- A winter solo road trip to Greece's most beautiful mountain region. For yet another time I headed to Arcadia, Peloponnese to witness the beauty of nature and the gorgeous winter landscapes of fir trees forests . I also made a few stops to some picturesque Greek villages and really caught myself being jealous of the simple and beautiful life people live there.
Tripoli, Silimna, Davia, Alonistaina, Vytina, Elati, Pirgaki, Dimitsana, Lagkadia are some of the places I filmed the footage you'll see in this video. Not to mention the scenic routes through the forests. What was different this time was the fact that except traveling solo, I slept in my car for the very first time, alone in the wild, with the temperature at night reaching -5°C (23 Fahrenheit).

Αυτό είναι ένα ταξίδι στην πιο όμορφη ορεινή περιοχή της Ελλάδας. Για άλλη μια φορά κατευθύνθηκα στην Αρκαδία της Πελοποννήσου για να δω την ομορφιά της φύσης και τα υπέροχα χειμωνιάτικα τοπία με τα ελατόδαση. Έκανα επίσης μερικές στάσεις σε μερικά γραφικά ελληνικά χωριά και πραγματικά έπιασα τον εαυτό μου να ζηλεύει την απλή και όμορφη ζωή που ζουν αυτοί οι άνθρωποι.
Τρίπολη, Σιλίμνα, Δαβιά, Αλωνίσταινα, Βυτίνα, Ελάτη, Πυργάκι, Δημητσάνα και Λαγκάδια είναι μερικά από τα μέρη που γύρισα τα πλάνα που θα δείτε σε αυτό το βίντεο, το οποίο έχει να κάνει με την ταξιδιωτική εμπειρία, τα συναισθήματα και την αίσθηση ελευθερίας όταν είσαι μόνος έξω στη φύση.

Wow! I never knew, I just searched for it. It is a painting of two shepherds looking at a skull and located in Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Antica in Italy. "Even in Arcadia there am I". Thanks for the info, I'm reading more about it now!

Hi, John! You were inspired to speak in Greek, Greek language sounds more melody like, and it reminds me of my summer vacations in Greece 😀. Told you it would not be confortable to sleep in the car. You had some fascinatingly beautiful images, but I liked the most, when you went into the forest. I would have liked more of that kind.
Do you not have in Greece hiking trails? Marked ones? To venture out with your family...I remember first time I went into the woods for a complete hike, it seemed to intimidating, and ..dangerous. And now, I love it so much, and I also take my girl kid with me, since she was 6. Just recently made our first hike return in complete darkness, through the Woods, with headlights ofc, and it was...something else😄😱

Sleeping in the car was not bad actually. But the cold... without a sleeping bag...was really something. Not to mention that the water was so cold that it was undrinkable. I had to put it on my jacket to get it a little warmer. Yeah, I know it was a hard task. That's why I set the goal high. Cause if I said I would be spending only one night then probably I wouldn't. Always set higher goals. And we learn, so next time I will do even better now that I know how it feels like. About the hiking trails yes, we do have marked ones. But this trip was not about hiking but rather capture some of the landscapes you saw. Or I could do some hiking if I stayed longer. This trip would be so much easier in Spring. But I wanted some fog so... LOL! Anyway, thanks so much for your comments and support.
