vampiro is so underrated, one of the best swerve angles in the modern era.
Man, that Iron Man between Puma and Morrison ALONE, never mind the 100's of other Highlights... best wrasslin' show since old-school ECW 👌🏻
Prime Lucha Underground- Prince Puma was the main protagonist, Pentagon Jr. was the resident Anti Hero, and Mil Muertes was the main antagonist 🔥🔥
Nothing will ever top Angelico's leap from the Heavens.
Loved Lucha Underground. It was unlike anything I saw on TV before. I remember watching that Angelico office leap and it blew my mind.
One of the best wrestling promotions ever...awesome wrestlers, and very entertaining!
That angelico spot is one of my all time favorites
I just saw my all-time favorite Lucha Underground move. Angelico's Double Splash off of the roof of the building to the middle of the ring! Thanks for reliving it for me Lucha!Lucha! Lucha!...
Looking back it's fucking crazy to see the magnitude their roster had
I didn't follow Lucha Underground regularily but i always liked it. But damn Angelico is a mad one he is really underrated
I used to know Ricochet was good but havent
realized he was THIS damn good. Man the way WWe wasted this guy is basically murder

@@TTOWN205 I'd say more like antihero
Vince legit hates little guys with a passion
@@taylorstrange310 Benoit, Eddie, Jericho, Rey…even Austin wasnt the biggest guy around
Lucha Underground would definitely be a perfect 3rd wrestling promotion right now, if they were on a more mainstream network like FOX, TBS, or TNT.
15:21 is crazy
These guys are next level. Some of them even wrestled in WWE at one point or another, so they have the talent and they're showing it off. Wild Stuff.
Missing Lucha Underground FOREVER
And WWE had the guts to RELEASE John Morrison/Mundo...what a SHAME
Hopefully he signs with MLW- so he can wrestle with his wife Taya again!
Watching real-life married couples Nick Aldis and Mickie James face Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green at Impact's Multiverse of Matches was something to see!
WWE isn't for everybody. It's for the elite. So that's why he got the boots. Only the best stay there.
🤷♂️
Ok I gotta admit 13:10 was funny as hell, I was dying laughing for 2 minutes
Bruh😂😂😂😂
This show was the best wrestling on for awhile!Pentagon,Fenix,Prince Puma, amazing performers!
I remember watching this in like what 2014? It was the first wrestling show I watched outside of WWE. Got me into watching more promotions ^-^
LU at its prime was the best show to watch. So many damn good wrestlers with Matt Striker's hype commentary to go along with it.
I watched wwe since 2001
And around 2017 i started watching lucha underground.
Its was amazing.
The camera angle, story lines evrything was perfect.

Tony Kahn should have utilized these guys the way Lucha Underground did.
Lucha Underground was SO MUCH BETTER than the current CRAP in WWE!!
it is for sure
Best john ever looked as a wrestler was here, in lucha underground. For a few years there, this was my show of choice over wwe.

This. Is . Incredible
Now these guys are impressive
Awesome bro!
It's so sad to see Angelico's talent going to waste in AEW. You never see him. And when you do, he's being jobbed out.... Or he's on Dark.
They should make dark and elevation another continuation of dynamite so we have more storylines
Some of the best wrestling spots I've ever seen
I’m not really into the high flyin gymnastics style of wrestling but I loved Lucha underground man it was great.
Willie Mack could move for a big guy! Great athleticism for sure...man I miss LU!
Loved this show!! Especially when it came to Ultima Lucha!!
I miss this so much
Wrestling en estado puro!!
Ricochet has so much more to offer
Angelico was so cool In Lucha underground, never had a bad match

I really enjoy AEW but man ... I just want Pentagon jr. from Lucha Underground back.
