They made a game heavily based around combos and punishing your opponent, then made the main boss not able to be combo'd, fantastic design 10/10 fire whoever made that decision
Basically same thing with the marauder in doom eternal. In doom your supposed to be aggresive and always pushing but he makes you slow down and pase your shots. You cant just blast him like you can everything else.

@@lojika1majik how? Both make you fight differently? The same way you cant go blasting the marauder in doom you cant just go and combo kronika. There basically the same.

@@kel-lee8621 the Marauder forces you to adapt to the new variable, he is the priority in any room. You can still superblast his ass, you just gotta do it as he is weak, like every demon. The primary difference is that he doesn’t take damage outside of his weak phase. The Marauder is meant to be the demonic equivalent of DoomGuy, so he’s gonna be the best at dealing with DoomGuy.
Kronika has to be the least fun bosses in all of mk, or fighting games in general, not because of difficulty but because all you do is uppercut, over and over and over
If you have to forego skill to cheese a boss, it's not a fun boss
Agreed. Especially characters like rain where his best variation doesn't use either of his classic moves: waterball and lightning 🤦🏻♂️
Agreed bro she's too op even in easy in story mode it's so annoying especially when you don't use Liu Kang at all do your aren't used to using him and spamming uppercut is so hard to land since she spams stuff
It's especially worse when you play a character that doesn't have a projectile like Geras, who also has a very limited range for his uppercut. If you're playing as Jade who has a good range uppercut and good staff moves, you'll have an easier time.
True in my opinion she is not hard but just stupid it's not fun how she can float there are no possible Kombat only the ones that are like square square triangle and it's easy but not enjoyful, I prefer towers of time bosses
MKX Scorpion is definitely better,he moves faster and despite only having the 3 base variations,all of them are powerful in their own ways,MK11 Scorpion has so many useless moves to choose from newer players have no clue what's good without looking up the meta

Mk9 scorpion was about 50/50s and pressure , mkx was about damage and mk11 is about turtling opponents ... different play styles for different games
what? MK9 scorpion was pretty much just about the vortex, mkx was about 5050s and gimmicky 5050s. "mkx was about damage" is about the most vague explanation to give on what a character excels at and just proves you do not know what youre talking about

@@jacko7013 imagine trying to fish for a response for 2 days in 3 different comments, perhaps b+2 was unsafe vaguely since the frame data is inconsistent in that game, however he still had other overhead tools like 1, 1+2 and f3or4(?). Instead of being a loser you could actually refute it other than saying one thing and assume youre a frame data monster

Scorpion is almost pretty good in all postclassic MK games (MK9, MKX and MK11). But there are those characters, who were butchered really hard for example, Raiden. He was good in MK9, he was THE BEST AND AWESOME in MKX, but in MK11 they massacred him VEEEERY BAD. Raiden is still decent in MK11, but he is a mere shadow of former himself :(

@@jacko7013 I can't agree with you man, he was nightmare in MK9, especially with his full 50/50, which leads to his combos + ground unblockable fire 🔥 with little scaling as a finisher.
1) His meterless optimal combo 40%, one bar optimal - 45%, two bars optimal - 47%.
2) His optimal combo with X-Ray almost 50%, maybe it's not so big damage, but decent at least.
Everything, what I've said above was his middle combos potential, now let's begin with his corner combos potential.
3) His corner combos are insane! Scorpion's one bar optimal corner combo deals 58% damage, two bars optimal - 64 % (and you can add here again his unblockable ground fire 🔥damage), there bars 67% damage. Scorpion is one of the strongest characters in MK9, I had been butchering most of my opponents online on ps3 in the past. The real pain in my butt were especially three characters: Kabal, Smoke and Ermac. That's why I disagree with you pal ;)

But, if we talk about Scorpion as whole character himself, I mean every aspects: speed, damage, comfortable gameplay mechanics, diversity in gameplay, then MKX version of Scorpion is the best even with his physique, shape with VERY BIG MUSCLES like TRUE GIGACHAD and design. But, if we talk about specifically about damage, the MK9 Scorpion is the most damaging character in comparison with MKX and MK11 versions.

Mk11 scorpion optimals look like basic mkx combos but scorpions crazy combos :teleport cancel combos, searing rage combos look absolutely insane

The one thing I dislike about the last 2 games is that not having all the classic moves of the characters makes them feel a little less versatile. I get that is for balance reasons but sometimes you have to choose between 2 moves that you love and you can't have them both. Or some characters have some great ability but is so good that you can't combine it with others because it would be broken like with Geras.

yes that sounds so fun I get that is not competitive viable but for example in Pokemon, we had this tier called Uber where you can do whatever you want. It's broken and there is no way you make it fair but it balances itself good enough to be fun.

Loved watching this I play scorpion in every MK (I love sub zero but scorpion just takes it for me) so it was cool seeing the evolution from MK9 to 11

Meterless combos in that game are pretty much non existent and the bar often doesn’t do much either

For Mk11 you didn’t do a single sinblade combo. Thats the only scorpion ability with more combo depth and is more fun.
Teleport cancel has combo depth but it is insanely difficult

I use neither and combo just fine.
He also did not use death spin or burning spear which will increase the damage and make the game much more fun
He also didn't end the mk9 combos with the hellfire burn for 8% more damage

Atleast you can combo him and he not that hard if you rush down and I have super high gear vs his common gear.
If you have level 30 gear the fight is just a little above hard,without gear/story mode he will annihilate you faster than any Mk boss
@@coytheboyy That’s cause in story mode everyone is set to level 1 and turning Health details on helps understand how much you have but yeah I rush the heck out of Brainiac as Batman and Superman

Whenever I would play against Kronika, I would try to use combos that end with a knockdown. She has to reform herself from sand, so she doesn't get a wakeup attack (at least on normal difficulty). As soon as she's up, use another knockdown. Rinse & repeat until the round is over
It's a lot easier with a character that has a good range uppercut or a powerful projectile. Geras, who doesn't have either and a lot of his special moves rely on grabbing the opponent and doing some damage then, really struggles with Kronika. Jade, who has good staff attacks like her back 2 and her back forward one, not to mention her uppercut which has the highest range the game, I believe, has an easier time with Kronika. Same with Baraka.

I love the combos from mk9 but mk11 has a smoother transition to chain combos together.

mk9 has a bit less moves than X or 11, and there is no variations in 9, and variations are way simplier in X
so i would say best scorpion is mkX one

One thing I will say there's at least a learning curve for Scorpion in 9 and X. Playing Scorpion and actually being good with him was made alot easier in 11

Back in the day, I was able to get to shao kahn with the very hard difficulty on mk9 using Scorpion.
