OUR MILITARY is untouchable. when we go to war we just dont have navy punching. we are not like the russian or china. our military works together. many times in our history. a branch hears about a branch in serious trouble and its people are out and needs help. they come in and help. we wing we wing to end ASAP when we dont have our hands tied.

My my, very impressive
As of the date of this comment (04/30/22) The USMC has stood down all of its’ armor units ie M1 series of tanks. Unlike The Army, The Marines often use their tanks in platoon sized (04 units) to provide immediate fire 🔥 support to Marines - The leadership of The USMC has determined that this role can better be fulfilled by other systems ie shipboard weapons, shoulder fired weapons, and MANPADS , to counter low level threats.
More great ideas from the Marine Corps brass. It'll save money they said, not many marines will die because they don't have heavy armor, it'll be okay.
If the USMC must fight in non amphibious land based combat like in the past,it needs to have some tanks & should not discard all its tanks.

It is not about saving money it is about them using the money for something else. Tanks make sense for armies but for Marines that are operating from Naval ships and doing Island hopping they are not as useful.
Having marines engage targets by providing information to ships that can then send in missiles could be far more valuable than using a tank to engage those targets. Missiles also can be directed to the target making incoming changes in their targets movement.
Tanks are not necessary for the Marines corps mission. They are the first to go in, or the tip of the spear, followed by the might of the rest of the US military. They cut a pathway, secure the port, airfield, or land for the base of Operation and supply lines. Tanks are suitable for the army, after a base has been established by the Marines, or for supporting their advances, however their mission is not to hold a base of operations, but to create one. Equipment needing heavy maintenance or a base to field it becomes a hindrance to them, and slows their advance. Tanks have their place in wars and in certain branches of the army but are not a useful enough tool for the Marines corps mission. They actually slow them down.

These boats (especially the mother ships) need to be able to defend against swarms of drones.
Some US ships have Laser weapons.
@@djdigital3806 some. They are pretty sweet. But I question their effectiveness in real world combat if drones target the ship at all different angles. Even if the mothership is protected from such attacks, I doubt the same is true for the amphibious assault vehicles and boats.

@@mattz2900 the US Navy has already developed their coyote drones. Swarming drones that take out other swarming drones. Or they can be used to attack other ships. They can be retro fitted onto Arleigh Burke destroyers, but will be standard equipment on the upcoming DDG(X) class and Constellation class frigates. Used in conjunction with 150kw lasers with 360 degree targeting, a swarm of 200-300 drones won’t get within a mile of a U.S. Navy warship. Last year the US Navy awarded a $33 million contract to produce more coyote drones. The U.S. Navy is also the only Navy in the world that is actively preparing to both use and defend against drone swarms, so I’m confident they have a handle on it.

You can’t disperse landing craft 1000 km from shore. When far out at sea missiles can take out the mother ship, taking out the smaller craft with it. The missiles have the edge.
Missiles need data for targeting and naval warfare is based on movement. You are watching too many movies and playing too many video games.

Do you really think it’s impossible to hit a big landing ship at sea? If so please tell me why Russia just put out the very first hypersonic missile equipped ship in the world the Admiral Gorchkov. (That is like the first carrier putting to sea after WW1 a game changer) It could sink a US carrier from 1500 km away….that’s half the Atlantic Ocean away. Nothing the CBG could do to stop the attack. So a landing craft ship can easily be sunk by airborne or land based assets. Now as to your point on movement you don’t seem to understand how these things work. Let’s say initial coordinates provided by satellite, missile fired, closer in it acquires the target itself and homes in on it. So my comment is valid. Note: The Russians followed the missile path and are now way ahead of the US in missile tech. The US even stole an S300 from Libya to try and understand how to catch up. Unless the US really has a wonder weapon hidden away somewhere it’s navy is severely compromised. Note: A US Admiral even admitted they have no defence against hypersonics.

We think of the Russia-Ukraine war as a local conflict, but it is much more than that; it is a global war on multiple fronts. The war is not only a military conflict; it is also an economic war of attrition. With skyrocketing gas prices and shortage of staples, people all over the world are feeling the consequences of the war
This war is transforming the entire modus operandi of humanity. Since the dawn of time, we have been accustomed to living by the motto, “survival of the fittest.” By and large, the rule was that the strong determined the rules, and the rules were often abusive toward the weak. Now, it seems like a new mindset has set in: Wanting something and being strong enough to take it does not mean that the world will accept it.
The war, therefore, is being fought on the inside no less, and perhaps more than on the outside. Our very makeup is changing from abusive to cooperative, from narcissistic to altruistic.
It hurts, and it will not happen without a struggle, but it is irreversible. This is the path of our evolution toward the purpose of our creation-to encompass within us all of creation. To do that, we must come to care for it, just as a mother encompasses her child through her maternal love.
The struggle to transition from our current uncaring and mean approach to all creations but ourselves, into wise and compassionate beings is called “the war of Gog and Magog” or Armageddon.
Since the war is about our inner makeup, we can fight it within us. If we object to struggling with ourselves over who will rule-the ego or love-the physical reality will force us to choose love nonetheless. However, it will do so by hurting us in a very physical way.
The war in Eastern Europe is nothing compared to what we might have to endure if we resist the process. The horrific descriptions of our sages and prophets hint at it, and we would not want to live through it.
Alternatively, we can fight this war within us without firing a single bullet. The choice is in our hands. All we need is to continue in the same direction that nature is already leading us: toward connection. If we make an effort to care for one another, even though initially we don’t, then we are moving in the right direction. If we try to resolve conflicts not with guns or even legal battles, but by strengthening the care and friendship between us, then we are saving lives and sparing torments from countless people.
In conclusion, let us try to rise above the hatred and see the human on the other side, who suffers too. Let us think that this war was given to us so we would think about each other more than we have so far. After all, were it not for this war, we would not notice one another. Now that it is here, we are no longer indifferent. Although our feelings our currently negative, now that we are aware of them, we can work on them together and turn them around. These are the wars of the Messiah who moshech [Hebrew: pulls] us out of the ego, and into mutual love.
