The sad life of single teenage mothers in Kenya
When Becky and Naomi had unprotected intimate relationships with their boyfriends, they were sure they would not get pregnant. However, misinformation about contraception methods had consequences: today they are raising their children by themselves but they are so grateful for the little blessings and promise to do whatever it takes to take care of their babies.

Naomi I can feel living with relatives is the most hardest thing ever. Me I happen to living with relatives too since my mum left me I was a child by then and since then I can tell you it have been difficult to. At the moment am trying to make it though I don't have a child but my hardwork is paining them, they told down on me everyday. I mean this is so hard to us who don't have anyone to listen to our sorrows but don't give yet God's time is the best.
Lyn niko na kitanda na mattress na beddings naeza pea anyone of them pia some kids clothe pia mm nilisaidiwa wakati dunia mzima ilinigeuka

The best way to get rid of early pregnancy in young girls is to raise better men in society.
True
True indeed
Well said bro, well said
That's very true
Men are raised by women today not men, that is why this behavior or norm is incredibly high.
These girls are extra strong,,May their destiny helpers locate them
Indeed they are strong, Becky is Soo strong,I passed through it,I understand the situation, but God has been faithful to me
@lucy wachira... well, it’s nothing new in African countries or South America to have a child with young age.
My mother had my older brother in 1977 with age 15 and most of people that time did the same thing.
My friend is from Colombia, she had her daughter at age 15 and became a grandmother at age of 32.
Ameen
Lucy...u can be their helper too
I got pregnant at 18, that was after staying home for two years due to lack of fees,I knew my parents will turn so mad at me but I said hata wakuwe mad at me huyu mtoi nitamzaa,it was so heartbreaking coz the guy who was responsible for it even suggested for an abortion 😢😭 I said no liwalo na liwe I'm gonna have my kid,I started a small grocery which supported me and managed to shop for my baby... believe me by the time I delivered had done all the shopping for my baby and had enough cash ya kunisukuma hadi nipate nguvu. my babyboy is now grown up....he is studying his degree at Moi University.... so gals you just accept it happened and you take it from there,be strong and focus on your kid...kosa sio kosa kosa ni kurudia kosa.

Me too I wish she can get a sponsor her life would be the best
Naomi is very smart, I like her too
If only she would finish school she is a smart one
I was a teenage mum too, all i can say is parents should support their daughters no matter the circumstances whether they get pregnant in school or not. My parents really supported me and even took me back to school i am now able to live comfortably with my now teenage son. Girls dont give up build yourself to provide a better future for your babies.
Thier parents cant even afford to take care of them, let alone a grandchild and their own kids...

İ wish we would educate our teenagers more. And people shouldn't behave like it's the girls' faults. Even those boys should know the importance of protection if at all they care they're as responsible as much.
Hapa kosa kubwa ni kukosea mungu kufanya zinaaa hio ndio shida coz kma ingekua tumemueka mungu mbele hakuna zinaa watu Hadi waowane ingekua mwanaume haezi kimbia ukiwa na cheti cha ndoa bt timesahau mungu all in all mungu atuongoze na atusamehe dhambi zetu na wanaume tusiwe na roho mbaya mjue tuko na dada zetu pia na watoto wetu watakuja fanyiwa hivyo hivyo pia malipo duniani

There is no need of protection sex is a choice not an option,,,,,infact no one should ask you for sex if he has not put a ring on your finger,,,,,,,

You know that living in the slums is not the best, there are always people that take advantage of the vulnerable.
Its very sad 🙏
Naomi seems like a very brilliant girl, her English is on point
Yaaa,...her english is lit..i like it..
Teenage pregnancy deprives girls opportunities. The Min of education need to address this. Give these girls scholarship and life skills.
When Becky said No Situation is permanent I felt it😭😭😭
yeah their young bt mature aki ni vile my hands are short bt may God give them solution to their problems
Becky is soo strong..soo positive
Both Naomi and Betty are so strong and brave young ladies despite everything they going through. They are each others support system and it's rare to find such true and real friendship. The sacrifices they both making for their beautiful bundles of joy.

