    There are women who don’t love children. And that’s alright ladies. You’re beautiful, you’re unique and there’s another assignment God has put in your life that will bring greatness and joy to your life and you’ll be a blessing to others. In fact you’ll be a huge blessings to the ones with children since they are the ones who suffer greatly when trying to look for resources to secure their children’s well being.
    As for all the bitter, jealous, illogical, backwards thinking, men and women in the comment section, SHAME! SHAME! SHAME on you for projecting your fears and your insecurities towards this lady. She’s done no wrong to you yet you persecute her with words as if she’s the devil. Shame on you! As someone said in the comment section, children are not retirement plans. Children have their own destinies to live too thus don’t bring them on earth just to mercilessly assign them the task of taking care of you. How selfish of you. It’s rather this lady who’ll take care of HERSELF! Than you who’ll depend on your child to take care of you. Who is more selfish here? Yes you miserable parent with 10 children can’t even feed them.
    I want to wish this young lady the best in her life and she’ll glow outshine and be a force to reckon with. I bet she’ll make so many women jealous since she’s not as miserable as them with their cheating husband and 5 uncontrollable children. Shine bright my dear. I know God has plans for you that will be of peace and blessings. And I pray you’ll get a loving caring sweet man who’ll love you even when you tell him you aren’t interested in children, he’ll love you and adore you for you and you’ll live together in peace and enjoy life. I wish you all the best lady in the video and all the women out there who don’t want kids. You aren’t alone. And don’t worry at your old age as long as you take good care of your body you’ll be healthy and wealthy and a BONUS Point, God will take good care of you. You’ll be just fine. Just respect your body and don’t eat too much junk food or meat, eat vegetables and drink plenty of water and exercise you’ll be fine at your old age. So don’t worry of what these miserable men and women are telling you, you’ll be alright and just fine.

  • @brendabrii
    @brendabrii Před 4 lety +36

    Often it is asked, "Why don't you want children?", when the real question should be, "Why do you want children?". If you can find a reason that is not selfish and not centered around you like them being YOUR retirement plan, for YOUR entertainment, for YOUR happiness, for YOU to be accepted by a judgmental society, to save YOUR relationship... etc etc, then by all means, go ahead and have some. People always seem to forget that they are not raising kids, they are raising adults and they don't stop to question themselves on whether or not they are fit to become parents and equip the children with the tools they need to face their own lives in future.
    Children should not be forced on people who do not want them. It does not help anyone, just the contrary. If you do not want children then don't have them. (Matthew 19:12). It is a choice.
    (Luke 23:29 For a time will come when you will say, "Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!") For those who choose to have children, remember that they are a gift from God and should be treated as such. Heaven is theirs after all. Do all you can to be a good parent, do not let them suffer, do not neglect them and do not mistreat them. They are your God-given responsibility and I guess it goes without saying that you shall answer for this responsibility when the time comes.

And having children doesn't prove any female's womanhood. A lot of women have children and can't even take care of them. What's the point?! You go girl, live your life as you want!!

    Not everyone should be a parent. With the kind of toxicity people have in their individual lives and the refusal to come to terms with that and deal with it, parents transmit the same to their children.
    Parenthood is tough and should be taken up by the most level-minded individuals. But it has been ingrained in our minds that it is some sort of goal.
    This explanation is not related to her, just an observation but I applaud her for sticking by her decision knowing how harsh the society and family can be.

    I guess my concern in supporting not wanting kids is, why do we have kids? It's the giving life to another. It's a natural God-given instinct. These instincts enable us to continue. Since everyone is entitled to their opinion let me have mine too. Most parents don't make babies for them to take care of them in old age. However, the obligation to take care of your parent in old age comes in naturally. It's just the right thing to do. Breaking societal norms is one of the greatest lies people embrace today. However, as a wise man once said "Do you, but nothing in this world is without consequence." good or bad.