This has reminded me back in 2009 when I got pregnant at 16.lt was not easy l had to run away from home to Shags my dad didn't want me at all thanks to my baby daddy who came to my rescue and that's how I got married
Love you my small sizs...there is no permanent situation Ata mashida zi hukua na mwisho,, so don't worry God is watching you.. Love you and may you find a ray of light. 🤲🤲🤲
I can feel their pain, I was 22 but the trauma I went through, has taken 4 years to regain my consciousness. May God see them through.
Parents, when you are teaching your teenage daughters about abstention and safe sex, teach your sons too. Don't leave the whole responsibility and burden to the girl child. Boys should also know that the result of sex is pregnancy. I hate what these girls are going through!
Teenage pregnancy really does put the girls in a between the a rock and a hard place situation. They need support though parenting and the ones not parenting need advice and mentorship.
I love how Lynn is always positive in all situations, all encouraging. God bless you🙏
I also gave birth at 17 currently my son is 13 years he's in class 8 now..I swear I was the most confused element at that time..My dad was very supportive he booked me as a private candidate at KNEC so that i can sit for my KCSE..And I thank God through all that I conquered..went to Uni graduated and now abroad still working for my boy...Funny enough my dead beat baby daddy had guts to come ask for his son when he was 10..🤣🤣 Story for another day but never ever would i allow him in my son's life after you shut yourself out from Day 1..
Don't do that... He is coming for his son not for you, his son will blame you as a man for blocking him from his father... Men have a special connection with their fathers no matter how good their mothers are they still have a spot for their dad... You can never be a mom and dad, allow him to be in the life of his children
dont give him that previlage he wants to see his son because life has tought him some lessons I wsh I HAD the courage of narrating my story

My heart broke, when she said that "nikijua maisha yangu itakuwa ya kuteseka" so sad how a girl's life changes when such happens
When ever Becky narrates her story I feel for her she looks exactly like my sister and sad enough my sister went through the same and she was never willing to come back home
She is so beautiful, I felt her pain through the voice

I got pregnant at18+ in the early 90s I did not tell my Mum cause I was scared of abortion it was my Auntie that was a Nurse that saw the changes in me that told my Mum . By the time my Mum realised what was going I put to bed within four weeks. We are a bit well off my Mum was so embrass and ashamed you know the stigma in the nineties , she had to quickly package lol and send me to England . I left my boy with Mum and she did a good job , My boy will be 29 years this year with A masters degree from a top University in London. I never look back and always thank GOD for given me a good Mother and a special son.. i think if there could be a law where a man impregnate a girl he should be put in action to tke responsibility regardless of age. May be ths wll lower their urge fr sex
Hopefully.
works very well in the west where huduma number is functional, ukiweka msichana mimba utalipa upende usipende. Because verything you do is controlled by your huduma number, you mess you get blacklisted.
True true.. In Islamic you will marry by force by fire.. They fear pregnating women unless you are his legal wife.. That's there rule of law.
Will be impossible because the government who make the laws does not provide jobs😩
I got my daughter at 19 yrs but all my life, I had passion for education. So, I decided to go against all odd to take up my place at University of Nairobi. I thank my parents for their support ; May their soul rest in Peace. This phase made me understand fully what young naive girls go through and I have dreams of setting a foundation for young girls. Poverty is really a curse.
Does Uhuru really watch such stories. Life imekuwa hard kenya, high taxes impossed, poor living conditions and such early pregnancies the children are the ones suffering. May our kenyan goverment ipunguze high cost of living such kids waache kuteseka and we find a way forward to reduce early teenage pregnancies.