    Sidenote: I do not like how she was initially shown with her dog. Society, potrays women as these maternal nurturing beings all the time, and when a woman expresses the absence of a desire to reproduce it is always made to look like she has chosen to be a mother to something else; a career, a dog, a religious mission, a plant, and so on. Why are women always supposed to be mothers to something? Men do not have to be dads to anything, and their desire to not want marriage or children is often immediately accepted. Why? Why is not selfish and confused? Can't help but feel this anger and outrage people express when a woman says the same comes from the social norm of woman in kitchen and man at work. Well we're moving away from that, and while i'm sure the people in this comment section "ouraged" by Taruri's life will breed children who may share their sentiments, I am also aware that Taruri is not alone in her stance.
    To you people making comments about her wanting to keep her body looking a certain way, there are so many reasons why someone would not want to bring children into this world. One simply being she's not interested, just in the same way that you may have never been interested in doing certain things in your life. I personally have no idea what it feels like to ever want children and I do not understand anybody who does; it is just like that, I do not understand your choice but i am also aware that it is YOUR CHOICE so i will not try to make sense of the dreams that you have for your life, our purpose is not the same. Society needs to learn to respect women's life choices. While reproduction has never interested me, every single day I am confronted by reasons why it is not an option to me and i would not wish this world on any boy or girl. Just so that thay could meet all the horrors of life, and especially as woman, knowing that a little girl from a young age would have to learn FEAR, BE ASHAMED OF HER BODY AND BE ATTACKED FOR HAVING A SIMPLE OPINION AND BEING STRONG MINDED. TO EACH THEIR OWN.
    As an african woman who doesn't want to get married or have children, the opinions in this comment section are a constant in my life, and it pisses me off, but like Taruri said "no amount of shaming" will ever change my mind or any mind for that matter. It would be us living in these bodies and struggling with the choices other people forced on us while they are out there satisfied with their lives. ALSO. SELFISH IS BRINGING A CHILD INTO THIS WORLD WITH THE AGENDA OF HAVING THEM BE YOUR CARETAKER. SELFISH IS TREATING A CHILD LIKE AN INVESTMENT INSTEAD OF A PERSON. SELFISH IS HAVING CHILDREN YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF LOVING OR PROTECTING TO THE FULLEST OF YOUR CAPACITY, JUST SO THAT SOME PEOPLE CAN BE IMPRESSED WITH YOU AS A WOMAN. SELFISH IS HAVING LIVED THIS LIFE LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT LIFE CAN BE PAINFUL AND DIFFICULT, AND KNOWING THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO COMFORT OR BE THERE FOR ANOTHER SOUL, BUT YET CHOOSING TO BRING ONE INTO A WORLD LIKE THIS ANYWAY. THAT is selfish.
    LADIES, IF YOU ARE READING THIS. LIVE YOUR LIVES. DO NOT LET SOCIETY DICTATE YOUR DECISIONS. SOCIETY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT US, YOU SEE IT FOR YOURSELF EVERYDAY, AND YOU KNOW I AM RIGHT. YOUR HAPPINESS MATTERS, YOUR SUCCESS MATTERS, YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS. YOU ARE A WHOLE, BEAUTIFUL AND WORTHY BEING JUST AS YOU ARE, YOU DON'T NEED ANYBODY OR ANYTHINGTO COMPLETE YOU. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Like the wedding vows, motherhood should not be taken lightly. I know. While I am very grateful to have had one son, 19 years of age is too young. Though I obtained two master's degrees, I wish I would have had my son at a more mature age and stage of life. Blessings to you, my Adrican sister!. From your Belizean sister

    Its nice you have decided not to have children. Do not be guilt tripped by anyone who thinks otherwise. The world has enough children as it is.

    We can never go againist nature, so I am not judging or cursing her but somewhere along in her future she might adopt or cater for animals to fill that void, we can never fight nature 100% and succeed.. Unless she is the first one.. The love of the dogs is to fill that void.. What options? Adoption or animals! Anywei its a jungu thing tht we are trying to adopt.. Wish her luck..