I wish our girls would be taught the importance of not engaging in sexual relations while in school, they should also be taught about safe sex. It is sad that the boys get away scott free with impregnating young girls
I wish we would understand that it is a shared responsibility. We need to talk to boys too
Sex education should also be taught at home , not expecting that all will be taught in School. So Parents should talk to their Children too.
@@naomiwoller886 that's my point, parents are the ones to teach their kids, teachers can only add on to that
Talk doesn’t help. They should be put on contraceptives once they turn 13

Kabisa,,coz I doubt if many locals who really need this stories for awareness and education can't afford youtube
Tuko should be Aired in one of the most viewed stations (Ktn,Citizen,Ntv) .It really helps in covering Real life situations. And am glad they have an initiative for helping the needy during this hard time . God bless you Tuko!

Am happy to see tuko airing these girls. The first time I watched Becky's story on ebru I cried myself out. Kuzaa sio Mwisho wa masomo
life is so unfair sometimes...please mtusaidie na paybill number tuwatumie tumie kitu ndogo ndogo..ata kama ni kidogo kuna mahali itasaidia
You can contact Becky and Naomi through Becky on 0794120614, registered under her sister's name ( Cindy Okinyo).
Waaaa I have watched this ,and sunk into deep thoughts,I have lady I provide everything yet she can't appreciate , while somebody truly need someone to lean on .
We all complain about our situations in life...we are far far much better....God if i ever complain am sorry.😓
Am saying the same thing,,,God forgive me
Thx Lyn for this story may God show them the way what amazes me with you Lyn you are simple and humble popote huwa unaenda unakuwanga comfortable kujifanyi special kudos😍💕
Naomi has a good voice and great mastery of language, she could be a radio host If things were different. My prayers to the both of them, brighter days ahead. Mungu halali
A mother is a mother regardless of the age. These two girls are very brave and acting very maturely to bring up their kids. Bravo to all mothers wherever they are n may the good God see this teenagers through.
Sister Lynn and Tuko TV crew May God bless you abundantly and always walk with you people. You are doing a commendable job enlightening and educating the society through your channel.
The second girl has a very good English I believe that if she gets someone to support she will go far
Intelligence should not be measured on how well one speaks the colonizers language.
English is just a language like any other( French, kikuyu, luhya etc)
L N 💯 . There are so many intelligent people who don’t speak English.

This are strong women! They will go far......I love them to bits
If all women and girls can open up and talk about their first sexual experience, more than 80% have been raped without even knowing it.. Rape is no longer the forceful experience that we know as society, it has mutated into coercing, luring and deceiving females to give in into sex.. And the most vulnerable are teenage girls.... This is sad, and I hope that these girls will continue with their education....
A man can choose not to be a father but a girl cannot.. You get forced into a life you never wished for.. Most unfair thing ever...
The worst thing is teen moms are regarded as sluts while for most it was just the first sexual encounter..
The law should be amended, coz rape is happening low key in these teen relationships.... You don't have to put a gun to my head for me to consider it as rape, if I say no and you manipulate me, then ruin my life, that's a crime..
But society is not ready for this talk
Truuuuuuueeeeeee
After all this shida, you will see their dad coming to claim those kids when they are grown up. Haki sometimes i undestand why Diamond does not want anything to do with his dad, we really do not know what her mom went through.
And the same diamond isn't taking care of his kids he is just like his father
And he has money
And he has perpetuated the same cycle with his children. Na anapata wengi zaidi

What people dont realise that very few men will marry a lady who has a child or children.
Men can carry on with their lives, its not right.
Very true and 50% of men have kids somewhere else but won't marry a lady with kid🙄🙄
thats in kenya in other countries like southern part a man cannot marry you if u do not have a baby so single mothers start dating outside kenya and they will love you together with your kids
@@shadowninja4903
Really, but why do you need to have a baby first?
@@shadowninja4903 men fear responsibility and that's why as a lady u nid to be sharp wen it comes to sex coz u r the CEO of ur body if a man does not have CD u don't nid to open up ur legs until he a sure u that in case he make a mistake he will take responsibility.
